Chapter 08

* Dorian's POV *

" I don't know, I'm just saying, " He says.

" And what makes you think she wants something from us? " Kaden asked.

" I don't know, you tell me. Why does she hate Ashina all of a sudden? " Caddel shrugged with a scoff.

" She doesn't. She's only mad at her 'cause she ruined her dress " Kaden responded with a scoff.

" But what does she have to do with the affected family then? Why was her guard at the family's house? And why would that little boy deny it? " Caddel asked again.

" You two should trgue about that. We have bigger issues at hand " I scolded and they kept mute immediately.

* Daciana's POV *

" Here My queen " Dolph handed over to me my already washed robe.

I took it from him and then sniffed its scent lightly and then nodded in satisfaction.

" She did wash it herself," I said and he also nodded in acknowledgment.

" Any report? " I asked when I noticed he was still standing before me and refusing to leave.

" Yes. I found out the cause of the disease " He said and I snapped my eyes at him in surprise.

" Really? " I asked to be sure and he nodded. He turned his back against me and hearing some spells come out from his mouth, a black portal opened, then he turned to me.

" Follow me please " He pleaded, gesturing at the portal.

I stood and then he led the way and I followed behind.

Entering the portal, I realized we had traveled back in time.

* Some weeks ago *

" Mom.. mom.. over here Mom " A little boy dragged his mom over to a stall where puddings were being sold.

" No, Damon.. no puddings for you, " His mom said and then turned to leave, dragging the little boy with her.

" Mo,m, please. " Damon pleaded, then faked a sad face but His mom refused and only walked on.

Damon sighed and then walked after his mom.

His mom suddenly stopped like a strong force held her down and confused Damon turned to her mom with a raised brow.

" Mom, are you okay? " He asked worriedly.

His mom snapped out of whatever force it was that was holding her and then smiled weirdly at her son.

" Yeah. You know what? We should have puddings for dinner tonight " She said and little Damon jumped up in joy as he walked back to the stall with his mom.

They got enough puddings that would be okay for them to have dinner that night.

" Thanks, Mom" Damon thanked his mom as they walked back home with the bags containing puddings and his mom only smiled confusedly.

Why had she bought them?

Meanwhile, some dark invincible flames were emitting from the puddings.

I turned my face to the stall where they had bought the puddings and it wasn't there anymore.. like it vanished.

I turned to Dolph and he was already looking at me with the same confused eyes.

" Someone planned it? " He asked and I nodded.

" We should... " I stopped him with a raise of my hands in the air and he turned to me with raised brows.

" Someone's coming into the lounge," I said and immediately, we appeared back in my room.

I raised my brows at Dolph and he walked out of my room immediately to see who it was while I followed behind, after putting on my mask.

Getting to the lounge, it was Dorian's guard, Conri.

" Are you trying to break in? " Dolph asked behind him and he turned at once.

He saw me behind and he bowed lightly. " Your Highness, Alpha Dorian seeks your attention " He stated.

" Why are you in my lounge? " I asked instead, with a raised brow and when he saw the serious look on my face, he cleared his throat.

" I knocked severally but got no answer and I thought you were probably not aware I was knocking, I didn't mean to invade your privacy " He apologized immediately.

" What does your Alpha want from me? " I asked, uninterestedly.

" I have no right to disclose that your highness," He said with another bow.

I sighed and then exchanged glances with Dolph before proceeding to walk out of my lounge together with the guard.

" Her Royal Highness Is Here " The Royal Announcer announced as soon as we got to the palace's entrance and the gate went wide open.

I walked in with Dolph and Conri behind me, my robes sweeping the floor as I got to where Dorian was standing, awaiting my presence together with his accompanies.

" My attention is being required by you? " I asked with a raised brow and Dorian smiled lightly.

" Yes, your highness, but I would like to discuss it with you in private," He said and glanced at Dolph who was behind me.

" Anything you wanna say, say it in front of him Alpha Dorian. He's my trusted guard " I said and he nodded anyways, tho he looked like he wasn't satisfied.

" Sure," He said and then climbed down the little stair to reach the same level ground I was.

" It's about the outbreak Luna Daciana " He started and then paused. I raised my brows as a go-ahead for him to continue.

He smiled and then continued. " We need your help Luna Daciana," He said and the hall went dead silent while I only kept a straight face.

" Luna Daciana? " He called and I raised my brows. " I'm listening, " I said with a tiny smirk on, tho he definitely couldn't see it.

" I and my officials have been trying our possible best to find a cure but all to no avail. Tho the family seems to be getting better as the day goes but I was informed, they wouldn't be cured forever with our little remedy " He stated and I only kept a straight face, giving no reply.

He raised his brows confusedly and I smirked again. " So, you need my help? " I asked and he nodded.

" And.. does this means you're incapable? " I asked with a smirk and my question seemed to sweep them all off their feet I saw Dorian shift uncomfortably on his spot but he was quick to recompose his posture and he displayed a smile.

" Not what you're thinking Luna Daciana. This is only.. "

" I have the cure. " He was interrupted and he averted his gaze from mine to whoever said that, not only him, everyone in the room except Dolph and I.

Even without turning, we could see and smell who it was.

" Ashina? " Beta Caddel called with a raised brow.

" You want a cure? I have one " She said confidently.

" And how do you know that is the right cute? And how did you get whatever that is? " Dorian asked with a raised brow.

" I asked for help in my other kingdom," She said and I raised my brows slightly.

" She's not saying the truth My Queen " Dolph mind-linked me.

" I know " I replied.

" You asked for help!? " Caddel asked like he was surprised.

" I did so stylishly and you don't have to worry about that. " She turned to Dorian.

" All you want is for the family to be okay right? I have the cure, but I want something in return " She said and my brows raised consciously.

" Ashina.. "

" What do you want? " Dorian cut his beta off.

" Get married to me, " Ashina said at once and I scoffed inwardly.

I turned to her and Dolph did the same. She seemed taken aback at first as she probably hadn't noticed me.

I ignored the stares on me as they watched me walk closer to her.

I was almost walking right past her but I stopped, right beside her shoulder.

" You are cunning, aren't you? And we both know you didn't get that cure from your kingdom " I said to her, without my lips moving or making a sound. I said them to her in her head and she turned to me confusedly, wondering how I did that.

Dorian seemed to be wondering what was happening as he knew I didn't speak out, his friend was wondering the same too.

" I guess my work here is done then. Can't wait for the family to be perfectly fine. Hope her cure works and see you two at your wedding coronation " I said, the last words meant for Dorian and her new bride.

With that, I exited the hall with Dolph right behind me.

Getting to the entrance, I turn my head a little to Dolph. " Find out from who she asked for help " I mind-linked him and he nodded and we both walked away.
