I couldn't concentrate on my training. I was always clear headed and focused when it came to morning training, but after the steaming kiss I shared with Alpha Gabriel and the possibility that he might actually have feelings for me in return, I was a disillusioned mess.
I needed to think. It didn't help when I saw him step outside and walk towards us, his bare toned body gleaming like a perfectly sculptured god. His eyes met mine and the intensity made me shiver with need."Move into pairs",he called out, looking away from me finally. I thought he would pair up with me, but I guess that was too much wishful thinking.Alec and Medea had arrived and they waved at me. I smiled and waved back, watching as the other shewolves arrived and began to pair up with the warriors.I wasn't surprised when I saw Declan moving towards me and I smiled as he approached."I guess I get to pair up with you today",he smiled as he stopped in front of me."I'll try to go easy on you",I told him and he laughed, taking a fighting stance.I made the mistake of gazing at Alpha Gabriel and I saw him coaching a young she-wolf. I knew the girl, Natasha Ives, the queen bee of Blackwood city. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as she giggled uncontrollably. Alpha Gabriel kept trying to show her some punch moves but she kept staring at his face, batting her lashes like a ridiculous imbecile."What a bitch",Moon snarled within me. Obviously she disliked Natasha as much as I did."I agree with you on that",I said to Moon and was about to turn around and face Declan when I felt a hard punch in my guts.I grunted and fell back on my butt. The punch had knocked the breath out of me and I glared up at him."Try to focus, beautiful",he said with a smile and offered his hand to help me up.The sweet endearment did nothing to allay my anger and I slapped his hand away, getting up on my own."Let's show him what we've got",Moon said and I could feel her itching to land a much harder punch on Declan's smiling face."Game on",I mutter back to her and charged at Declan....Fifteen minutes later, I collapsed on the ground breathing hard. I had managed to land just one punch on Declan's jaw, but because I couldn't stop staring at Natasha as she clung to Alpha Gabriel, I wasn't focused."What's wrong Serenity? You used to be better than this",Declan squatted before me, his eyes filled with concern. I wanted to be mad but I knew it wasn't his fault. I just couldn't concentrate when Alpha Gabriel was a few meters away from me."I don't know",I lied and ran a hand through my hair. "I think it's because of what occured yesterday""You don't have to worry about that. No one can hurt you",Declan said kindly and offered his hand again to help me up. This time, I accepted it and he pulled me up, straight into his embrace.I wanted to step away but Declan had one arm around my waist, keeping me in place. I stared into his deep blue eyes and saw the longing hidden within."Declan...",I said softly. I didn't want the other warriors to notice us."Why don't you accept me, Serenity?",he asked, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "I really like you, and I'll love to spend time with you""Declan you know we can't",I tried to reason with him. "We're both going to turn twenty next year, and we will find our mates. Whatever you think you feel for me will be gone the moment you find her""But I feel you're my mate",Declan said calmly."Oh no, we can't let him fall in love with us",Moon panicked in my head. I understood her panic. If Declan fell for me, he wouldn't be able to easily let me go even after he finds his mate. And it would not only cause him pain, but also me, my mate and his mate.I couldn't let that happen."What if we're not mates?",I asked desperately. The earnestness in his eyes terrified me. I had never witnessed such raw emotions in my entire life."I believe the moon goddess knows our hearts",Declan answered with a small smile. "I really want to be mated to you""But we don't",Moon said and I had to agree with her. If the moon goddess really knows what we desire in our hearts, then she would know my heart longed for Alpha Gabriel. He was the only man I wanted."Declan...",I began when suddenly someone spinned me out of Declan's arms. My back connected with a hard muscled chest and I didn't need to turn around to know who it was.His voice sent pleasurable shivers down my entire body when he spoke."I believe you need another partner, Declan",Alpha Gabriel spoke calmly but I could hear the supressed anger in his voice. I had disobeyed him after he told me to stay away from Declan. I just hope Declan wouldn't be punished."I apologize, Alpha",Declan bowed his head deeply, a sign of respect for his alpha. "We were just taking a break. We will continue training now""Go pair up with Natasha",Alpha Gabriel ordered."Yes, Alpha",Declan bowed again and walked away. Now that it was just Alpha Gabriel and I, I felt fear. Not fear that he would lash out at me for disobeying him, but fear of what would