MARCUS P.O.V

I moved away from the doorpost when I saw Atluri making his way out. I ensured that he didn’t see me. I waited until he was gone and afterwards I walked into the room.

I saw the feeling of frustration over Eddie's face as he moved over to the bed. He sat down then covered his face with his palms. He was so grieved that he didn’t realize my presence.

I observed him for a short while. “Eddie,” I broke the silence and he looked up to me. I expected him to channel those hatred and anger he was feeling to me but the look on his face showed otherwise.

“Marcus, how long have you been here?” he asked.

“I’ve been here for a while,” I replied.

He hissed gently. “How much did you hear?”

“A few,” I answered. “You have nothing to worry about because I didn’t let him see me.”

“How did he find out?” Eddie asked.

“Alicia said he stopped by yesterday. I knew that Atluri wouldn't come for nothing so I searched the house only to find out that someone entered my room and tampered with my stu

I started the vehicle and in a short time we were on our way to my house. While driving I explained a few things to Eddie. He was more concerned with knowing about the pack that attacked us last night since they were the ones most likely to have my child.Letting him know that Wade was my uncle brought out even deeper questions about my background so I told him everything including who my true parents were."Unbelievable, I can't believe that I have been left in the dark all these while. I noticed there was no resemblance between you and Morgan’s family yet I chose to be deceived." "I'm sorry for not letting you know sooner, this was all my fault, your daughter is innocent," I replied."You don't have to defend her like that. I know my daughter and she will do all it takes to protect someone sh

ALICIA P.O.VEleven years have passed since the birth of Maxwell and those eleven years were never pleasant. There have been constant attacks from diverse areas and despite the odds, Marcus and I have always found a way to survive.Maxwell still had a long way to go; he still needed protection from us and with the help of a few persons including Stiles and Eddie, there was a notable progress.Ever since Flynn and Rina left, we have not heard from them but at least the pack which they now rule were no longer a threat to us.Even after eleven years I still feel for Eddie who had to resign from being a cop. I see that the poor man still loved the job but for my sake gave it all up. Now he works as a farmer and his produce is fetching him income.Today was another great day which was one of Maxwell's favourite. It was a Saturday and we usually visited Eddie at the farm. Maxwell developed so much joy there because he loved the animals pretty much.“Alicia,” Marcus called to have my attenti

ALICIA'S P.O.V I watched Stiles linger. His eyes were on his meal but he didn't take a spoon of it but kept shoving his fork into it."It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. We should just eat," Marcus said."No," Stiles interrupted. "There is no need to ignore it now since I've already lost my appetite." He pressed his lips together then sighed heavily. He left his fork in his meal as he glanced up to Eddie."Before now, my father, my mother and I were happy. Everything was perfect until my mother suddenly developed feelings for someone else, she began cheating with someone else," He explained. The silence persisted for a while."I understand your pain and we are sorry for what happened, but without offense I must say that your mom cheating on your dad was not enough reason for him to frame her as a dead person," Eddie said and Stile looked up to him."It's not just any person, she was having a secret affair with my father's younger brother," Stiles said with a frown on his

MARCUS P.O.VMy mind is made up. I can’t forgive myself for what I did to Harold nor can I forgive him for sending me away from the pack. The longer it takes for him to contact me the more upset I get when I hear anything about him.I can’t forgive him because I loved him, I loved my father and my pack so much but they betrayed me. The only person I couldn’t get off my mind was my mother, but I am still mad at her because ever since I was banished I have never heard from her. This was clear proof that she never loved me in the first place, none of them did.“Marcus, I think the lions are gone,” Alicia called me out of my thought.I peeped and found it just like she had said. “Okay, come on,” I said. I snuck out from behind the hill and she followed me.We made it past the open space to the other side of the forest and at every step we took we were drifting further away from home.“Maxwell,” Alicia called aloud. Her face showed that she was stressed out as she kept looking around.“Max

