Alicia’s POV.

“What do you mean you got an invitation mail from Bohen’s Bureau?” Amelia stared at me in shock as she held a few of her textbooks in her hand as her school bag hung on her right shoulder.

“How do you expect me to know Amelia?” I asked, while I rolled my eyes in disbelief too.

She leaned on her locker which was right next to mine as she kept staring at me.

“Or did you mistakenly send an application letter to them?” She asked, still looking at me.

I could see that look of suspicion going on in her eyes and it was definitely obvious she was thinking I secretly went behind her back to submit my application letter.

“Don’t tell me you think I secretly submitted my application letter to them. You know there is absolutely no way I would even go near there. How would I even dream of working in their company? You know how much I despise them!!” I said in defense as I took out my biology textbook from my locker.

“Then how in God’s name did you receive an invitation mail from them, Alicia?” She questioned as she stood upright.

“I can’t explain. Maybe it was a mistake from their end.” I said conclusively as I locked my locker.

“Oh my… here he comes!” She grinned from ear to ear as she looked at the entrance door.

I sighed as I threw my locker’s key in the side net of my bag as I stared at her. She was literally drooling for him just like every other girl I can get my eyes on right now.

“What exactly is so perfect about him??” I said to myself as I cursed.

“Just look how majestically he walks. He is just my type of dude. Full auburn sunburn hair and just look at his perfect and clear skin.” She tilted her lips as she blinked her eyes at intervals.

“Hello, handsome.” Jessica Winterfalls said as she stood directly opposite him with her two minions or will I say, two reverent worshippers? I booed within as I rolled my eyes.

She was well known as the most arrogant girl in New Kingston College. Who wouldn’t be? Her dad was also a powerful Alpha and was called the director because he was in charge of the vast land that had the college and also some good firms as well which he used as a way to enrich himself.

“My name is Jessica but you can call me Jess!!” She introduced herself as she was flaunting her good shape. She had full blown size boobs and her skirt, just at a seductive length that exposed her thick thighs as well. She packed her hair in two side buns, dropping her jet-black hair on both sides of her face too.

I turned to them and I had this joy springing up when I saw how he stared at her. He remained calm as he looked at her from her head to the sole of her feet like he was sizing her up. Trust me ‘that was really degrading and embarrassing.’

“Nice meeting you, Jessica!!” He responded in a cold tone as he excused himself, as he walked down to the lecturer’s office.

“Darn it!” She cursed as she frowned her face. “What are you lowlife girls looking at!?” She growled angrily as she walked away as her two friends followed her immediately.

“Oh!! Fuck it, Alicia, that was so embarrassing.” Amelia chuckled in a mocking tone as we rushed down to the classroom.

I still couldn’t get my mind off it. How could I have gotten an application from the Bohen’s bureau? I rolled my eyes as I looked at Logan who was now sitting two desks away from mine. “Is he behind this? But no, how is that even possible?” I brushed off the thought as I looked at my blank paper.

I raised my head again to give him the last look but then, this time around, I felt my heart pause immediately and then, followed with a heavy thudding sound as our eyes met each other’s. “Why is he staring at me? Yes, he is definitely responsible for the invitation. But why a personal assistant?” I remained puzzled as there was no possible answer to why I got a shocking invitation.

I looked away as I continued staring at my blank notebook.

“What was that for?” Amelia poked me from behind as she gave me this stare of ‘what exactly are you hiding from.’

“What!?” I said in a whisper as I adjusted a bit as I looked at her.

“I saw the way he was staring at you and you were also staring at him too. Don’t tell you both are already having some secrets behind my back? For crying out loud, I am your bestie.” She whined as she gave me those puppy eyes.

“Hell no!!” I slammed immediately in a low voice so that I wouldn't get yelled at. “There is no way I will have anything to do with him.” I turned back to look at him. “And… i… I will not be going for the interview.” I snapped as I looked at Amelia.

“Huh!?” She gasped out, drawing everyone’s attention to us.

I quickly faced front as my eyes met with his again and then, no other person than Jessica Winterfalls. She was glaring right back at me like some wolfie trying to protect her mate from other wolves. I gulped in as I looked away as I arranged my glasses back.

“Don’t tell me that you plan on throwing away such a life changing opportunity, Alicia!?” Amelia poked again the moment the teacher turned back to continue with her teaching. “We could get ourselves a new apartment and also, you could save up some money to go to college too, come on, Alicia.” She slurred as she looked at me.

She was right, that was definitely going to be my best chance to go to college but then, how do you expect me to work under the Bohen’s Bureau? How did they get my mail? What if this was another of their dirty games of luring desperate girls and preying on them and then what next? Getting covered by the dirty cops. I shrugged as I looked at Logan again.
