Confrontations

Although I should have known that already, hearing it from Prince Darius made my chest tighten painfully. I knew that I shouldn’t think about the past, but I couldn’t help but wonder what she was like and where she was now. Of course, I kept these silent thoughts and questions to myself without voicing them.

“If you face any problems or if you just need someone to talk to, you can always reach out to me. I’ll listen to you, and I’ll always help you, Mila,” Prince Darius promised as his grey eyes kept on staring at me from across the table.

“Thank you very much. I will keep that in mind,” I replied politely.

It seemed like all he wanted to do was help and that was probably because he wanted things to work out for his younger brother. On top of that, he probably wanted to increase the chance that Prince Leonard and I will produce an ultimate alpha heir.
