It was hard to survive without my Father, Harold and the rest of my pack members. I also knew that becoming a true Alpha wasn't enough to ensure the safety of my child but I was not ready to return to Catalina Island. I was not ready to face my father after how badly he treated me.

I am determined to raise my child without Harold's help but deep down I was also worried if he was wrong or if it was just my pride getting in my way.

I could lie to everyone else, I could say that I wasn’t worried about my parents or my pack but I was wrong. I was worried about them, and in fact, those thoughts haunt me in my sleep every night.

I couldn’t help but wonder what Luther had been up to during my absence. Has he gotten enough nerves to stand up against Harold, was Gaius still able to protect Harold and Lisa from that lunatic?
