Amelia

I looked at my sexy figure in the mirror, satisfied with the way I looked tonight. I was in a vacant bedroom, getting ready to go out once again. I put on a bright red dress paired with black heels and curled my hair to give it that messy look. I slathered on some red lipstick and spritzed a rose-scented perfume on the warm points of my body.

I smacked my lips together and gave myself a little wink. Damn, I look good.

I took a taxi bound to the human territory and went down in front of a club. I’ve been going here for the past few months because I’ve been feeling restricted in the packhouse. Ever since I gave birth to that damn child, I never got the chance to do something for myself. It’s always about him! What about my needs?

I’ve been getting more and more frustrated since last year because Kairo won’t give me the fucking Luna position. I’ve impressed Kairo for all these years with my strength just so I could take that damn p

EmeryI groaned in pain as I held my head. Why the hell is it hurting so much? I sat up quietly and saw that Arlo was still sleeping next to me. My mouth had a bitter taste in it, and my throat felt drier than the Sahara desert. What happened yesterday?I just recall going down to get some water and fresh air when…Oh fuck, that’s right. I drank with Kairo! I hit my head, which made me wince in pain, but I deserved it. Didn’t I promise myself to stay away from him? I’m so stupid! I don’t even remember the details of yesterday’s event. I just remember going down, then Kairo suddenly appeared behind me. I was tempted by the ice-cold beer, so I reluctantly went and had a drink with him. We talked about our well-being, his happiness; then I said something about…Heck, I can’t remember. My head was throbbing even harder from all the thinking, so I closed my eyes for a moment. Long chapter ahead!EmeryI went out on a run to get rid of some of my thoughts and to get my body back into shape. Although I am still stronger now, I’m still not at the level of when I was competing in the den. I was tired, and my sweat was dripping down on the ground, but I pushed my limits and ran until I was out of my breath.I stopped for a while to catch my breath, but the thought of knowing Amelia’s true mate kept creeping into my mind. Withstanding all of the tiredness that I felt, I ran even harder than I did. After a two-hour run, I finally decided to go back to the packhouse. I left when Arlo was sleeping, so I’m assuming that he’s probably awake by now.The country is currently under a national holiday, so Arlo and Devyn are at home most of the time. Most workers are also taking a one-week break because of the holidays. I hastened my steps so I could attend to Arlo before he could wake up.I opened the fr

  • The Alpha's Hidden Child   Chapter 54: The Bikini

EmeryI stood in the small cubicle all alone, hesitating whether I should change into this damn piece of cloth or if I should just go out in my underwear.Granted that they really weren’t much different from each other, for they both unnecessarily exposed my body parts.I observed the “swimsuit,” and it was pleasantly appealing. Just not for me. It’s a white triangle-top bikini with intricate back work, and its strings would be wrapping around the ribs. The bottoms were simple slip-ons with tied ribbons on the side. I also glanced at my nude underwear and sighed. If I were to choose from these two outfits, then I’d just go with the white one. ‘Fuck,’ I muttered under my breath and reluctantly changed into the white bikini. There was no mirror present inside the cubicle, so I don’t really know what I look like right now. I just made sure that everything was tucked in place

EmeryThe Holidays were now over, and I was already back at work. Arlo was also back in school. Since we had a lot of leftover work from the one-week break, Luna Liliana asked us to stay a little bit later in the babysitting service. I didn’t have the conscience to refuse her since she gave us the opportunity to stay at the lakehouse, and she also took care of Arlo and Devyn when we were gone.I couldn’t fetch Arlo from school, so I asked Desiree a favor if she could be the one to go in lieu of me. It’s a good thing that she agreed right away. Amelia is the only other person I know who's staying in the house right now, and I don’t want to ask her any favors. It was already 3 PM when we were finally done with all the work. I stretched my back as I stood up, preparing to leave.“Long day, huh? Are you going home now?” My co-worker asked.I nodded. “Arlo’s all alone in the house since the friend I asked

