Aurora’s POV
“We have something to tell you” Layla spoke on behalf of the three sides living in my head.
“Did something happen?” I asked with a slight tremble in my voice. I couldn't believe that one of the sides had actually decided to talk to me about something important and they sent Layla as their spoke man or was it a woman?
“Shit Sia you have to do this by yourself” I heard her say suddenly.
“Can y'all tell me what is going on already?” I questioned them again, still trying to process what was going on.
“Sia we are not sure ourselves but...” Layla started, before being cut off by a knock on our door. The three sides stayed quiet for a moment before speaking again. “It could be him! Or maybe he’s just checking up on you, answer him”

Alpha Alexis POV“When do I get to leave?” Aurora asked as her blue eyes pierced through me with determination and a little bit of apprehension, a little bit of hope, a lot of fear that would probably stay for the rest of her life.“Soon,” I promised. “As soon as you are well enough.” “Why don't I believe you? I think I am well enough and that you haven't found a good reason yet, so just give me an answer and stop beating around the bush.” She scowled up at me. Her blonde hair stuck out on the side, sticking out of its messy bun. A piece had fallen in her eyes. But she didn't seem to notice.“Aurora, as much as I would like to keep you here for longer even if it's against your will doesn't mean I would stop you from leaving if you are well enough. You need rest right now. That is all there is to it.”“I don't think so. Why are you being so cagey about this whole thing? Just tell me already!”She made a frustrated sound in the back of her throat. She was starting to become more impatie
Alpha Daniel’s POV In the blaring of the alarm, Luna had a wide grin on her face, looking like a sick twisted maniac who could have easily escaped a psychiatric hospital to terrorise the entire city with her insanity. “Look at your face, you look like you'd pass out any moment now” Luna cooed. And I was wondering what sick game she was playing with me this time. “I lied, there is no tribrid, certainly not Aurora and I have no idea where she went” The words sounded like they were coming from someone else's mouth as if they weren't actually coming from Luna’s lips, but they made my heart race in a frightening way. I wasn't ready for what happened next. Luna looked up at me with that creepy grin of hers, and grabbed both of my arms tightly, like a predator about to take down its prey. With one swift motion, she slammed her body against mine, wrapping her hands tightly around me. I pushed her away, refusing to take the bait. “What do you mean by you lied?” I asked her, tryin
Aurora’s POVIt was dark and the sounds that filled the air sent goosebumps to my skin and made the hair on my arms stand.A little girl ran through the woods, and an older person whose face wasn't so clear was holding her hands firmly, the sound of their feet and breaths was all that was audible in the still night air. The girl had bright blonde hair tied in a bun with tears streaming down her face.“Mummy are we going to be alright?” she asked worriedly when she noticed the tears on her mother’s cheeksHer mother laughed lightly, she had the same golden blonde locks “Of course sweetie, everything will be just fine” They were hiding behind a huge tree trunk, and her mother placed her hand over the child's mouth.“Run” the mother told her child. The child shook her head, her eyes pleading with her mother not to leave her.The woman looked down at the child and gently caressed her cheek, “You must go now, sweetheart, please “ . The mother seemed like she was having an inward battle wit
Alpha Daniel’s POVI needed to make more inquiries, curiosity and confusion ran inside of me like a raging torrent as I sat in the middle of my room with no intention of getting up any time soon. I was so confused that I couldn’t even remember why I was still sitting there. There was also the feeling of being trapped. The walls were closing in on me as panic set its teeth into me. All I wanted to do was run. I needed to be away from everyone. But I wasn't running anywhere. That wasn't what men do, not to talk of an Alpha.I was going to see Adela and if she says something different I would have to get a soothsayer.I didn't trust Luna, everything about her was fishy. There was a knock on my door.“Who is there?” I yelled. My voice sounded hoarse and broken, like a wounded animal. It scared me how much I had been struggling to hold back everything.“It's me” the voice I knew too well came up from behind the door. Speaking of the Devil. I thought. She stepped in wearing a pair of loos
Alpha Daniel's POVEverything seemed to be in place apart from the air of doom that lingered around the room. It wasn’t quite as suffocating as one would imagine, just the opposite, in fact - it was downright warm and comforting, even for someone like myself. I took little steps unsure of letting my guard down. The possibility that someone could jump out of this room and try to kill me didn’t seem that far-fetched. After all, I did have a lot of unexplainable things going on recently…I was still getting used to the whole ‘being alive’ thing after all. Even if no one knew what I really was going through.“Adela?” I called out but the echoes of my voice bounced back at me from the walls. My voice sounded so loud in here compared to everything else. As though my life was a bubble that surrounded me, which it kind of was. And I didn’t feel any different here. Nothing had changed…not physically anyway. So, why would there be any difference mentally?“Adela, are you in here?” I tried again
Alpha Alexis POVBefore Aurora went to sleep, I saw her eyes. They were scared and it stirred something inside of me, a feeling that made me feel sick to my stomach. She reeked of fear and when she sobbed, she shook like a broken rag doll and all I wanted to do was keep her safe.I woke up and looked at Aurora who had her arms wrapped around me and was still sleeping as if she was clinging onto her life.As much as I liked the position we were in, I had a meeting to attend in the early hours of this morning, it seemed something had gone wrong for the council to summon all Alphas.I hurried through my routine only to return to Aurora's room. She was still sleeping soundly and the urge to give her a forehead kiss almost overpowered me. so I left before I did something stupid. But before then, I couldn't get the image of her tears out of my head. So I gently tugged her fully under the duvet. My heart pounded like mad
Aurora’s POVWhen I woke up the next morning, the was no sign of Alexis beside me. The side of his bed felt cold which meant that he had left the room for a long time. That was fine, it saved me from the awkward phase of having any weird conversation with him about last night 's events. It also meant that there would be some space and quiet for me to breathe without him being right there, looking at me as if I wasn’t supposed to exist without talking to him.I don't know what last night was and I didn't want to think about it.“For how long will you go on ignoring us” Sia my Wolf asked from her place inside my head. She sounded so sad that I could hear her heartache even when it seemed like we were hundreds of miles away- but she was just inside of me. “I am not ignoring any of you” I told her. “Not when you can feel all of it too. You are part of me, and I don’t know how else to explain it. So yeah, I don’t want to talk about what happened or where it came from right now. I just nee
Aurora’s POV“Did any of you see that?” I asked, knowing fully well that my eyes had not played tricks on me.“See what?” Ava asked me.“You didn't see anyone there? I thought I saw somebody” Right now I wasn't sure anymore whether this was actually happening or if it was all a product of an insane imagination.“Nobody saw anything, honey,” Layla said.“There was somebody there” Sia disagreed letting me know we were in this together.“I thought as much” but how the hell could somebody have vanished just like that? And why hadn't they spoken to anybody? “But I must have been seeing things,” I concluded.“Why do you say that?” Ava inquired.“Because I can’t believe that I actually saw someone t
