I stood above the cliff and I watched as Devon plunged into the river. I didn't know what he was thinking but I knew that he definitely had a way out. I stood there for a while but he didn't float back up. A figure appeared beside me,

“What do you think?”

“He's not being used, or at least he thinks he is not being used.”

“Do you believe he's not being used?”

“No, he's been used, but…. He's also using Donovan. They know that they are using each other and now they are in a battle of wits.”

“That's a good thing right?”

“Not in this situation. We are currently hunting them both, this battle between them will bring about a lot of side effects that would most likely not be good for us.”

“I see. Like hunting two wild animals. Their battle will alert a lot of other dangers and it will set off a chain loop of unexpected events.”

“yes. They are very smart and they'll use that to their advantage. Right now, we are being manipulated by two different minds.”
