It’s been really difficult to breathe lately. I couldn’t close my eyes peacefully in the daytime without Blair’s face flashing before me. It was like it was getting worse than before, and I was helpless.

Jonathan had no clue about any of this, and I didn’t know why I couldn’t bring myself to tell him. Anytime I got close to telling him, I chickened out and said something else.

“Another shot,” I called out to the bartender.

Once again, I left the mansion without security to clear my head, and I was certain that by now, Jonathan and the guards would be searching everywhere for me and might blow up my phone with calls.

That’s why I turned it off.

“You’ve consumed so much already. Are you sure you want more?” The bartender asked with a worried expression on his face, but I just waved him off.

“It’s fine, I am fine,” I told him a lie with a smile.

I was very far from fine, but I didn’t even know where to start explaining it all from.
