Azalea I had my back pack packed and my alarm set so I could be up way before dawn. My father had sent me a message that I ignored that said he'd be there after breakfast to pick the three of us up. So I had bought a bus ticket online from the nearest town that had a station which was only about an hour away. I was going to run to the town that we sent our mail to then take a taxi or an Uber to the other town to catch my bus. I woke before the alarm, anxious to see my mom after all these months. I went ahead and got dressed and quickly snuck out. I went out to the forest and changed quickly shifting and grabbing my back pack. It was still dark and I was small so it made it easier to sneak around those patrolling. By now I knew their routines from all the early morning runs and every so often I would pull the air to me searching for fresh scents or movement. I made good time and found an area close to a hotel to change back. I went inside the hotel and asked the clerk if
Azalea I went up to my room and unpacked before grabbing a shower. When I was done we went down and had lunch with the girls. We spent the afternoon together like always and once we went back to our room we played video games and I let them know that the council had approved them knowing. Monday started the new training for me and I met Mr. Knight on the field in my sweats. The air was really chilly now and since I was not blessed enough to have werewolf body heat, I was cold. I knew it wouldn't last too long though once we got moving I'd warm up quick. "Since we are doing endurance still in the morning, I figured we'd go for that run you were doing in the woods. If you want to go shift and meet me right back here," he said. I smiled and jogged a little into the woods to the tree I always used and stuffed my clothes in the trunk before shifting. Thankfully in my wolf form the cold didn't even touch me. I walked over to the edge of the field were we had been before and saw
Azalea The Saturday before Christmas the school actually had a bus trip to the mall in the big city for anyone who wanted to go. So of course the girls and I loaded up to go. Cora had a headband that hid the pointy parts of her ears, but people were in such a rush I'm not sure they would have noticed anyways. We actually blended in pretty well - some of the human teens there were dressed simply outrageously. We had a great time shopping - and even ate lunch at the food court with Cassie's brothers and mine. I don't know if they actually did any shopping or if they were just there to check out the human girls and play at the arcade. We hit a few more stores after lunch before heading back to the bus loaded down with our purchases. I was glad I had ordered wrapping paper earlier in the week as we had a wrapping party on Sunday to wrap all the things we had bought on our trip. We made a day of it, watching Christmas movies like the Santa Clause while wrapping the gifts we bough
Azalea We woke early the next morning, well early for Cassie, and grabbed our bags. We had less than 2 weeks away from school and I was basically taking a real vacation for the first time ever. Cassie's pack was actually based in Colorado so we had to catch a plane there. We loaded into the SIV with her dad then stopped to get her brothers from the Alpha Academy. I popped out real quick to exchange gifts with my brother and promised not to open them until Christmas. I know he was bummed I wouldn't be going home with him but he understood. We hugged and then I was off to the airport with Cassie and her family. On the way there I asked about how long the flight was and how they dealt with the small seats on the plane. they boys laughed and explained that they had a private jet at the pack's disposal and that it had dropped their brother, the alpha off in New York last night for business and was ready at the airport for us. I was surprised and then the more I thought about
Azalea It was a beautiful room with a huge picture window and window seat. I couldn't wait to sit there and read later, looking out into the gardens. The bed was a giant 4 poster bed with matching dresser that had a flat screen TV on it. Next to the bed was a night stand and the TV remote. I hung my things quickly in the closet and went to grab a shower. The bathroom had a huge glass shower with multiple heads that felt like warm rain. I almost didn't want to get out. I threw on some nice dark wash jeans and a purple turtle neck sweater to help keep me warm. I hadn't really thought much about my hair lately, but noticed that it had gotten long, reaching all the way to my butt at this point. The natural color was showing now, a dark rich chocolate brown - the same as my father's and brothers. I shot a quick email to a friend asking for more dye as well as the recipe and told her where to send it. I asked for her Cash app id so I could send her money for it, since I now had
Azalea Cassie was actually ready at almost the same time so she linked arms with me and off we went. It was a nice day, still cold with snow covering the ground, but the sun was shining brightly. As we walked around town Cassie pointed to all the buildings and explained what they were. She also filled me in on all the gossip about each person we saw, which was quite hilarious. they all greeted her with a smile and a nod that was almost a bow, which made me tease her even more about being a princess. Most of the people walked around town not because they didn't have vehicles, but because it was more convenient. I did learn that there was a hospital here that was fully equipped and that animals and weres used the same hospital, just different entrances. it made since when she explained it as the pack doctors needed to be equipped to handle them in either form. Luckily with their fast healing it was more about preventative care, prenatal care and that type of thing. There was