occur between us.I was already a scattered mess, unfocused and mentally unstable from his kiss. If something happened between us again, I didn't think I would be able to handle it."Alpha...",I began but he cut me short."I warned you to stay away from him",Alpha Gabriel said and whipped me around. My eyes connected with his and I gulped. The anger in his expression was evident."He offered to pair up with me",I tried to defend myself."You don't listen",Alpha Gabriel continued and he grabbed my hand. "And that's why I'm going to punish you"My heart leaped and I felt desire cloud my brain. "I did nothing wrong",I said."You disobeyed me""It wasn't intentional",I argued."Quiet, Serenity", again he said my name in that peculiar way that made my knees week. "Come with me""Oh, Alpha please...",I pleaded and tried to tug my hand out of his grip."Don't struggle. Just come",Alpha Gabriel stared at me straight in the eye, warning me without words that I shouldn't resist in the presence of his warriors.Accepting defeat, I lowered my head and followed him back into the mansion. For some strange reason, I wasn't terrified.I was expectant because I knew when Alpha Gabriel said he would punish me, he wasn't talking about a real punishment. He meant something else....Alpha GabrielI couldn't deny the feeling of rage I felt when I saw Declan's arms around Serenity. I knew I had to right to be pissed because she wasn't my mate.Yet.But seeing her in another man's arms made me burn with rage. Even Spirit growled threateningly in my head, which came as a surprise to me because he never showed any possessive attitude towards Serenity.I pulled Serenity into the house with me and climbed up the stairs, slowing my pace so she could keep up.I tried to control the anger I was feeling but it was impossible. I needed to place some sort of claim over her before my anger would subside.I got to my room which was at the top of the mansion and tugged Serenity into the room with me."Alpha...",she began but I shook my head."Don't say a word",I ordered and took her towards the large king-size bed. How many nights had I envisioned her in my arms here, moaning out my name as I made love to her?"Countless",Spirit answered me. He wasn't one to talk much and I was surprised he did."Don't try to stop me",I told him."I won't",Spirit answered instantly and retreated to the back of my head.I sat on the side of the bed and positioned Serenity between my legs. I could feel my hardness pushing against the front of my pants but I ignored it."Turn around, Serenity",I said calmly.I could see that Serenity anticipated her punishment and a small smile lifted my lips. I was going to enjoy this. She slowly turned, giving me a perfect view of her round backside and sexy hips. I sucked in a sharp breath and I felt Spirit come alive in my mind."Do you know how I'm going to punish you?",I asked her in a voice that had gone husky."No, Alpha",she whispered and I could hear the longing in her voice."I'm going to spank that nice ass of yours until you plead for mercy. That will teach you never to disobey me",I told her, keeping my eyes fixed on her heart shaped backside. I was slowly going crazy. My eyes shifted into golden orbs as I issued my next command."Strip"Serenity "Strip!"The word was like a command. I remained still, my heart hammering madly with the anticipation of what was to come. Alpha Gabriel's voice echoed repeatedly in my head.'I'm going to spank that nice ass of yours until you plead for mercy'I felt my entire body throbbing with need, the sensitive spot between my legs pulsing and yearning for something. "Did you hear me, Serenity?" Alpha Gabriel's voice caressed my ears and I felt his strong hand grab my waist and pull me backwards until there was just a little space between us. "I said strip. Don't make me repeat myself"I gulped, my lips trembling with desire. He hadn't even touched me yet. He hadn't tried to kiss me. All he said was one word and yet I could feel desire pooling between my legs.I had never felt this way with any man. Even Moon was silent and I could feel her anticipation.Without another word, I slowly raised my hand to the front of my pants and began to untie the lace.I was deliberately slow, drawin
"Who are you?" I demanded boldly, my emerald eyes locked on the red eyes. I didn't dare show fear, in case it turned out to be another rogue werewolf."Come out if you're not a coward," I taunted and sure enough, I heard a twig snap.I took a step backwards, my fists raised and ready to defend myself. Slowly my eyes widened when the stalker stepped out from the shadows. It wasn't a rogue. It was a werewolf, but unlike any I had ever seen. It walked on its hind legs, its eyes glowing eeriely as it regarded me. Strangely enough, I didn't feel any malicious intent from it, but still I didn't lower my guard.I sniffed, trying to catch its scent but I perceived nothing. It was like the creature standing before me was a figment of my imagination."Hello, Serenity," the werewolf spoke.I gasped and retreated hastily. As much as I was surprised and confused about how the werewolf knew my name, I was totally shocked that it spoke to me while in that form. Werewolves couldn't talk while in thei
