NEIL'S POV

I stood in the waiting room of the hospital. The doctors told me that the stranger was getting better day by day and that, I was grateful for. I couldn't wait for him to wake up and be stable.

I had so many questions. I needed to know who he was, where he was from and where he was going. The answers to these questions would make it easier for me to help him. I had to make sure he was safe.

I leaned my head back on my chair. My thoughts were filled with Lorraine. I couldn't visit her just yet. I had to make sure the stranger was settled before I go to see her. I heard she moved out of the village. I hoped Alex and Aiden told her that they had seen me.

It had been too long since I last saw her, and every moment apart felt like an eternity. I missed her so much.

I turned my gaze towards the hospital door. The stranger was still unconscious, but the doctors were positive about his recovery.
