EDDIE'S P.O.V

Ever since Marcus came to my home I have been having some sense of awkwardness in him, maybe it's just that everything seems new to him or he isn't comfortable.

I know he is a good person but I can't let go of the thought that someone was taking my only child away, it's not an easy place to be but it's better that way. I did take the daughter of another man so it's time someone else does the same to me.

I could tell my daughter loves him but why does it hurt so badly?

I shook my head to get those thoughts off my mind and focus on the task at hand. 'This is my moment to find out whatever had been disturbing the peace of the California,'

Some minutes later I arrived at the police station and my two work colleagues Jack and Desmond were present to receive me.

They led me into one of the interrogation rooms and right there I found a beautiful young lady seated on a chair and her hands were chained to the table. She had blond coloured hair, fair skin colour and a nice figure.

ALICIA’S P.O.VMy father had never kept anything secret from me before. We had always shared our deepest pains together, I know he isn’t fine and I have to find out what is going on.“What happened dad?” I muttered while I watched him walk upstairs. Marcus was the last person I knew he was with so I think that was the first place to start. As early as 10 a.m. the next morning, after making a meal for Eddie and myself I went up to his room to check up on him. I thought he was already prepared for work but he wasn't. He had refused to leave his room since last night. When I walked inside I saw him lying on the bed with his eyes fixed on the ceiling.“Good morning dad,” I greeted.“Morning sweetheart,” he replied gently, still gazing at the ceiling.“Aren’t you supposed to be at work right now?” I asked curiously.“I don’t feel like going to the office today, I asked my colleague to fill my space, I need to rest,” he answered.“Are you sure you are alright?” I asked, gently taking a seat

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   Battle with my demon

MARCUS P.O.VThis was beyond what I could stand, I could sense Alicia’s suspicions but my deepest fears was that she never knew I was the one who put her friend in such a condition, if she finds out what I have done I am not sure how long our conflict will last. It could last for some months, a year, or it may result in me losing her forever, and if that happens, our marriage might not work out.I was aware Kelvin knew I was the one who damaged him; I knew what his obsession over Alicia could result to. If he wakes up and announces the details of what happened that evening to her and her father I will be doomed for sure. This was the pressure that comes upon every villain, this was the reason they committed their first dark imagination. The worst part was that I had the hunger to do the same. I wanted to kill him and make sure that he never wakes up to reveal the truth. Not all villains are bad but the circumstances they had to face had made them what they are, the pressure to keep th

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   He won't stop

ALICIA P.O.VUnder the moist cloud I watched him vanish out of my sight. Staring at the cloud I saw a picture of the times I was in, it was a sign that from this moment my life might not be as pleasant as It had been, this was the fate i chose, the life to spend a lifetime with a Werewolf. Now I have to face my father who had already found out about the monsters which hover the city. It will be a big change in his agenda because I know my father well, he will never stop until he has hunted down every last one of them and he will go to extreme lengths to seek justice even if it means paying for it with his own life.I walked into the house gently closing the door behind me and when I had looked forward, I saw Eddie seated on a sofa chair in the sitting room. His countenance hasn't changed a bit, even his welcoming words were full of flaws."How are you doing dad?" I asked."I'm okay," He answered. I watched his eyeballs wag, the way he looked at me had changed in just a few hours and I

MARCUS P.O.VAs soon as I ended my conversation with Alicia my phone began to ring. I looked to see who was calling and popped up one of the screens was the name Eddie Lindsey. It was just like she had told me. Her father must be obsessed with the investigation and if he spots even a little flaw it will call for deep suspicion.I heaved a sharp sigh and hoping for the worst I answered the call."Hello," I heard his bass voice through the phone."Hello sir," I answered."Marcus, are you chanced because I would like us to meet up," He said."Yes I am, what is the venue?" I asked."Noble's restaurant and come alone," He said then ended the call.I smelled danger beneath his obscure tone. I knew that this was not going to go well but dishonouring his invitation was an easier way to fall into his list of his most suspected subjects.Without hesitation I went into the bathroom as I freshened up. I dressed like any normal young man, with blue jeans and red striped shirt and putting on my sho