The human city was bustling with activities. It seemed a carnival was ongoing and we stood by the side of the road, watching as they paraded in their numerous colorful dresses. The sound of drums and trumpets drowned out every sound and we had to shout to each other so we could be heard."It's the eastern festival," Medea yelled into my ear. "What's that?" I yelled back."I read about it once. It's something the humans celebrate once every year," Medea explained."Let's find a place to eat," Alec yelled and propelled us away from the road side.As we hurried through the busy road, I bumped into someone."I'm terribly sorry," I said quickly and looked up at who I bumped into.It was a tall man, with curly brown hair and emerald eyes. Eyes like mine. He smiled at me and mouthed, 'no worries'.My eyes followed him as he smiled charmingly at me and walked away.I couldn't stop staring at him as the distance between us grew and I frowned in annoyance. Apart from Alpha Gabriel, I had never
Alpha GabrielI was heading to the bathroom when my beta hurried towards me. "Alpha," Killian called out and I turned around to face him."What is it?" I asked with a frown. He sounded worried."It's Serenity, Alpha," Killian reported urgently. "What about her?" I demanded, feeling Spirit come alive within me. I hoped something hadn't happened to her"I was watching her like you ordered me to, but them I saw her and her friends heading towards the human city," Killian explained. "I didn't want to follow them without letting you know"I cursed within me. Serenity knew it was prohibited to venture into the human city, unless it was absolutely important. She just had different ways of disobeying me and making me pissed. "Come with me," I instructed Killian and brushed passed him. I grabbed my shirt and pulled it on as I walked towards the forest. "Before they headed towards the human city, did you see her elsewhere?" I asked."I saw her in the forest," Killian said as he tried to kee
Unknown POVI stood at the edge of the forest, watching Serenity as Gabriel pulled her with him.To say I was furious was an understatement. I was raging mad. I wanted to shed blood. I wanted to teach Gabriel a bitter lesson, for placing his hands on what belonged to me. On what was mine.Serenity belonged to me alone and no one else. Especially not Gabriel.I waited for a while to make sure they had gone far before I ventured into the forest. As I moved further in, I could hear their voices. Serenity was having an argument with Gabriel and I moved closer wanting to hear their conversation."It seems you enjoy being rebellious," Gabriel was saying. My hands curled into fists, aching to punch something. The sound of Gabriel's voice alone infuriated me. I took deep breaths, tuning out their conversation and trying to quench the rage inside me. And when I heard Gabriel's next words, I totally lost it."I'm going to teach you a lesson. A lesson you will never forget"I shifted suddenly,
Alpha GabrielSerenity had fallen asleep in my arms by the time I arrived home. Her chest rose and fell in deep slumber and I watched her calm face as she slept. I knew I was the first man to ever pleasure her that way because I remembered how tight she was. Remembering it now threatened to give me a hardon and make Spirit come alive.Moving carefully not to awake her, I climbed the stairs slowly and made my way to one of the numerous guest rooms. I was so tempted to take her to my room, but for some reasons, I decided not to.Yes! I was crazy about Serenity and I wanted her to be my mate, but she wasn't yet. A part of me still dreaded discovering that my mate was another woman, especially now that Serenity and I were a thing. She didn't even stir when I placed her on the bed. She was totally exhausted, content from the pleasure I made her experience. A small smile lifted my lips and I softly touch a strand of her dark hair, my eyes locked on her face. "What have I gotten myself in
Alpha GabrielI raced through the forest in blinding speed, the trees blurring rapidly as my pace increased. My eyes remained bloodred, a sign of my beast unleashed. As I ran, the words written in the note played repeatedly in my mind.'this is just the beginning Gabriel. A taste of my war to come. Soon, I shall have what you desire so much. Serenity. Try to save her if you can'I let out another loud roar and struck down a massive tree that blocked my path. My claws snapped the thick bark in two, each parts falling apart as I raced through. I didn't know who this person was, but I knew he had something to do with Serenity. I knew it had something to do with the rogue attack, and the secret Lucian told me about Serenity.Which was why I felt so protective towards her. She was still innocent. She didn't know anything about her real identity, because Lucian had kept the secret from her ever since she was born. When Lucian told me his suspicions about Serenity's powers and how he suspe
