Unknown P.O.V. “Get back here!” “You cannot hide!” “We will get you at some point.” The men are searching the forest floor, but they are not going to find me down there. I snicker and look in my backpack. I got what I came for, and now I’ll have to hurry to the other side of the country. This is going to take time, because right now I cannot use my teleportation powers, as they’ll have a means to track me down. I roll my eyes, leaning back against the thick tree trunk, and close my eyes lightly. I keep my ears perked for the slightest sound of someone noticing I am up here, but so far they are far too busy looking for me down there. The sound of the men cursing, shouting to each other and ruffling the forest floor to see where they are going. I might or might not have set some small traps for my unwilling friends down there, and I can’t wait for one of them to stumble upon them. “Ooof!” One of the men grunts as leaves and branches give way for this weight, then the lovely sounds
Ivy P.O.V. It’s been a few days since our encounter with my mother and her sister. Isabella has been making it a point to teach Isaiah and I about our heritage as child and great grandchild of a Goddess. We have powers no one else poses, which is also why we are the Royal bloodline. The fact that we could compel our ranked members to shift during our coronation and my Luna ceremony just goes to show how strong we both are, but as Isaiah says; “it was the call from his Queen that made Apollo follow suit to howl at the moon.” I think it over, as Raven prance around proudly in my mind. She has her chest puffed out, which I internally am laughing so hard over. She is a sight for sore mental eyes. We keep discovering new things and sides to being a Goddess child, or relative. It kind of makes me dizzy. All the texts keep saying I am supposed to be some sort of superior being, but I do not feel like that at all. I feel like my awkward, clueless and clumsy self. Although I’ll have to admit
Isaiah P.O.V. I just stand there and blink several times before Selen’s words even make sense to me. Then I look back at the young man, whose eyes are roaming my mate. I immediately growl and pull Ivy closer into embrace. She giggles, his snorts and Selene rolls her eyes. The others are on their toes at my growl and take a step closer as well, as I can feel them come closer to me. “Isaiah, that will not be necessary, Jasper is aware that Ivy is mated and as my grandchild and nephew I hope you both can get along. You are actually all three in some sort of weird family. You are all connected to my sisters and me, so please behave. I don’t want to come here and separate y’all or have to explain to Solaris why her son is dead.” Jasper snorts again, turning his head to Selene. “I won’t be the one who is dead, aunt, if it comes down to that.” Then he falls to his knees, his eyes widening and his breath coming out strained. He looks up, as I let go of Ivy. Her hair is flowing around her,
Jasper P.O.V. The Beta and Gamma show me a few rooms, but they let me choose where I want to stay, which is fairly nice of them. I noticed we never entered the Alpha floor, although my status as Solari’s son, a Goddess born, allows me the same privileges as Alpha’s or other leaders, but I guess the King does not want me anywhere near his mate. She is a looker for sure, a pretty little thing, but she is not for me. She has her mate, and if there is one thing I actually respect it’s the matebond. Aunt Selene would have my head faster than I can blink if I ever tried to interfere with one of her couples. She’s very touchy on that particular subject. Of course the King does not know that, and I did check out his mate in the background, but not for the reason he believed. I was checking out her aura and power dept. I must say I’m hella impressed and intrigued, not that I would ever admit that. She is powerful beyond anyone or anything I have ever come across in my many years on this eart
Ivy P.O.V. “I found out who your father is, and your full parentage today. You are not a far, cousin.” Jasper says and the room goes eerie quiet. People are holding their breath to see how I will react, I gather, and I myself do not even know what to say to that? Of course I’m a fae. I have the fae looks and powers. What the actual fuck. ‘Raven, do you know what he is on about?’ ‘Our cousin is right. We have fae traits because that is what our mother gave us, but we have no blood of the fae in us. We have divine and wolf blood, through and through.’ ‘But.. We’re a hybrid.’ ‘Yes, Ivy. We’re a Goddess/werewolf hybrid.’ ‘God.. Goddess? I’m a what?!’ ‘We, child. We are that! We are a hybrid created out of true love between our parents.’‘You’ve known all along?’ ‘I suspected, but it didn’t click before Jasper told us just now. I am far too strong to be fighting space within you with another mortal species. Our Goddess side has merged fully with our wolf side, which is why we can
King Edor P.O.V. The battle plans have been going mostly smoothly, and I know for a fact that the wolf King has no idea what I am planning. Ashti and Briell are still mad at me and both of them refuse to speak to me. They have resolved to live in a private wing of the castle, which I put under guard as a result of their decisions. Ashti was furious the first time she tried to leave and was told she was under house arrest, and I cackled all the way to my office after the head guard retold how she had thrown a tantrum. My people are starting to question my sanity as their King, but I do not care. I remind them, harshly, why I am King, and my spies tell me it has been quiet since then.Speaking of spies, I managed to get some planted into the Jewel pack as well, and they have been most informative. Everyday I find a new stack of papers with news about the daily activities of Ivy and her entourage. “The Queen went for a walk amongst the pack today. Many didn’t know what to think of he
Isaiah P.O.V.“Come one, Ivy!” Jasper yells on the training ground. Ivy blasts a practice doll to smithereens, and he only lifts an eyebrow. “That was not what I asked you to do. Come on, you have to concentrate.” She focuses on another doll, and this time it levitates instead of blows up. She throws it up, catching it again with her powers and puts it down to the ground. “Better. But you have to be quicker.” Jasper scolds, as Ivy narrows her eyes at him. I know that look by now. He is going to be in trouble if he doesn’t let up a bit. Just then he jumps to the side, rolling on the ground and jumping to his feet. He flips Ivy upside down, and I’m on my feet in an instant but before I can move she has broken free and Jasper yelps as something invisible must have hit him. Ivy lands on her feet, running towards Jasper, and he barely dodge the first throw of her fist, but catches her other hand and throws her over his hip. She does a full flip in the air, landing gracefully on the ground,
Ivy P.O.V. Jasper and I are doing some mental training, which I think must look extremely weird to Isaiah, but I will explain afterwards. After I accidentally tapped into Jasper's mind just before, he linked me that I need to strengthen my inner defenses and control how, when and who I tap into. It could have been someone sinister who could have used it for personal gain, because when you do it by accident, you’ll leave a backdoor open to your own mind. You need to make sure it is closed. This does not happen when you purposely enter someone else's mind.As we were training, something knocked on my mental door and I overheard the mindlink to Isaiah, which I think was for us both but directed to him. I quickly told Jasper about the danger, and we shifted ready to go. His fox is absolutely wonderful, and I need to take a closer look at some point where we are not in danger of losing our lives. The gratitude i
