Chapter 23Demeter PVOI’m happy for my sibling’s finding their mates, but it does make me feel slightly envious. I would love to find my mate, that one person who was meant just for you, made with you in mind. To not only be your lover, but your confidant, your best friend, the other half of your soul, the person who will complete you. I can’t help but sigh before taking a deep breath and plastering a blank expression on my face before entering Arwens room. Instead of my brothers, I hope to catch them off guard. Walking to the door that leads into the communal area, I quietly open the door just a crack before using my heightened hearing to listen into the females on the other side of the door.“I still can’t believe the king would request, that little whore to his room!”“I know there is nothing special about the girl”“The king must be just using her and keeping the female he actually wants pure and untouched until the mating ceremony.”“That’s a very good point, all these females
Chapter 1 - Stupid duty It was far too nice of an evening to have to be doing this, but there she was standing in front of the mirror, preparing herself for a ritual that could change her life forever. Dragging a brush through her long sleek brown hair, tutting as it tangles at the end. She Pulls a little harder out of frustration. "stupid hair, stupid brush, stupid duty". Taking a deep breath as that last word passed her lips, she knew this day was coming. She had known for as long as she could remember and yet she dreaded it, the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach made her feel ill, but she pushed the sensation aside as she forced the old-fashioned paddle hairbrush from root to tip one last time. Having heard a lot about the King of their race, and how he used females like her for sport, before discarding them like no more than a bug on his windscreen, it disgusted her. Yet here she was waiting in her bedroom to be dressed by her chambermaid, for his pleasure. She felt li
Chapter 2 - lambs to the slaughter Haytham, yawned as he wiped the fresh rogue blood from his blade, his weapon of choice had always been a sabre, or his wolf's sharp teeth, both with long curved razor-sharp edges. which made each kill more pleasurable. Looking over the limp body now laying by his feet in disgust, Haytham quickly kneeled on one knee checking the pockets of the dead male, his hands making quick work of the job at hand. He had been following his enemy for some time, stalking him through the dense woodland he now found himself in. Placing the wallet he'd found on his enemy's lifeless body into the pockets of his long leather jacket, Haytham took the dead male's iPhone, showing it to the corpse's face to open the phone with face ID, before adding his face and number code to the phone. Standing up to his full height he placed the phone in his pocket with the wallet. His body's height and the girth of his shoulders would have made even the biggest of humans look like a st
Chapter Three - And so it beginsAs the king left his underground chambers he made his way up to the throne room, his last nerve tested as his staff made themselves busy around him. Maids hoovering and polishing about the many rooms and halls, his butler following in his wake giving an update of tonight newest arrivals. It was all unnecessary to him, he had never had any intention of marrying and yet due to an arrangement his father had made many years before he was even conceived.Tonight would be the night he met his future bride. Well doesn't that just make your balls strival back up inside your body...oh and good old poppa didn't just pick out one bride, nope the old man had seen to it that he would wed and bed over twelve females this week, all to keep this so-called pure bloodline going and fulfilling some nonces prophecy that he did not fully understand. Looking up at the ceiling of the corridor he was walking down and rolling his eyes he imagined he was looking up at the heav
Chapter Four - Let this be the lastArwen checked herself over in the floor-length mirror, the dress her mother and father had made for her for this evening was beautiful, the satin fell beautifully against the curves of her body, looking at a waterfall of forest green pooling on the floor around her feet, she couldn't help but raise a small smile while stearing at her reflextion. Turning slowly in the mirror she watched the fabric glisten as the light of her chambers chandelier reflected of the fabric. She was a present waiting to be unwrapped. With Clara at her side, she made her way out of the only home she had ever known, to find her Mother and Father waiting for her next to a large black car sent for them by the king. Giving Clara as big a hug as she could muster she said her goodbyes before meeting her mothers and fathers disproving stare. Her mother quickly covered her expression before opening the car door and taking a piece of black fabric from of the seat, walking towards h
Chapter 5 - Behind the door Arwen saw only the males feet as he walked around her, her small frame shaking with sadness at the acts of her mother and father. The male took one lap around her before she saw him come back in front of her then turn away. She should have been pleased the male hadn't spoken to her, after all, what would she say to this stranger? but she wasn't happy, sad or even indifferent to his actions. No, she was angry, so angry that her body began to shake even more, she was angry with the life. She had been given the life that now belonged to this male, she was angry that for a lifetime she had lived in silence and now here she was again in silence, her hands began to tighten turning into fists, her knuckles going white. She had never felt this way before and it shocked her to her core. She had always known this day was coming and she had accepted her fate long ago but now as she stood there with this stranger looming over her anger bubbled up from the pit of her

She however spent her time exploring every nook and krany of the commuial space they had been given to spend their time. She had found nothing new however, she wasn't sure what she had expected to find, but to know there had been no way out if ever she wanted to explore a little more would have been nice.