"I told you we would meet again," the werewolf said, his face twisted into a wicked grin.I stared at him in fear, my breath frozen in my throat. I couldn't move a muscle and it terrified me. Why couldn't I move? The werewolf seemed to understand me and he chuckled. "Don't worry," he assured. "It's a mild tranquilizer, something to calm your spirited wolf while we have a little chitchat. Can't risk letting you bite my head off"He laughed at his own joke and all I could do was stare at him. My entire limbs felt like jelly. I tried to connect with Moon but she had retreated far into my mind, a place I couldn't reach her."I hope my little pets weren't too much for you," the werewolf continued, waving a hand towards the rogue werewolves. "They're so obedient when it comes to following my orders""You... control... the rogues?" I asked in shock, forcing the words through my lips that were so numb that it was difficult to speak."Of course, my sweet," the werewolf said, relaxing against a
SerenityI could feel my strength slowly seeping out as I closed the mind link. I felt a little sense of relief knowing that Alpha Gabriel would find me. I didn't know how he would, but I hoped. I could only hope. The feeling of dizziness took over me again, making me feel limbless and threatening to pull me under. Whatever these human shot into me was slowly pulling me into unconsciousness and I struggled to remain awake. I was still trapped in my wolf form because the fear of shifting into my human form was too great. I couldn't risk being discovered by the humans. I weakly raised my head and examined where I was. I could tell I was in a moving vehicle because once in a while, the cage where I lay shook with the vehicle's movements. Thick chains were wrapped around my fore and hind limbs, preventing me from moving a muscle. There was a tight nuzzle around my mouth, making it impossible for me to make a sound. When did all these happen? The last thing I remember was trying to es
Alpha GabrielI arrived home hours later. After Serenity stormed off in anger, I needed time to think so I went on a run, giving Spirit the opportunity to run wild. I used that opportunity to go round my territory, round the forest surrounding Blackwood, my home. Even with the run, I couldn't think straight. I felt so terrible. The fact that Serenity was hurt because of me made me feel like the worst person on earth. How could I have spoken to her in that manner? A girl I was really crazy about? How could I hurt her that way? Honestly, in a way, I didn't regret what I said. If I wasn't mated to Serenity, I wouldn't want her to reject her mate for me because it would be a terrible thing to do. I didn't own her. "Yet it seems you've used her," Spirit growled at me. I sighed."I didn't mean to treat her that way," I tried to defend myself but Spirit growled at me again. "I tried to warn you to stay away from her. You had no business being with a woman who isn't mated to you yet""I
"Why don't you come in and show me?" I asked in a breathless voice. I couldn't resist him. Staring at his hard toned body alone made my knees weak, and all the resolve I had mustered oozed away like breeze. I watched him step into the water, not bothering to take off his pants. His eyes never left mine as he lowered himself into the flowing water and slowly made his way over to me. I didn't say a word as he stopped before me and lifted a hand to my cheek. "You look angry," Alpha Gabriel observed, staring straight into my eyes. I frowned a bit. How could he tell I was pissed? Was I so easy to read? "Tell me, Serenity. What's bothering you?" I watched him silently as he played with a wet strand of my hair. This was my chance to talk about how I felt and how I wanted him to treat me. But standing before him now, staring into his intense dark eyes, all thoughts disappeared from my head. All I could think of were his hands touching me. "I want you to touch me, Alpha Gabriel," I said
The next few days went past with no incident. Alpha Gabriel kept a close watch on me, and even with all my complaints, he didn't relent. He never let me step out on my own. Two of his warriors always stayed with me wherever I went because I hadn't moved into the mansion yet. That morning, I woke up in a sour mood. My dreams had been filled with memories of the night I was kidnapped. The strange werewolf had appeared to me again, claiming me as his and vowing that we would meet again. It turned my mood sour as I got out of bed. Fortunately, there were no warriors stationed outside my room. It was strange and I wondered what Alpha Gabriel might be up to. I groaned and trudged out of my room. My uncle was in the kitchen preparing breakfast when I entered. "Morning, Uncle Lucian," I mumbled and sat atop the high stool. I rested my elbows on the large table and plopped my chin on my palms. "Morning, honey," Uncle Lucian smiled up at me, then he frowned. "What's got you in a bad mood
