Lucian POV

I had spent an entire day going about the pack's business, trying to put things together, plan and make sure everything is set.

At intervals, my mind constantly goes to Calla, I could only wonder how she is doing and long for her but I was too busy to even have breakfast with her.

Not that I had purposely planned to do so, I was just too busy. I called Marcus and told him to take over from me, that he should handle the rest. If anything serious comes up, he should still take care of it.

I was going to meet Calla in her room.

I walked up the stairs towards Calla's room, feeling a sense of unease settle in my stomach. I knocked on the door and called out her name, but there was no response. I tried again, knocking a little louder this time, but still no answer. I wondered if she was still upset with me about something.
