One rule: Obey

Tyler's POV

"Now that everyone knows their place, we should go on a run tomorrow," I announced, after disciplining the beta.

"Thank you Alpha," everyone cheered as they chorused.

I nodded and went back Inside. I was not too pleased that the carrier of the wonderful scent escaped me again, but me and my wolf loves the chase.

"We should prepare for the run," I said to my wolf and be grunted. Which only meant one thing. He wanted his mate.

I do too, I wanted someone to give me heirs. I needed a strong Alpha female wolf suitable to bear my pups.

"Maybe we shouldn't go on the run and focus on finding a mate for us," I suggested to my wolf and he agreed.

"Beta Devon, come to my office now!," I ordered him through mind link and he bowed in my mind.

Nice to know he knew his place now.

"I am not going on the run with you and the other wolves tomorrow," I informed him

"May I ask why, Alpha?" He questioned

"No you may not ask, what I do and the decisions I make are none of your business, so just do as I say," I barked at him.

" Yes, Alpha, what do you expect of me?" He asked.

"You will lead the whole pack around the whole pack lands, make sure they hunt responsibly and no funny business of making decisions on your own, whoever breaks a rule should be sent back to me, Is that okay?" I said

"Yes, Alpha, as you wish," he bowed.

"You may leave," I waved my hand, dismissing him.

I was not too fond of Devon, because he tends to make things go out of hands. I wanted so much to replace him, but I cannot, because that role was not bestowed on me, but the pack elders.

Those elders did not live around the pack, they only visit once in a while and come when they notice a problem in the pack.

The next day, every pack members was ready for the run, I went out to address them, like always.

"Wolves of the Black Shadow Pack, shift!" I commanded using my Alpha voice that no one could say no to.

In no time, everyone was spotted with fur covering their body, fur or different colors and wolves of different sizes. Beta Devon strotted forward.

"Beta Devon will lead the run, and if anyone misbehaves, they will answer to me," I addressed.

They all nodded in their wolf form and turned, ready to begin the run.

"Begin!" I shouted and they started to sprint towards the forest.

I waited and watched my pack go on their run before going back to start my task of mate finding.

I started to check out the packs one by one. I had already been chanced to visit some neighboring packs, so it woukd be easy for me to know which has available Alpha female that would be suitable to be my mate.

"Rose Worth Pack, they don't have that much Alpha female, most of them are Betas, no," I tossed their book aside

" Let's see..." I said and started to go through the pack lists one after the other.

"Black Wolves pack", I scoffed at the name.

I hated the pack, they do not respect the ranking system, and make their Alpha's work harder than other ranks, they treat their Omegas like queens and kings. Disgusting!.

It was said that the pack Alpha's mate is an Omega female as well and they bow to her, why would I want to bow to an Omega wolf, when I am obviously above him or her. It was wrong to me.

As I took the next pack on my list, I heard shuffling of legs in the main pack house and I was surprised, because everyone had left the pack house, unless it was a rogue or someone disobeyed and stayed behind. Whoever it was should be punished.

As I stood up, ready to fish out punishment to whomever it may be, I was attacked once again with that wonderful scent.

"I am going to catch you today," I smirked

I followed the direction of the smell, as I got near, I hear plates shattering indicating they were in the kitchen, I headed there immediately.

I stopped short the moment I saw who it was that was sneaking around the pack house, disobeying my rules and also emitting the most wonderful smell ever. Smell of mate.

It was the troublesome Omega, she was my mate.

The moon Goddess must be kidding me, I wanted an Alpha female and she thought it would be a good idea to give me an Omega instead?.

"You!" I shouted, pointing at her.

She was shocked, with the way she jumped, she was not expecting anyone to be around. Thief!

"What are you doing here?" I questioned angrily

"Nothing Alpha, I was simply taking some food for myself and the other Omega," she replied and I got even more angry.

Why would she respond? I hated her guts already.

"You're my mate?" She questioned after sniffing the air, looking somewhat relieved and excited. She was probably thinking I would go easy in her because she was my mate. Wrong!.

"Follow me," I ordered and she dropped what she was doing to obey me. Stupid Omega.

I led her into my room out of instinct. A wolf's first instinct is to claim his mate and my wolf was already standing, yawning, waiting to make her ours. But, I didn't want that. I hated the Omega.

"Stay here," I fumed and left her inside the room, locking the door.

I went back into my office and started to pace.

I did not like the situation and it was all her fault. If she had not come into my pack, maybe I would not have to put up with her.
