The barbeque had gone off without a hitch, it had been a success, despite the issue of the threat hovering in the background or Ava’s sister surly mood.
Everyone had retreated to their homes, with promise of meeting up again often.
The two dogs still had to be taken by his brothers, Cade didn’t want any distractions, especially since his ex was still out there, nobody had been able to find her, the tech guys were working their butt off trying to ping an exact location, tracking her phone, but each time they got close, it seemed to escape their grasp at the last second and go off the radar.
Even his trackers had reached a dead end, the scent on the note had taken them round and round, like a merry-go-round, it was like someone had dropped the note from above.
