Diane's POV

Throughout the car ride, I couldn't stop myself from crying. The tears just continued streaming down my cheeks and I couldn't stop it. If anything I welcomed it.

They said when you cried a lot, you were letting out your pain off your body but no amount of tears could cure the pain I felt. It only got stronger.

My heart was squeezing in on itself and my lungs felt like they would explode as the air kept reducing.

My chest felt like an elephant sat in it and even as I rubbed my hands over it. It didn't stop. It only got stronger.

I couldn't even look out of the car because the vehicle was covered. This was because Lucius didn't want me to know the way back. The driver's side of the vehicle was also covered, so aside from the soft sound of the tires moving over the tarred road, my sniffled and aching heart were the only sounds that kept me company.

After what felt like an entire lifetime, the vehicle came to a stop and the side door opened.
