Making Up My Mind

Prince Leonard looked taken by surprise by my abrupt declaration. Even I was a little surprised by how unshaken my resolve was. It might have been better for me to think about it logically and take my time pondering this important decision; however, I felt like if I wasted so much time thinking about it, my cowardice would take over and I would end up running away from doing what I really wanted to do. The risks were frightening, and I believed the doctor wasn’t lying about them to freak me out, but my desire surely won over all my sense of fear.

Don’t they like to say that that there’s no pain if there’s no gain?