Emery“What did you just say?”We both looked toward the direction of the person who just spoke and froze. Talk about perfect timing!“What did you just say, Amelia?” Kairo exclaimed, his voice shaking the entire room.“I—I—Uh—We were just joking around? Right, Emery?” She nudged me hard, but I didn’t falter.I looked at her incredulously, “I don’t recall us joking, Amelia. If I heard it right, you were mocking me to tell the secret that you’ve been trying to hide for all these years. You know, I already told you to tone your voice down when you’re speaking. You never really know who’s going to hear the contents of our conversation.” I said seriously. She looked at me with a heated glare and tightly held my hands, her nails embedding into my palms. She started talking in an overly-sweet voice, “Babe! Emery“Arlo, remember when you asked me for your real daddy?”Arlo looked confused as to why I was asking this question, but he nodded his head regardless.“It’s okay even if I don’t have a real daddy, mommy. I am happy with you. I am also happy because I have my aunties and uncles, grandma, Devyn, and uncle Kairo!”He looked at Kairo with a toothless smile. “Uncle Kairo can be my daddy even if I don’t have a real daddy! I already love him like a real daddy.” He hugged Kairo’s neck with his short arms.I was shocked when a tear suddenly fell from Kairo’s eyes, and I heard him sniffle next to me. I held onto his shoulder and forced him to look at me while Arlo continued to hug him. “Are you crying?” I asked. He shook his head, but another tear fell from his eye. I rubbed his shoulder and gave him a comforting smile. I think this is the first time that I have seen hi

Hi, my lovelies! I'm going to be posting a two-part Kairo special where you can learn more about Kairo and why he acts a certain way. I hope this can clear up some stuff, and maybe you'll learn to love Kairo a little bit more. <3Kairo15 years ago“Mommy, mommy! Can you join me to the flowers?” The little girl in front of me tugged her mother’s dress and coaxed her into coming with her to the garden. However, my mother and her mommy continued to chat, disregarding the little girl on the side.My mom always talks too much! I held onto the little girl’s hand, making her look at me.“Come on. I’ll take you to the flowers.” She smiled at me and nodded. I paused for a while because this was the very first time that I found a girl’s smile to be beautiful. The other girls in my class always wanted to get my attention, and I found them burdensome. However, the little girl in front of me was

KairoFour years agoI punched the walls of my room. She’s gone. Emery’s gone. I shifted to my wolf and ran through the forest. I wanted to clear my thoughts away from her, but it was of no use. She was all I ever thought off, starting from back then and up until now.I settled near a tree and whimpered in disappointment. I let her go once again. I promised back then that I’d treasure her when she came back to me, but I failed to do that once more. I ran and ran until I couldn't feel my legs anymore.I wanted to run away from this place and find Emery, but that would mean leaving the pack behind and making The Council suspicious. I sat down in my room and pondered upon the choices that I’ve made. Was it really worth it hurting Emery so bad? She doesn’t deserve anything that I’ve done to her. She deserves to be loved, but I treated her like shit. And now I’m fucking miserable because of my own actions.

They looked like a perfect family, and they are! However, Emery and Laura started talking hushedly and giggling as the dessert was served. Kairo leaned closer to her lovely ladies in an attempt to hear their conversation. Laura turned to her swiftly and scooted closer to her mom. “What are you doing, dad? Can’t you see that mom and I are talking?” Kairo pouted and bitterly ate his black forest cake. “You’ve changed. You used to tell everything to daddy. But I guess you’re too cool for that now.” Laura is now in middle school, and Kairo has been feeling melancholic these past few days. He feels like time is moving too fast, and his once cute children can now live without depending on him. Laura sighed and pushed her seat back in its original placement. “I always tel

