Chapter 44 - An accident.

It was a strange thing to know what was coming, but not know what was happening with Daniel’s pack. We were waiting for them to attack because I remember it happening the same way in my previous life, but it didn’t mean they were actually going to attack.

The worst part was the waiting. It was infuriating!

I paced back and forth in my office until I received word that Alex’s plane had landed. I couldn’t do a thing until I knew for sure he was there. I knew my father would be with him. He wouldn’t be able to resist taking a look at the woman I was destined to love.

As soon as the message came through, I grabbed my phone and called the sheriff from Ava’s town. We had a good relationship because we had to deal with each other once or twice over the years. He didn’t ask too many questions and I told him some of the truth.
