I had so many questions for Hortencia after reading that. We spend much of the next week outside in the garden as she answered them. Then we began breaking down some of the potions in the book, some of which had very rare ingredients and not all of this world. I had written down some ideas for spells that I thought would be useful to me, but I wasn't quite ready to share them yet.

She did show me how to create a putty like substance and together we created a potion to mix with it to try out my idea. Of course now we needed guinea pigs. I asked the twins and Titus if they could help me out with it and they came out to the garden along with Cassie. I explained what we had created and the idea behind it and what we were going to try to do. I wanted to see if it would only work on using my voice so I had Titus come to try his voice out on it as well.
