ALICIA’S P.O.V

“Maxwell is awake and he wants to see you,” Stiles said.

I felt heat on my palm as soon as I heard the report. I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how to face him seeing that he had just begun his first phase of transformation.

I followed Marcus as we approached Stiles who was standing by the doorpost. “How is he?” I asked when Stiles was about to go inside.

“He is freaking out and he won’t say anything to us,” Stiles answered.

“Alicia you don’t have to be nervous, he is still our son and we know our son,” Marcus said.

I nodded slightly. “He is kind,” I said.

“Come, I think he will be happy to see the two of you,” Stiles said and we went inside with him.

I walked inside the room with Marcus and Stiles. Maxwell was seated on the bed while Eddie was on his knees before him.

I watched Eddie try to make him speak but all his attempts failed. Maxwell won’t utter a word.

“Max, your parents are here,” Stiles said but still he didn’t quiver. Marcus moved away from my side as h

ALICIA'S P.O.V Alicia, the child must die, you must kill him else the world will be left in ruins. That child will bring nothing more than death so he must die.My heart skipped at the flashback of the warnings. This was my fear, this was the thing I feared most but it's laying its grip on me and it's taking my son away. Those days when I received the warming, I also remembered making a promise to myself. I promised myself that if peradventure my child turns out to be evil then I will take it upon myself to put an end to him even if it will cost me my life."I will kill them all.""Maxwell, that is enough," I exclaimed in a whisper. I took hold of his arm as I turned him to face me. "Listen to me, I don't care what you saw but I know your father and he is full of love. He made mistakes and that is all in the past. He loves me and he also loves you…" "Are you sure about that?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows as if disgusted by my last statement. "We both know that dad doesn't love m

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TAKING A TRIP WITH MY SON

MARCUS P.O.VIt was five o’clock in the morning when I awoke from sleep. Everything Alicia had told me were still fresh in my memory, I still recall everything she told me about our son. I thought about it and I knew that I had to do something to ease that pain. Of course I was afraid of what would happen if I set my eyes on our boy again but no father was supposed to fear his child, no matter how dangerous he seemed.I looked sideways at Alicia, she was still fast asleep. I could tell she went to bed still feeling upset, I could tell because of the frown on her face. Staring at her I recalled the look on my mother’s face on the day I was banished from Catalina Island. Nothing hurts a mother more than seeing her husband and her child not getting along.I will never let what happened between me and Harold repeat itself in Max and me.“I will resolve this Alicia, I promise,” I said in a whisper. I brushed my hand softly on the side of her hair then moved off from the bed. I wrote a lett

MARCUS P.O.V "Dad," Maxwell called out as soon as his hands slipped from the cliff.I half shape-shifted then hopped off the edge. I reached my hand down to him as I caught his feet. I put my arm around his body and with my other hand I gripped on the rock again.I groaned at the impact of my body on the cliff. The pain was fierce but I held on still. Thanks to my sharp claws I was able to gain balance.I bore the pain a little longer and then I looked at Maxwell whose eyes were full of shock."Dad, you are bleeding," He said.I looked at my dress and I saw the blood stains all over it. I knew that it was terrible, I could feel the pain in my ribcage."Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," I replied him. "Dad I'm sorry, I should have tried harder," He wobbled as if he was engulfed with guilt."No, don't blame yourself. I should have known that you were still too young to do stuff like this," I replied instantly."What do we do now?" he said furrowing his eyebrows in fear."I need you

I looked around listening to know where the sound was coming from."Dad," the voice came up again and I looked towards the direction the turbulent waters were flowing and spotted him wallowing in the waters while fighting to survive. The waves were sweeping him faster and further away from me. Seeing that, I let go of the rock then went after him. I swam as fast as I could, fighting the waves from taking me further away from him. He kept calling out to me until I finally caught up with him.I took hold of his hand as I pulled him closer. "Don't fight it," I said."What," He yelled, our heads went in and after a while it came out of the waters."Don't fight the waves, just flow with it," I repeated. "I am going to let go of your hand right now." "What, no. Dad no," He said earnestly and our heads went into the waters again.I pulled my head out and there were those pi

