ALICIA P.O.V

Some minutes later, I walked out of the temple with Marcus. We sat on a long bench outside the compound. The celebration was still going on inside the building and Helen was also with our child.

“So… what did you want to talk to me about?” I asked.

“I have something to tell you but firstly I need to apologize,” he said.

“You have nothing to apologize for Marcus; I have already forgiven you…”

“No, it’s not about what I did to Kelvin nor is it about calling Katherine a witch,” he interrupted me. “I want to apologize for calling our son a beast. I didn’t know how much that hurt you and I should not have said something like that considering your position at that time.”

“I understand, you were scared that it would cost me my life,” I said to prevent him from continually blaming himself but he would not stop.

“I am sorry for leaving you to do this alone…” he continued. Knowing no other way to stop him, I held his hand watching his eyes with understanding.

I was not ready to face my father after how badly he treated me.I am determined to raise my child without Harold's help but deep down I was also worried if he was wrong or if it was just my pride getting in my way.I could lie to everyone else, I could say that I wasn’t worried about my parents or my pack but I was wrong. I was worried about them, and in fact, those thoughts haunt me in my sleep every night. I couldn’t help but wonder what Luther had been up to during my absence. Has he gotten enough nerves to stand up against Harold, was Gaius still able to protect Harold and Lisa from that lunatic? Those were the things which troubled me but In the end even though I wanted to help, my hands were still tied because Harold would never want to set his eyes

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   FAMILIAR GUEST

MARCUS P.O.VIt was sunset in the evening and we had a few guests. They were familiar faces and thankfully everyone was aware that I was a werewolf.I knew it would please Alicia so I invited Katherine and Kelvin over but unfortunately Katherine was the only one who showed up. She said Kelvin couldn't make it because he was engaged.I knew it was more than an engagement. I knew he was upset that even despite his attempts to tear us apart we still ended up together. The few people that were present were Stiles, Katherine and Tyler. We were all seated together at the dining table while Emily served the dishes. While having fun we heard the sound of the doorbell."Are we expecting any other visitors?" Alicia asked."Let me check, perhaps it could be Kelvin," Katherine said. Getting on her feet she left for the door. I heard a male voice which sounded familiar and unfortunately when I looked I saw that it was Flynn and Rina.I knew that I had invited them but I didn't know they would make

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   PUT TO TEST

MARCUS P.O.V This wasn’t good, I knew that Stiles knew about my kind but I was not sure if he knew as much as I thought he knew. The sudden burst of smile over Alicia’s face showed that she was enjoying it.If Stiles doesn't meet Flynn's standards he could feel unqualified to accept my proposal to stand by me as a part of my pack."First question," Flynn mused, staring at Stiles like he was searching for something he couldn't figure out. "How does mating start in werewolves?" "It starts when the werewolf finds and imprints on another werewolf," Stiles answered promptly."Nailed it!" Rina exclaimed and we all laughed."That was simple but I assure you that you won't like the second one.""Let's hear it," Stiles said."Okay. We both know that vampires and werewolves are dreadful enemies but I'd like to know how vampires and werewolves can interbreed?" "There is no mystery to it because you just gave the answer. Despite their differences they can both relate with each other. A hybrid

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   FIRST TRANSFORMATION

ALICIA'S P.O.V Throughout the ride I kept thinking about what it will feel like when the moon rises. Before now it all seemed like superhuman beings were a fantasy but at this moment I will not be witnessing one turn but I will be the one feeling those hurting twirls.I could feel the cool evening breeze creep on my skin while staring out through the open car window. The night sky was filled with countless stars. It was a perfect day after all.I am scared but at least it's better that this time I won't be dealing with death. It could be that shape-shifting has a more painful process but if that is what could guarantee the safety of my child then going through those hurting flames would not be as bad as I think.Lost in my thoughts I felt Marcus's warm palm around mine. I turned to meet his stare."Are you nervous?" "No, I'm frightened," I replied."I know, but It will pass," He said."I don't feel like I am strong enough to handle the pain," I said to him and he patted my hands ge

ALICIA P.O.V“Alicia, you have to calm down, it’s me, it’s Marcus,” he said demonstrating with his hands but to me none of that mattered. I knew that I wasn’t thinking straight but I couldn’t control the urge either. It was so strong, that great desire to rip a flesh apart was greater than my sense of reasoning at this point. For a while, I couldn’t grasp anything he was saying, all I could see was the movement of his lips but they were all idle to me.Staring at him, my nose picked up another strong scent close by. The urge became stronger and with a sharp grumble I ran after the scent. I knew that it was the scent of a human and even though this time it wasn’t Rina, the urge to kill didn’t fade.I heard rumblings behind me but I didn’t flicker. I kept my paws moving until I arrived at a cliff and just some meters away I spotted two couples and their little girl seated on the grass outside a tent.I didn't know much about them except that they looked as if they came camping but it sti

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   PARTING WITH A FRIEND

MARCUS P.O.V I am willing to bear the responsibility for what I did some years ago. It didn’t seem pleasant and it could steer up another complication but this was the right time to do it and with Alicia by my side, I am sure that everything was going to be fine. However that was not what concerned me the most. Something weird happened when I howled last night, something that I didn’t know how to tell Alicia. "Alicia, I have something to show you?" I said."What's that?" she asked."I can't explain it but you have to see it for yourself. Come with me," I said. I led her to a spare room inside our house. We walked inside as I approached Kelvin who was lying unconscious on the bed."Marcus… What is Kelvin doing here and why is he looking like that?" She asked.I heaved a sharp sigh then turned to her. "Remember when I told you that the howl of an Alpha attracts his pack?""Yes, I do," She answered."It turned out that when I howled last night it attracted Kelvin." "What do you mean?"