Azalea I got up early again the next morning and once again joined them for a run. The sky was overcast and Rich told me that a storm would be moving in the next few days. This time we ran around the lake, the training center and the field. I remembered to keep my back turned towards them as I made my way back in the house. The kitchen smelled azaming as I passed through and I couldn't wait til breakfast. As I showered I thought about how I could show my appreciation for them taking me in this holiday and an idea came to me from the conversation we had with the butcher. He said that most of their meat came from the usual sources - cows, chickens, pigs and sheep- and that unfortunately when they settled here over 400 years ago, most of the larger game moved out of the area. As the settlement expanded into multiple towns they continued to push the animals out. There were some wild wolves and the such, but not things like deer, elk, wild boar or even bison. On occasion one migh
Azalea I threw on my black jeans and a black turtle neck with my boots and grabbed my backpack. I put on my jacket and gloves so I wouldn't be so cold. I opened the window just enough for me to squeeze through - I didn't want them to be able to feel the breeze through the open window. Once I was sure no one was around, I jumped to the ground landing silently on my feet. I glanced around again before taking off down the road, avoiding as many street lights as possible. I made it to Corey, the butcher's, shop right after 9. He had a small refridgerated truck running and when he saw me he jumped in the driver's seat. I hopped in the passanger side and he asked me again if I was sure. I just laughed and told him, "Let's go." I asked him about the town, about the alpha - both Rich and his son - as well as his family as we drove. Luckily he had a lead foot and there were almost no other vehicles on the roads we traveled as we made good time - only an hour and a half. He said he
Logan It’s been a year now. To the day. Today is her official Luna ceremony and the whole council and all of our friends are here to watch and to celebrate with us. I won’t say it’s been easy, but it’s been worth it. To see the carefree way that she laughs and loves, different than before. It made me almost grateful that she didn’t remember everything and it’s been fun to make new memories with her. Seeing her finally walk down the aisle to me with her father by her side, both of them in tears, took my breath away. She was always beautiful, but today she was exceptionally stunning, stealing my very breath. Patching things up with her father again took longer than anything else. I hadn’t ever really talked much to her about her feelings towards him but he explained to me that she had told him she forgave him and that he needed to forgive himself the day before the war. And he struggled with it more this year as he tried to gain her forgiveness again.. But in the end I think he found
AzaleaI didn’t know where I was but where ever it was I felt safe. It wasn’t very bright a pale light illuminating a pathway in front of me. I felt something brush my hand and looked down to see my wolf beside me, her red fur shining and reflecting the little bit of light. How was she here with me? I thought as I ran my hands thru her soft fur, making her purr. I giggled. A wolf purring sounds kinda silly. She made a soft bark before bounding up the path away from me. I followed her quickly, not wanting to be away from her.It wasn’t long before I was in a clearing that was familiar to me. And in the middle, petting my wolf, was the moon goddess. “Am I dead?” I asked sadly as I approached the two. The moon goddess took my hand when I got close and gestured for me to sit, my wolf moving to put her head on my lap once I did.“Not yet my dear. You have a choice, you and your wolf. You did a good thing Azalea, but I know that it weighs heavy on your heart. You can choose, both of you to
LoganI watched as her eyes turned back into their silvery color and finally close. I could feel her breathing and I could still feel a very tiny spark inside of her so I knew she wasn’t gone, just very very drained. I picked her up and began walking back towards camp. I kept my eyes forward, the scene around us too horrific to even imagine. I heard several people loosing their stomachs around us.Behind me I heard Lucas tell some of the fae “bring the rain. We all need to ... rinse the day off.” I had just stepped into the forest when I felt the rain start again. My little mate made the rain turn to snow the first time and then after than I think the fae were too scared to do anything. People moved out of my way as I walked, some moving in fear others in reverence. I signed and knew that there would be a lot of questions once she woke.I could feel the rain washing down my mostly naked body and shifted Azalea to the other side so that the rain could wash off Arick... or what was left
