Chapter 135

Aurora's POV

It was as if my whole world stopped and everything started moving in slow motion at the same time… I felt the air rush out of my lungs and suddenly it was impossible to breathe. It hurt like hell to inhale because all the oxygen had been sucked out through the roof of my mouth.

My eyes were wide open but they could only focus on one thing; something that was not there.

Was I dreaming? Was he really standing in front of me? After all these months?

I didn't know how long it'd been – days? Hours? But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make myself believe what my senses told me I was seeing, hearing or feeling... or maybe just experiencing what they saw and heard. Maybe I was still sleeping – and that was the reason why things looked so different from this side. Or maybe it wasn't a dream; I could've lost a limb in the fall, broken some bones or brain aneurysms while unconscious... and then I would have woken up here – wherever here was.