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   RIVAL IN MY PACK

MARCUS P.O.VThe silence persisted for a while. I could tell that Stiles departure was something Alicia and I never wanted but I knew that it was for the best. "What's the reason for the silence? We didn't lose anyone and I could always come visiting," Stiles said. "I know," Alicia answered, taking up her fork again. "It's a pity because I was only getting to know you better," She said."Marcus, knows me well," He said. "While you were trying to have your child, we were busy committing some hurtful crimes." "That's right, he was a good sidekick," I said and Immediately after my comment we heard a knock on the door. At the sudden sound on the door, the place went ice cold and we all stopped eating."Are we expecting a visitor?" Alicia asked me."No, we are not," I answered and looking at their faces none of them had invited anyone either. "I'll go check it out," I said, dropping my fork on the table as I left for the door.I looked through the CCTV camera but there was no one there.

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   INSECURITY

MARCUS P.O.V Now we had another enemy on our trail. It was even terrible because he was not an outsider but it was a memento member of my pack, and someone we considered family."I'm sorry for that. My brother can be anything but I don't think he is capable of taking the life of anyone," Katherine apologized on behalf of Kalvin."That is no longer the brother you know," I said to Katherine as she gave me an uncertain look. "He has killed someone and he meant what he said." "That can't be true," Katherine replied instantly. "I saw his eyes, Katherine. They were blue instead of gold. The funny thing about werewolves is that you can tell if this had killed someone before or not. The eyes of the innocent ones are always gold but when they take a life their eyes turn blue," I said."No, that can't be true," Katherine said, shaking her head in disbelief. I could smell fear engulf her. I knew that she was afraid of starting a war with her own brother."No one is blaming your brother for w

We have already fixed a date to come visit you in person," She said."That's great news," I said."What about you, Maxwell? Do you have any charming Princess you would like to tell us about?" Zoey asked."No, I haven't really thought about it lately," he replied."Hold on, are you…" "Don't even complete that statement," Maxwell interrupted Zoey. "I've been occupied with other things and I am sure the right time will come." The place was silent for a while. "I'm sorry, I almost forgot how hard it is when viewing the world from your eyes. It must have been dark," Zoey said."It was, but thanks to my parents who gleamed light on me," Maxwell replied. "We haven't told you yet but finding a partner for Maxwell isn't as easy as it is for you if not he would have found one by now," I said. "For humans they get to choose who they want to be with but for werewolves, there can be o

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   INHERITANCE

MARCUS P.O.VIt took us thirty minutes to arrive at the main city and as soon as we arrived at the hotel someone was already waiting for us by the door.“You must be Marcus Dominick,” the man said.“Yes I am,” I replied.“Mr. Lucas, is inside, he has been waiting for you, please come with me,” the man said and I followed him inside. Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. There was a large round table at the center of the room and an elderly man was seated on one of the chairs.“Mr. Lucas, your guests have arrived,” the man who brought us in announced.Lucas’ eyes lit the moment he saw us. “Oh, please take a seat,” he said with a cheerful smile on his face and we all did. “This must be your beautiful wife Alicia Lindsey.”“Yes, she is,” I replied then furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. “How did you know?” I asked. He lifts his eyebrows. “Well, news flies these days, especially giv

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BLOOD MOON; THE LAST TRY

ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. While approaching, I watched Maxwell hit Marcus severally until he returned

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BLOOD MOON; THE DAY WE FEARED

MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   EXTREME PREPARATION

MARCUS P.O.VNo one has ever done this before and I won't be doing either if the matters at hand were not delicate. Thus time Aracely won't be the one coming to me, I would be meeting her myself."Aracely!" I called as soon as I arrived at her secret grounds."Marcus," I heard her voice behind and I turned to see her standing just three feet away. "What are you doing, you should not be here." "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. If my son falls into the darkness he will destroy you and burn down this place and there will be nothing left…”“Enough! Marcus,” she interrupted me. “You have a

MARCUS P.O.V“Hi everyone, my name is Maxwell Dominick and I am only doing a reintroduction in case of those of you that might have heard of me but never seen me in person. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART TWO

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART ONE

ALICIA'S P.O.VSix years passed after we reconciled with Meredith and her son Daniel. Even after these six years Marcus had not retrieved the briefcase from Lucas. However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al

I couldn’t understand the level of pain the old lady was going through but could only imagine it. Even right now I feel sorry and indebted to her.The dark cloud had already covered the sky when Meredith escorted us out of the house. She wrapped her blanket around her body to protect her from the cold breeze and by the time we arrived at our car she looked down at Maxwell. “Thank you for showing me what you showed me earlier. It felt good to see her face again,” she said to him.“You are welcome ma’am. I know you needed it,” Maxwell replied.Hearing that got me curious but I guessed it was best that I don’t ask. I was okay as long as whatever he showed Meredith made her see things differently.“Guys, I think we have company,” Ronald alarmed us. I looked to see who he was speaking of and from the distance I saw a young man approaching with a bottle of drink in his hand.“Daniel... Ma