I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how to face him seeing that he had just begun his first phase of transformation.I followed Marcus as we approached Stiles who was standing by the doorpost. “How is he?” I asked when Stiles was about to go inside.“He is freaking out and he won’t say anything to us,” Stiles answered.“Alicia you don’t have to be nervous, he is still our son and we know our son,” Marcus said. I nodded slightly. “He is kind,” I said.“Come, I think he will be happy to see the two of you,” Stiles said and we went inside with him.I walked inside the room with Marcus and Stiles. Maxwell was seated on the bed while Eddie was on his knees before him.I watched Eddie try to make him speak but all his attempts failed. ALICIA'S P.O.V Alicia, the child must die, you must kill him else the world will be left in ruins. That child will bring nothing more than death so he must die.My heart skipped at the flashback of the warnings. This was my fear, this was the thing I feared most but it's laying its grip on me and it's taking my son away. Those days when I received the warming, I also remembered making a promise to myself. I promised myself that if peradventure my child turns out to be evil then I will take it upon myself to put an end to him even if it will cost me my life."I will kill them all.""Maxwell, that is enough," I exclaimed in a whisper. I took hold of his arm as I turned him to face me. "Listen to me, I don't care what you saw but I know your father and he is full of love. He made mistakes and that is all in the past. He loves me and he also loves you…" "Are you sure about that?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows as if disgusted by my last statement. "We both know that dad doesn't love m

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TAKING A TRIP WITH MY SON

MARCUS P.O.VIt was five o’clock in the morning when I awoke from sleep. Everything Alicia had told me were still fresh in my memory, I still recall everything she told me about our son. I thought about it and I knew that I had to do something to ease that pain. Of course I was afraid of what would happen if I set my eyes on our boy again but no father was supposed to fear his child, no matter how dangerous he seemed.I looked sideways at Alicia, she was still fast asleep. I could tell she went to bed still feeling upset, I could tell because of the frown on her face. Staring at her I recalled the look on my mother’s face on the day I was banished from Catalina Island. Nothing hurts a mother more than seeing her husband and her child not getting along.I will never let what happened between me and Harold repeat itself in Max and me.“I will resolve this Alicia, I promise,” I said in a whisper. I brushed my hand softly on the side of her hair then moved off from the bed. I wrote a lett

MARCUS P.O.V "Dad," Maxwell called out as soon as his hands slipped from the cliff.I half shape-shifted then hopped off the edge. I reached my hand down to him as I caught his feet. I put my arm around his body and with my other hand I gripped on the rock again.I groaned at the impact of my body on the cliff. The pain was fierce but I held on still. Thanks to my sharp claws I was able to gain balance.I bore the pain a little longer and then I looked at Maxwell whose eyes were full of shock."Dad, you are bleeding," He said.I looked at my dress and I saw the blood stains all over it. I knew that it was terrible, I could feel the pain in my ribcage."Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," I replied him. "Dad I'm sorry, I should have tried harder," He wobbled as if he was engulfed with guilt."No, don't blame yourself. I should have known that you were still too young to do stuff like this," I replied instantly."What do we do now?" he said furrowing his eyebrows in fear."I need you

Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. There was a large round table at the center of the room and an elderly man was seated on one of the chairs.“Mr. Lucas, your guests have arrived,” the man who brought us in announced.Lucas’ eyes lit the moment he saw us. “Oh, please take a seat,” he said with a cheerful smile on his face and we all did. “This must be your beautiful wife Alicia Lindsey.”“Yes, she is,” I replied then furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. “How did you know?” I asked. He lifts his eyebrows. “Well, news flies these days, especially giv

ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. While approaching, I watched Maxwell hit Marcus severally until he returned

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BLOOD MOON; THE DAY WE FEARED

MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

I called as soon as I arrived at her secret grounds."Marcus," I heard her voice behind and I turned to see her standing just three feet away. "What are you doing, you should not be here." "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. If my son falls into the darkness he will destroy you and burn down this place and there will be nothing left…”“Enough! Marcus,” she interrupted me. “You have a

MARCUS P.O.V“Hi everyone, my name is Maxwell Dominick and I am only doing a reintroduction in case of those of you that might have heard of me but never seen me in person. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART TWO

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART ONE

ALICIA'S P.O.VSix years passed after we reconciled with Meredith and her son Daniel. Even after these six years Marcus had not retrieved the briefcase from Lucas. However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al

I couldn’t understand the level of pain the old lady was going through but could only imagine it. Even right now I feel sorry and indebted to her.The dark cloud had already covered the sky when Meredith escorted us out of the house. She wrapped her blanket around her body to protect her from the cold breeze and by the time we arrived at our car she looked down at Maxwell. “Thank you for showing me what you showed me earlier. It felt good to see her face again,” she said to him.“You are welcome ma’am. I know you needed it,” Maxwell replied.Hearing that got me curious but I guessed it was best that I don’t ask. I was okay as long as whatever he showed Meredith made her see things differently.“Guys, I think we have company,” Ronald alarmed us. I looked to see who he was speaking of and from the distance I saw a young man approaching with a bottle of drink in his hand.“Daniel... Ma