You could have signed me up for a hotdog-eating event, horseback racing, corn tending, you could have even signed me up for a Japanese karaoke reality show, and I wouldn’t hesitate to agree. But this! This is too much!” I said and shook my head.Karina went over to me and shook my shoulders. “Oh, come on, Dalton! I looked at my set of alarms and saw that they were all turned off. I slammed my phone down on the bed and screamed the name of the one and only culprit.“Arlo! The music in the background only amplified my beauty, and I couldn’t help but look at myself in wonder. However, my self-loving session ended when someone turned off the music. I turned around to scold the culprit and saw my mom.“Mom! What are you doing in my room? Privacy, please!” I said exasperatedly. She gave me a tired look and went beside me. “Arlo, please. I love you very much, and you’re a very handsome boy. But you’re turning borderline narcissistic. You’ve been hanging out too long with your uncle Dalton. I need to speak to your father about this.”I gestured towards my new shoes and complained. “But Uncle Dalton’s a cool guy, mom! He just bought me some new shoes for my first day of s

Third Person’s POVEmery stood anxiously by the door while Kairo bounced in excitement. It has been a while since they’ve gone out on a date, and today, they finally got the chance to do that. Kairo went all out and booked an expensive hotel just outside the city for Emery and him.“Are we really leaving our kids to him?” Emery asked.“Hey! What’s wrong with me?” Dalton asked, distastefulness heard in his voice. “Just look at the kids! They’re so behaved now that I’m here.”After Dalton said that statement, Laura pushed off the contents of the living room table while Arlo chased Devyn with a worm. It seems like the house became more chaotic with Dalton just being there.Emery looked at him incredulously. “Are you serious?” She turned back to Kairo and held onto his shoulders. “Let’s have our date some other time, okay? Maybe when the kids get older.”

KairoToday, Emery is taking Arlo and Devyn to their monthly haircut, so I had to stay at home to take care of baby Laura all by myself. Laura is now three years old, and she’s the most energetic that she’s ever been. She wasn’t awake yet at the moment, so I had some time to breathe for myself.Emery had just finished arranging the boys’ bags when I went behind her to give her a back hug.She chuckled and turned around. She brought her arms around my neck and gave me a peck on my pouty lips. “What are you acting like a big baby for?” She asked softly.“You’re leaving me alone,” I whined.Emery chuckled. “I’m only going to take the boys for their haircut. It’s only going to take two hours at most. Besides, this is going to be a great opportunity for you to exercise your fatherhood. You haven’t even tried being alone with Laura now that she’s a toddler.”

  • The Alpha's Hidden Child   Special Chapter: The First Words

Third Person’s POV Time flew by pretty quickly, and baby Laura is now a year old. Being an exceptional baby, she quickly developed the skills of a toddler, even as an infant. At a year old, she can already walk and write basic letters. She can even hum a tune! However, what is strange among all of these, is that she hasn’t uttered her first words yet. There were plenty of times when it felt like she was finally going to say her first words, but she sure does know how to play push-and-pull. Since everybody’s anticipating her first words, they’ve placed bets among themselves on what her first words are going to be. The group of friends was sitting on the floor in the living room. Along with them were Arlo, Devyn, and the grandparents. Crassus slammed his foot down the floor and intimidatingly looked at all of them. “I’m telling you right now. Laura’s first words will be ‘mama.’ It will always be ‘mama.’ Every other child that I’ve known

I couldn’t believe that they have the audacity to take their numbers when we were literally next to them!” Karina rambled.“Right? And can’t that blondie even see my baby bump? Like hello? • The Alpha's Hidden Child   Special Chapter: The Disastrous Gender Reveal Party

Third Person’s POVThe group of friends was currently sitting down on their living room couch, huddled over Kairo’s laptop. It was pretty late at night, so the kids had all gone to sleep. They were currently watching gender reveal parties on a video platform.Different kinds of snacks were laid down on the table, and only the sound of the videos, along with their munching, could be heard in the room. They were on their fifth video now, but each member’s reaction was still lukewarm. Tired from all the mediocre gender reveal parties, Dalton roughly shut down the laptop and stood up.“I’m sick and tired of these videos. They’re too boring! It’s not enough for the unborn child of the strongest Alpha in the world and a Lycan. We need to go beyond all of these! We need to invite every pack that we can and show the world just how precious your future child is. Who’s with me?” He exclaimed with exaggerated motions.
