Chapter Twenty-Six

I'm still confused by my encounter with the Alpha.

This is the last thing I was expecting. Him showing sympathy to me is so strange that I catch myself wondering if this is a part of some plan of his. Just the other day, he didn't want to look at my face. Now, he's apologizing. Apologizing.

I pace my bedroom floor. It's late at night and Denise won't be here until morning. I need to share this with her. I have to know what she thinks about this.
