I stayed in the bathroom for almost an hour, just staring at my reflection. I was stunned, actually, more than stunned.

My world felt like it was slowly stilting. How I didn't notice the mark on the left side of my neck for the last two days is beyond me.

With my hair still gathered to my right shoulder, I constantly stared at the red-ish, pink-ish mark. I'd ran the tips of my fingers across the mark and felt how tender it was.
