CHAPTER 53

I got lost in thought as I just stared at mark, completely zoning out everything Amaris was saying. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was starting to doubt if I had seen right.

But the only thing I could be sure that I had seen right was the birthmark just at the same place Amaris had her own. And the voice, it was all coming back to me. It was her...Amaris.

I was too shocked to speak. Too afraid because of a person I had completely trusted. Never for one day thought or imagined that... Why would she do that?

Was she threatened or? I stared blankly at her face as she continued to speak.

"Nevaeh? Are you sure you're okay? You look lost. Did the multiple hits to your head fuck it up" she chuckled but it wasn't funny. Not even if I didn't know this she had something to do with it.

"I'm sorry. That came out wrong. I really need to work on my tongue so I don't sound insensitive all the time"

Amaris was crazy but her lies didn’t help her. She needs to stop lies. Not saying she has tell them everything but don’t lie about just say I don’t want talk about it.