AzaleaI drew my sword and ran for Arick, not making it far before a were jumped in front of me. I dispatched him quickly and looked around for Arick again. I saw the working tirelessly with their elements, a storm brewing above us. The rain would start any minute and while that would hinder the fire fae it would aid the others. I fought off another attacker, still looking for Arick.I was distracted and barely missed the claws aimed at my face. Luckily my mate, in his large black wolf form had grabbed onto the body that tried to attack me.Eyes open my love, he linked to me as he tore into the other were. I turned and got a glimpse of Arick fighting through my second line. I growled loudly, putting power into it, causing the air to vibrate with my anger. The twins were nearby, fighting beside a few of the second line witches and fae. I used my air to push aside bodies as I made my way after Arick. The smell of blood and burned flesh because almost nauseating before the sky spilt open
Azalea I came back my arms laden with snacks and drinks and we sat around quietly munching. Steve and my father were keeping an eye on Arick’s camp trying to keep an estimate of people still coming in. They were already up to 7000. Suddenly the door busted open and there in the doorway stood my twin protectors, my friends, my brothers. I jumped up and rushed over to them wrapping an arm around each of them, the others on my heels. They sandwiched me in a hug squeezing the breath out of me for a minute before letting me go to greet the others. Behind them was Corsica and Stanley and I greeted them as well. We all squeezed in the small area while they gave an update. The twins had escorted the fae to their pack lands and had a quick visit with their family before returning. I was glad they were back and I told them that we had extra beds in the head quarters. Once Steve updated everyone on the numbers -8000 people now - we decided to call it a night. Tomorrow was the big day. I actua
Taylor I spent a few hours with my pack, double checking gear, and doing warm ups with them to make sure we stayed fresh and ready to go. I wanted to have dinner with my sister so I headed back through the portal and began looking for her. I checked the hospital, the mess hall and head quarters before going to central ops. There I saw my father and Steve watching the monitors. I asked if they had seen her and they both nodded no. “I saw her last in the woods. That was a few hours ago. You might check there though,” my father said looking at me. “Alright. I’m going to find her and then go to dinner if you guys want to join,” I replied before walking out. I headed to the forest and began searching for her scent. I frowned when I didn’t smell anything until I remembered the potion. She ws probably still taking it for precautions. I began searching for signs and trying to listen hard for her breathing. Finally I picked up another heartbeat and followed it to my sister. She was asleep cra
Azalea I went straight out to my garden right as the sun was rising and began cutting the plants I needed. There was only one I needed and I knew who would have some as well as be able to help me. When I turned around to go back to the head quarters to see if she was awake, I was startled to see her behind me smiling. I smiled back and said “I should have known. You already have it don’t you? You don’t happen to have a reversal of sorts for it do you? I know it usually only lasts a few hours but I don’t want the twins knocked out for that long if they don’t have to be.” “I do and here, I’ve already prepared it,” she replied smiling as she handed me the wolfsbane and a small vial with a blue potion. I hugged her again and ran off to go wake up Steve. On the way I banged on the trailer door and said loudly to Lucas through our mind link GOOD MORNING LOVE BIRDS! I NEED YOU UP AND DRESSED. YOU HAVE A MISSION. I heard his growl and Cora’s giggle and knew that I would see them soon. Stev
Azalea9 days. And now that it was finally set, I was nervous. Were we really ready for this? Could I do this? I laid on the top of the RV looking up at the stars, letting the finality of it all wash over me. A year that passed so quickly and yet horrifically slow at the same time. Everything we’ve been doing cumulatively coming together. Tomorrow I would go to the fae lands and make sure that our people were getting sorted. The call would go out and they would begin pouring in from all over the country.Th elders would send out the call to be answered and answered it would like an echo in a cave rebounding exponentially. My front line of fae, witches and enforcers would be here in 3 days while those in the second and third lines would be in fae within the next 5 days. Chance’s team would join us on day 6 right before Arick’s team, ideally, would move in. Day 6 would also see all of the elders and the generals with me for a finally run down all together. In 6 days I would see my mate
AzaleaWhile we were away Steve made the arrangements for the other council members to come visit later in the week. I spent most of the next day asleep but on the second day I was up and ready to go. Charlotte and Mrs. Morris, who would be interim witch council member, would be the first to come visit followed by Elder Chris from the bear shifters and Elder Sarah from the feline shifters a few days later, the later two who were each bringing with them their top alpha. Rich would be going back and forth as the council members were supposed to be visiting with "me" and him at our pack. In reality he would be helping them go back and forth between the portals. Chance and Lucas showed up on the third day like I had requested. We chatted for a bit and they were both relieved to see I was pretty much back to normal. I had Lucas and Steve put on their gear and show Chance how it worked. The metal smith fae had come through the night before and brought with them additional weapons wh