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   My distraction

MARCUS P.O.VI moved my cell phone away from my ears as soon as she ended the call. I knew what I planned to do but it turns out that it will require help from someone I never wanted to put in danger but as far as I could tell, he was the best person for the job.I took up my cell phone as I dialled Ronald’s phone number. The phone rang for a while then he answered the call.“Hello, who is this?” he asked.“Settle down, it’s Marcus and I called because I need your help,” I answered.“Marcus… wow! How have you been?” he asked in a surprised tone.“I am okay for the time being,” I answered.“Okay, you sound like you are in trouble. What do you need my help for?” he asked.“California just figured about the existence of our kind and the father of my mate just realized that his daughter was destined to mate a werewolf and I will need you as a distraction until I and Alicia are finally united,” I answered.“What! Slow down. If I heard you right, you intend to use me as bait,”“Not exactly

MARCUS P.O.VAfter I had made my point we forged ahead to the crossroad and there we took a cab. Throughout our ride we didn’t say a word to each other until we arrived at a skyscraper. When we came out of the car I looked at Ronald whose eyes were fixed on the building with great admiration.“You never cease to amaze me Marcus, this is your first time being in California and you are already familiar with such a beauty,” he said, drifting his gaze to me. “Why choose this place? I thought we will be having our conversation in a restaurant or a bar but this looks nothing like such,”“This isn’t the time to have good meals, my life is at stake and I think you should do more listening than speaking, now follow me,” I said as I walked in through the entrance.“You know that you don’t have to act mean. Everyone is always fascinated each time they step into a new environment,” Ronald said.“I am still the only son of your Alpha, at least that is until my father finally hands the position to

MARCUS P.O.VI explained the plan to Ronald, it was a frightening burden to bear but it was just like he said; that is what friends do. The first step was to tell Alicia about the plan and next was to know how to go about it.I took a taxi with Ronald and while we were on our way to a coffee shop I phoned Alicia and told her to meet us there as soon as possible.A few minutes later me and Ronald arrived at the coffee shop as we walked in."Good day," I said to the waiter as soon as I arrived at the counter."Good day sir," She responded. "How can I help you?""I need three cups of coffee please," I said."Okay," She replied, then moved away from the counter. I looked back at Ronald as he walked In making his way towards me. Zoey asked."No, I haven't really thought about it lately," he replied."Hold on, are you…" "Don't even complete that statement," Maxwell interrupted Zoey. "I've been occupied with other things and I am sure the right time will come." The place was silent for a while. "I'm sorry, I almost forgot how hard it is when viewing the world from your eyes. It must have been dark," Zoey said."It was, but thanks to my parents who gleamed light on me," Maxwell replied. "We haven't told you yet but finding a partner for Maxwell isn't as easy as it is for you if not he would have found one by now," I said. Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. While approaching, I watched Maxwell hit Marcus severally until he returned

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BLOOD MOON; THE DAY WE FEARED

MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

MARCUS P.O.VNo one has ever done this before and I won't be doing either if the matters at hand were not delicate. Thus time Aracely won't be the one coming to me, I would be meeting her myself."Aracely!" I called as soon as I arrived at her secret grounds."Marcus," I heard her voice behind and I turned to see her standing just three feet away. "What are you doing, you should not be here." "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. If my son falls into the darkness he will destroy you and burn down this place and there will be nothing left…”“Enough! Marcus,” she interrupted me. “You have a

As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART TWO

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al

I couldn’t understand the level of pain the old lady was going through but could only imagine it. Even right now I feel sorry and indebted to her.The dark cloud had already covered the sky when Meredith escorted us out of the house. She wrapped her blanket around her body to protect her from the cold breeze and by the time we arrived at our car she looked down at Maxwell. “Thank you for showing me what you showed me earlier. It felt good to see her face again,” she said to him.“You are welcome ma’am. I know you needed it,” Maxwell replied.Hearing that got me curious but I guessed it was best that I don’t ask. I was okay as long as whatever he showed Meredith made her see things differently.“Guys, I think we have company,” Ronald alarmed us. I looked to see who he was speaking of and from the distance I saw a young man approaching with a bottle of drink in his hand.“Daniel... Ma
