“Get back here!”

“You cannot hide!”

“We will get you at some point.” The men are searching the forest floor, but they are not going to find me down there. I snicker and look in my backpack. I got what I came for, and now I’ll have to hurry to the other side of the country. This is going to take time, because right now I cannot use my teleportation powers, as they’ll have a means to track me down. I roll my eyes, leaning back against the thick tree trunk, and close my eyes lightly. I keep my ears perked for the slightest sound of someone noticing I am up here, but so far they are far too busy looking for me down there.

The sound of the men cursing, shouting to each other and ruffling the forest floor to see where they are going. I might or might not have set some small traps for my unwilling friends down there, and I can’t wait for one of them to stumble upon them.
