Nova’s POV

I cracked eggs into the bowl, whisking them with a flourish as I prepared breakfast.

Today is the weekend so I decided to make breakfast. I choose to make pancakes with some syrup not to sugry as Alexandra would like it.

Assembling the tray, I added fresh fruit and a steaming pot of coffee. I knew Alexandra's routine; he'd be in his room, likely working.

Yeah!

A workaholic.

I balanced the tray and made my way to his door, knocking softly.

*Come in,* his deep voice came into my head barely above a whisper.

I pushed open the door, expecting to find him sitting at his desk or lounging on the couch.

Instead, I was met with a surprising sight: Alexandra curled up in his blanket, his eyes closed.

My brow furrowed. He usually rose early, regardless of the day.

"Alexandra?" I said softly.

He didn't stir.

Concern crept in. I set the tray on the nightstand and approached him.

His face was flushed, sweat beading on his forehead.

I reached out, touching his forehead.

    Nova’s POV I strolled through the forest with Jessica as she showed me around. It’s been three days since the incident and I am recovering pretty well. The thought of Alexandra scares me, those eyes, how his canines dug into my wrist still fresh in my head. "Jessica, I don't understand," I said, still trying to process the events.
