“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Zayne coughed in his fist, staring straight ahead and avoiding her gaze.

“Then why are you acting guilty?” Layla probed, scrutinising his face as curiosity itched in her. Was there really a chance that he had forced Nyssa to apologise to her?

“No, I’m not.” He refuted as he scratched the back of his neck and still didn’t look her way.

“Then why are you not looking at me?” She frowned, standing in front of him with her arms crossed over her chest. “Tell me the truth, did you have something to do with Nyssa’s apology?”

“Fine,” he sighed, slumping his shoulders. “Yes, I did.”

“Why?” She asked, her face softened, and she dropped her arms.

“Why not? Since the school decided not to do anything, I took matters into my own hands.” Zayne shrugged as they continued to her class. “After I left your dorm, I asked to talk to her and had a very simple conversation with her.”
