Chapter Four

6 YEARS LATER;

"Lisa, are you really certain about this? I don't think I wanna go in there, no... Don't leave..." Kiara yelled, but it was already too late. Her best friend had already pushed her in, and when she raised her head, there were so many faces staring at her. How many people had turned up just to hear her speak about herself, and see her in person. Thousands of people! Kiara thought because the sight right before her was unbelievable. She had expected hundreds, but got thousands.

She had worked so hard, even harder whenever she thought of the past, and finally she was here. "MS Karla, please, this way." That was her new name 6 years ago, Karla. After what Kiara had gone through 6 years ago trying so hard to survive on her own, she decided to change her name to Karla so no one in her past would be able to ever trace her and her babies. She cocked her head towards the man who had just called her name and nodded her head.

Babies because they were 3, and she had found this out about 4 months into the pregnancy

"Alright."

When Kiara got to the stage, she took a deep breath, telling herself that she had done a great job for six good years. She had worked so hard even to the level where she bled due to overworking herself especially when she had to do multiple jobs just to see herself through medical school, and right now, she was a successful doctor, one of the best in the country.

Kiara started.

"Thank you all so much for being present at this special event. Words would never be able to express how grateful I am for having such an amount of loyal people, and such an amount of people who trust in me. As you all know, my job is devoted to saving lives and giving my best to all my patients out there. I must say, it wasn't so easy... " There was a pause in Kiara's speech, but then she continued after a few moments,

"But I conquered. I fought so hard without giving up and conquering in the past. It wasn't easy, believe me, it was the hardest thing in the world and even the hardest decision that I had ever made, especially because I had to raise 3 little angels all on my own. Multiple times I felt like giving up, I felt like it was that world against me alone, but the day I got to see my babies in my arms, I was reborn and let me tell you, I felt alive again. I knew I had to work harder, double, triple, even more, and I did. I did, and in the end, I won." Tears rolled down Kiara's eyes as she spoke. It had never happened in a long time, but today, all Kiara saw as she spoke was her past, and how she had almost given up on life 6 years ago after she was banished from the Blood Moon Pack. The scars in her heart were still buried deeper than she had thought, and it was so hard telling herself that she had forgotten and forgiven them all, especially Alpha king Aiden.

Kiara swallowed her saliva down her throat and continued, "So to all single mothers and ladies out there, never give up. Fight! Fight! Fight harder if you have to! Fight because there's always a reason to, fight until you achieve your dreams and fight till your last breath." That was it. She was done speaking. There were questions Kiara didn't want to answer at all, especially questions about her past relationships. Kiara lowered her head and said, "Thank you.", And the next minute, the crowd rose to their feet with a wild roar of applause on the air. She lowered her head to greet them, and stepped down from the stage.

"Oh my goodness! I'm fucking so proud of you Kiara. That was so awesome!No, that was strikingly insane!" Lisa yelled, and it made Kiara chuckle a bit as she rubbed her eyes to get rid of the tears brimming them. She let out a deep breath, "Thanks Lisa, where are the kids?"

"They're all waiting for you in the car, but Mr Daniel called earlier saying to come see him before 12pm."

Kiara rolled her eyes first, and so did Lisa. "I hate it most when he orders you around, Kiara. I told you this before, why not open your own clinic? I bet so many people are gonna flood in once you do."

"I certainly do not have such a huge amount of money for a clinic yet, Lisa, and besides, I love working there. Mr Daniel doesn't order me around–" Kiara replied but was cut short when she heard,

"Mommy!" Kiara heard as they approached her car. Her little angels were calling her name, and amongst them, Zoey's voice was the loudest. She rushed towards them, and when they all stepped out of the car, gave them all a hug. "Thank you for being good children. Now tell mommy what you all what, and she'll do it."

"Anything?"Zane questioned, giving Kiara puppy eyes in return. When she nodded her head, the kids all stared at each other before Zion spoke up,

"Ice cream."

Kiara gasped. Oh goodness! These three mischievous little devils had played a good trick on her. She suddenly recalled she had told them no more ice cream for a week because they were taking so much of it, and besides she had to monitor their health properly. Now, she couldn't say no because she had told them anything and it would definitely be wrong to do otherwise of their wishes.

"Trying to play tricks on Momma? When did you three become so smart?"

They all giggled, while Kiara responded, "Alright, but after this, no more ice cream. Deal." They nodded their heads, and that was it. "Kids you'll go home with Aunt Lisa, I have to go work now, I promise I'll be back very early okay."

"Okay Mom."

"Okay Mom."

"Okay Mom."

Kiara leaned to their level and gave her kids a peck each on their forehead, then she rose to her feet, waved them goodbye and began to leave because she needed to meet with Mr Daniel.

It took Kiara an hour to get back to the hospital. As she walked in, the looks, and smile on people's faces made her realize that her speech today had gotten to their ears. Kiara didn't stop smiling and when she finally got to Mr Daniel's office, adjusted her skirt properly and then rasped a knock on the door.

"Come in." The voice came from the other side, and when Kiara heard it, she twisted the door knob and opened the door. "Good day Mr Daniel."

"Please sit!" She was told and when she did, he cleared his throat aloud in order to speak up, "Congratulations, Ms Karla Everhart. This hospital and all it's staffs are so proud of you."

"Thank you so much." She dropped her hands on her thighs, wondering if that was the sole reason he called her here. No, that couldn't be it! There must be something else, but she had to wait patiently to listen to what it was.

"There's a huge offer deal that is close to being seal but right now you're all that we need for that to happen. The board members already signed your name to it and that was the reason for this meeting" He started, and Kiara arched her brows in confusion, but patiently maintained her gesture so she could listen to everything he had to say.

"Mr Aiden Knight, one of the world greatest business tycoon needs our expertise and a potential doctor. Right now, there's a critical situation and Mr Aiden has decided to come to us for help. You're the only doctor that came to mind because this is a huge opportunity and it isn't ever worth messing up. You'll receive a huge promotion after everything has been concluded and is successful."

Kiara was speechless and couldn't utter a word as a response to what he had just said. In fact, just hearing Aiden's name was partially able to bring back part of the memories that she had buried deep down her heart, but nevertheless, it would be impossible to say no, and more importantly, there was something huge waiting for her at the other end. Yes, Aiden had banished her, but he was the one who wanted her help now. Kiara thought for a some long minutes, telling herself that she wasn't doing it for him, but for the people she was going there to save.

"I'll do it, but on one condition" Kiara paused until he responded by nodding his head, "I need a written statement confirming that I and my kids would never encounter any harm whatsoever until the period elapses." Kiara replied, with a deep long breath.