The next morning, I trudged towards Alpha Gabriel's mansion. I had shown my uncle the picture and the note before I left and he wanted me to tell the Alpha about it. After what happened the previous night, Uncle Lucian and I agreed on an unspoken decision. We would never keep things from each other. So when I showed him the picture and the note before leaving, I also told him about the note I found when I woke up in the forest."Tell this to Alpha Gabriel," he said, handing the notes back to me. "It is better if he is aware""Do you think it's the same werewolf that kidnapped me?" I asked."I hope it is," Uncle Lucian replied worriedly. "Because if it isn't, this can only mean we have another enemy, one that knows who you are"With a gloomy expression, I left home and headed towards the mansion. I was halfway there when Alec and Medea caught up with me."Serenity," Medea was the first to speak and she stopped in front of me.I looked up at her, waiting for her to continue. I was sti
I was in a state of fury. I couldn't even think straight. All I wanted was to feel my hands squeezing the life out of my uncle. The thought was scary, but that was what I needed at that point.Uncle Lucian didn't try to defend himself. He lay against the wall, holding his side and staring at me with an expression filled with guilt, regret and remorse."Why?" I sobbed, tears spilling down my eyes. "Why didn't you help them? Why?"Uncle Lucian cried with me as he tried to get up from the ground. "Words can't express how regretful I am Serenity," he cried. "Everyday, I blame myself for looking and doing nothing. I will never forgive myself for what I did"I fell to the ground and cried my eyes out. Uncle Lucian crawled over to me and took me in his arms, crying with me. My heart felt so heavy. I let him hold me as we cried for the loss of our loved ones."I regret it, Serenity. I really do. By the time I came back to my senses, it was already too late. I watched him lower you beneath a t
Feeling my anger mount, I crushed the note in my hand and threw it away in annoyance. I was dealing with a lot of things at that moment. Whoever wrote that note clearly wanted to mess with my sanity and I was not going to allow them.If it was the strange werewolf, then he better up his game because I would not allow him mess with me again. With an annoyed grunt, I got to my feet and trudged home. I didn't have the energy to shift, besides, Moon was totally silent, reflecting on our discovery of today. The sky was dark, the moon hidden beneath thick dark clouds. Thunder rumbled in the distance and before I knew it, it began to rain.I didn't bother to find shelter. I let the rain drench me totally as different thoughts racked through my mind. I was like a moving train wreck.By the time I got home, it was almost midnight. I couldn't believe the distance I had covered when I ran off. Uncle Lucian was waiting at the top of the stairs when I arrived home, drenched and dripping. He didn'
SerenityMy eyes slowly opened and I pushed myself up. My body protested with my movements and I felt dizzy and weak. I didn't know why I felt so weak. I hadn't been attacked. I wasn't hurt, yet I felt like my entire body was on fire.I wanted to remain on the bed but after hearing everything Uncle Lucian told Alpha Gabriel about me, I couldn't. My mind was in disarray, my thoughts were scattered. I felt like my entire existence was a lie. I had lived with Uncle Lucian for years, right from a baby to an adult, and yet he still kept the truth about my identity hidden. One question resounded in my head. Why? Why would he do a thing like that? I had every right to know about my parents, and about what kind of strange powers I possessed. The fact that he thought he was protecting me by not telling me was what angered me.I stared at the two of them as they spoke by the window, and then Alpha Gabriel turned his head and stared at me."You're awake," he rushed to the bed and gently lowered
SerenityI raised my hand again, ready to strike the rogues with lightning when suddenly, I felt weak and I collapsed to the ground. The lightning bolts disappeared and the dark sky brightened again, daylight taking over. The full moon disappeared behind the clouds, and the power I felt a moment ago disappeared, leaving me feeling extremely weak. The werewolf, seeing what had happened, walked towards me carefully. He held the side of his stomach, and I could see blood dripping from the wound. The blast from the lightning had wounded him."Your powers are fighting to emerge, even before you come of age," he whispered, keeping a safe distance away from me. I wanted to ask him what he meant, but I felt so weak and limbless. I could barely raise my hand."I shall keep an eye on you, Serenity," he said finally, retreating into the shadows. "We will meet again"I watched him disappear into the forest, his pack of rogues running after him. I tried to get up, but it seemed the strange power
