Lucien's POV

I stood in front of the old run-down temple and I stared at the graves in front of me, it was the grave of Aasimar and his son. I had gone back to get them and I returned them back to their home, the place where they had been peaceful before our matters had pulled them into a typhoon of sorrow and death.

I blamed myself for their death even now, if I had been strong enough, If I had been sane enough, if I had been even more cunning than Donovan then none of this would have happened.

I looked up into the sky, something I don't do as often anymore; I felt like my father would be disappointed in me for the havoc I had caused and for killing an old friend of his. I was ashamed.
