Chapter Two

"Make your decision on this alpha, if you chose Kiara, then you know what happens to the pack. You'll lose the trust of your people, and most importantly, you'll lose the respect of the elders."

"Did you find Kiara yesterday?" Aiden ignored Cass' statement and questioned him. He was still utterly confused on what to do. Why was Scarlett his mate and not Kiara? His wolf had called out to Scarlett's wolf as his mate so It had to be the choice of the moon goddess and maybe that was it. If it was the choice of the moon goddess, then there was nothing he could do about it other than to abandon Kiara.

There was a knock on the door and shortly afterwards, it opened. Blake, the pack's gamma stepped into the room, "Alpha, you have a guest." He announced with an unhappy look on his face. The moment Aiden heard this, he rose to his feet in a hurry without even bothering to ask who it was and began to head outside expecting to see Kiara waiting for him.

Unfortunately, it was Scarlett standing at the entrance of the mansion waiting for him excitedly. Aiden halted at the lower stairs with a disappointed look on his face. He knew who Scarlett was and that was even the more reason he was still so surprised.

"Alpha." Scarlett called as Aiden was about to walk away, and immediately lowered her head to greet him. The very moment she called his name, Aiden replied, "Come in."

The surprised look on Cass's face nearly made him question the Alpha king, but he didn't. He only stood back and watched as Scarlett came up, and began to walk with Aiden into the mansion. Why the hell was Aiden letting her in? Was he no longer waiting for Kiara or was he no longer expecting her?"

Cass stood with mouth agape as he watched Scarlett sway her hips trailing behind Alpha king Aiden. Was Aiden really mad? What the hell was happening and why the hell was the man who hated Scarlett down to his bones asking her to come in. Cass didn't move an inch anymore. In fact, he had been told to stand there earlier. He continued to watch them until they were out of his sight, and once they were gone, his clenched his hands into fist and turned around at the spot he was standing.

"Cass, good day!" Kiara greeted when she got to the mansion. Along the way, she felt something really strange, but discarded that feeling immediately because the most important thing at the moment was to speak to Aiden about the mate bond.

Kiara had always thought her and her boyfriend would end up becoming mates, but instead, she was gifted with the worse shock of her life which had already shattered her hopes completely. Aiden's choice or decision was her last spade of hope and maybe Kiara wasn't just ready to throw that away.

Cass nodded his head as he stared at Kiara. It was just too bad because she had no idea Scarlett was in there with Alpha king Aiden. It had been almost an hour already.

"Hey," Cass responded, staring at Kiara with so much pity in his eyes. He just had a bad feeling about all of this. With a smile, Kiara began to walk into the mansion. The living room was empty and since she knew Aiden too well, it was either he would be in his chambers or the special room where they always spent sweet time together, and he had decorated just because of her. Kiara waved the thoughts of the past memories and decided to head first for his chambers

As she was approaching the door to his chambers, Kiara began to hear strange noises coming from Aiden's chambers. The first sound was familiar and it belonged to her step sister, Scarlett. The second was like that of a breathless moan which Kiara was certain belonged to Aiden. Her heart twisted, and the closer she got, the louder the sounds of the moan coming from the room became. Deep down, she hoped it wouldn't be whatever she was expecting or even thinking because Aiden was certainly not that kind of a man. He would never cheat on her with Scarlett of all people.

Kiara slowly held the door knob to the room, and when she opened the door just enough for her to see through, her eyes fell on them. Aiden was on top, thrusting her step sister while Scarlett sunk her nails into the back of his flesh, moaning and calling his name in unison. Tears were slowly beginning to form itself, but Kiara had to hold it back in. This was a bad dream, a dream she had to wake up from immediately.

"Fuck!! Harder Alpha! Yes, I like it right there."

The pleasurable sounds of Scarlett made the tears that brimmed Kiara's eyes fall freely down her cheeks, and then it made Kiara realize this was reality. Scarlett never really liked her anyways, and ever since Kiara's dad, beta Henry adopted Scarlett, Kiara became a total stranger to everyone including her father, but Aiden, Aiden was the only man who showed her what love was.

Aiden's voice came next as he dug his hand into the sheet to aid himself ride faster and faster inside of her. He moaned aloud nearly close to cumming, "Here! Right here? You fucking like it here?"

As Kiara stared at them, she didn't really think Aiden would say such words. Wasn't he ashamed of himself? It only took one mating ceremony for him to betray her and fall right into the clutches of her step sister by fucking her. As Kiara stepped in, it didn't disturb whatever they were doing because it felt like her presence wasn't recognized.

"A.... Aiden." Those words were so hard, but they fell out of Kiara's mouth. The very moment Kiara said this word, the two splitted from each other, panting so hard and fast. Kiara could see Scarlett's glare. She shot her a mocking look which meant that Alpha king Aiden was hers already and had lost this one.

"Kiara..." Aiden called as he rose to his feet naked without realizing it. It hurt her so very much to see this? Bravely, Kiara sniffled, "She had come her to find out his thoughts and decision after the mating ceremony, but she didn't need an answer anymore."

"Not to worry, Aiden, I already got the answer to what I needed to know."

Scarlett cleared her throat aloud, disrupting Kiara from speaking further, "Point of correction, Kiara, it's Alpha king Aiden from now on. He's my mate and you would show him every bit of respect that you ought to since you're now nothing but a mere lowly commoner to him."

Kiara spared her a deathly glare in return, and without thinking twice, she hurried towards the bed and pulled Scarlett by the hair, yelling in anger, "You fucking bitch, how dare you! How dare you steal my boyfriend! How dare you!!"

Kiara was immediately pushed to the ground with a strong level of force, making her groan in pain as she fell. Scarlett was much more powerful than her and the only thing she could do was stare at both of them with so much disgust.

"I'm sorry Kiara, but Scarlett is my mate. She's going to be my Luna after the claiming ceremony. It's best if we go our separate ways, and as Luna and your queen, you would listen to every rules and instructions she gives you."

Once again, Kiara averted her gaze at Scarlett. Her heart was being pierced so badly by Aiden's words. He rejected her without remorse in his eyes, and it hurt even more because he had to make a fool out of her right in front of Scarlett. She watched Scarlett giggle, while holding Aiden's hand,

"You should leave, Kiara. Everything we ever had, or shared ends today. To me, you're nothing but a mere commoner." Aiden spat out loud causing her heart to shatter even more.

"My first order as your queen, you'll serve me at the palace from now on until I'm ready to do away with you."

There was silence in the room for a few moments, and afterwards, Kiara went on her knees. She knew the gravity of defiling Scarlett's order, so there was nothing she could do. Right now, she was powerless.

She sniffled, tears rolling down from her eyes and touching the ground, "Yes, my queen." That was the only reply Kiara could give weakly because there was no need fighting back since Scarlett had won.