MARCUS P.O.V Maxwell stared at me for a while. His eyes kept quivering in fear but I didn’t make a move. I had to test how strong his instinct was.Seeing I wasn't moving he squinted his eyes and still shaky he picked up a rock and a wood from the tide. He threw the rock at me but I didn’t quiver.I kept watching him and after a while he furrowed his eyebrows. "Dad," He said. He frowned then stood up on his feet as he approached me still holding the wood out to defend himself.Seeing still held my position he put the wood down then reached his hand to my hairy fur. He brushed gently then looked Into my eyes.Watching his reaction I recalled the last time I saw this and it was exactly the way Alicia related when she first saw me as a werewolf. Maxwell doesn’t only look like her but he also acts like her."Dad," He said as if he was still confused and just then I ran off heading into the woods. I shape-shifted into a werewolf then walked back out of the woods.I approached him as he h

MARCUS P.O.V At my slight diversion the first lioness launched an attack. I swung my palm and the impact threw it towards another end.I grumbled and with aggression I played the offensive. I caught one of them and squashed the lioness under my large paws as I ripped off her gut. They all pounced on me with fierce bight. I groaned aloud in pain, throwing my hand back and forth until finally I caught one of them.I fastened my claws into the lioness' back and when she lost hold of my skin I pulled her down to the floor with a fatal punch. The battle went on and on as our roar and groaning echoed in the forest under the night sky. I persevered enduring the pain until one after another I took them all down, ripping their gut out and breaking their neck.Breaking the neck of the last one of them I looked around to ensure we were safe. When I could no longer sense danger I turned back to the tree to see Maxwell coming down. Some minutes later we arrived at our tent on the shore with the a

MARCUS P.O.VI recognized the four men which compassed me, they were no mortal. They were werewolves and not just any werewolf but werewolves from my father’s pack.I frowned as soon as I set my eyes on them. I recognized them, all four of them were trained by Gaius the werewolf who trained me and also well known as the strongest among the Gamma werewolves.I knew how strong these four are, we were the first sect of werewolves Gaius trained alongside with Ronald and Wilfred but it turned out to be that Ronald and Wilfred loved and were more loyal to me than these four.“Have Harold sent you to complete the work that he didn’t finish on the day he banished me away from the pack?” I said but at alert in case they decide to attack.“Marcus, we are not here to negotiate or talk trash, we are here to do business and we are not going to return to the Alpha without your head in a charger,” one of the four said.“Yes, I know you well, we were all trained together so I know how deadly you can

My father was killed while trying to protect me from them,” Maxwell said.‘Shit, why did you mention my name?’ I thought to myself restlessly while watching him. I could still hear the paws of the werewolves approaching. There was no more time left. I was about to intervene when I saw Maxwell reach my phone out to the cabdriver.“This is the proof that I was here with my father,” Max said and the cabdriver received the phone from him. “Sir, I don’t have time, the people who attacked my father will still be after me, just take me out of here. I will call my mom and she will pick me up. We don’t have much time to waste sir, please.”‘Brilliant, son… brilliant,’ I thought to myself. ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

"I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

ALICIA'S P.O.VSix years passed after we reconciled with Meredith and her son Daniel. Even after these six years Marcus had not retrieved the briefcase from Lucas. However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al

Even right now I feel sorry and indebted to her.The dark cloud had already covered the sky when Meredith escorted us out of the house. She wrapped her blanket around her body to protect her from the cold breeze and by the time we arrived at our car she looked down at Maxwell. “Thank you for showing me what you showed me earlier. It felt good to see her face again,” she said to him.“You are welcome ma’am. I know you needed it,” Maxwell replied.Hearing that got me curious but I guessed it was best that I don’t ask. I was okay as long as whatever he showed Meredith made her see things differently.“Guys, I think we have company,” Ronald alarmed us. I looked to see who he was speaking of and from the distance I saw a young man approaching with a bottle of drink in his hand.“Daniel... Ma
