Chapter 83.

Laura's POV.

"Laura?" A gentle voice called and I woke up with a start.

"Are you alright?" The voice asked and I looked up to see my mother.

"Yeah. What happened and what are you doing here?" I asked with a yawn, my brain's still foggy and I'm unable to comprehend my environment yet.

"I brought you soup but you were asleep, you were smiling at first but suddenly you let out some muffled words of pain so I decided to wake you up. Are you alright?" My mother asked and I smiled, sitting upright and trying to calm my racing heart.

"Thanks mom, it was just a dream." I replied, taking the soul from her. It smells so good that my stomach grumbled in anticipation of the hot soup. If not that it was hot, I'd have taken it in a few gulps.

"Are you sure you still wanna stay up and wait for him? It's almost ten in the evening." She asked and I smiled. I don't care how long he takes. As long as he'd told me he's coming today, I'm definitely waiting for him. I've missed him and I'm
