Chapter 114

Avery's pov

I got out of the bathtub and I groaned, I was sore all over and it felt like I was hit by a truck. I cleaned the mirror and I stared at my reflection, my hair was wet and warm water dripped down my face.

I was tired and it wasn't even evening yet. I stared at my reflection for a while before I left the bathroom and walked into my room. I put in a comfortable dress and climbed into my bed to sleep.

My eyes twitched and I looked at the mirror, then I stared at the curtain.

“So you also creep around in the afternoon?”

“No,... Maybe. I heard about your training, I wanted to see how you were doing.”

I watched as Lucien walked out the back of the curtain, my eyes narrowed at him. It was like he had never been behind the curtain at all and it was a bit unnerving. How long had he been there?

“I just arrived, I waited for five minutes after you came out of the bathroom before I came in.” He hurriedly said and I smirked,

“Well, as you can see, I'm tired and I'm heading to bed so…”
