Prologue 1

Jamie:

My eyes linger on the stage, as I watch Alpha Daryl together with his Luna, Aunty Hazel, and their lovely daughter Tiffany standing beside them, she was only ten years old and I am fucking fifteen, she is my childhood friend, she is more like a sister to me, one I was supposed to protect with all my life. How could I miss that, when my mother, Luna Fiona, and Aunty Hazel, her mother always reminded me of that every day. “Jamie, you should protect your baby sister with everything within you.”

Alpha Daryl and Luna Hazel, are having their gala night, for the first time, they are introducing their daughter to the world, everyone knows they have a daughter but they have never set eyes on her, if there is one thing Alpha Daryl cherishes after his Luna was this little troublesome brat of them. He could give Tiffany everything but not let her leave his sight nor go out of the territory, dad used to say, they have so many enemies, enemies that he and Tiffany's mother, Luna Hazel had created when they were living in one pack.

The place was surrounded by Alphas' son and their Beta’s son, and the thought that one day, one of these little guys will grow and end up being the fated mate to my tigress of a princess, makes me worried, and if she is not mated to any one of them, that will push her into the claiming ceremony. being an Alpha female makes her always at risk for the claiming, I wouldn’t want her to end up with someone she doesn’t love. I want her to be happy.

My eyes were still on the stage when I noticed that Tiffany, had freed her hand from the Luna and she was now running through the hallway of the hall where the party was going on. “Oh Tiffany, what is she up to?” I murmured to myself as I rushed after her, if there was one thing Tiffany hated was the fact that she had to wear a gown. She hates wearing this princess gown and the numerous things attached to a princess. “Careful princess, you don’t want to trip and fall,” Aunty Simi said, but Tiffany wasn’t paying attention, she pulled my hand as soon as she got to me.

“Tiffany, will you stop pulling me?” she let go of my hands thinking that she was mad at me but with the way her unripe chest was going up and down, she was probably trying to catch her breath. While my eyes remain on her face, she is beautiful although her face is small, she still looks super cute and innocent

“Aren’t you grateful that I pulled you out of the boring party?” she scowled. As much as I love to enjoy those parties organized by the Alphas, I also love to enjoy quality time with this brat of a girl, a feisty lady, I hope she doesn’t turn into a war freak when she turns eighteen and gets her wolf.

“It wasn’t boring, it’s part of the process of becoming an Alpha, one day when you become an Alpha, you will have to organize parties where other Alpha and their beta and even their gamma will attend and you will have to keep a conversation with them, so you…”

“shut up Jamie, come with me.” She pulled my hand, she had always been like that since we were younger, and she was always cutting me off.

“Tiffany, do you realize that I am your Alpha? Stop ordering me around.” She looks at me and titters, running her eyes all over my face and then my body.

“You can’t be my alpha, you can only be your Luna Alpha, not me.” She scoffed and then turned to me. “Now move,” I rolled my eyes at her annoying words, they are irritating but I can’t stay mad at her, she wouldn’t understand now, she is just A little kitten, kitten don’t grow fast. So you let them learn at their pace.

“An alpha is not just an alpha to his Luna but to every member of his Pack,” I explained without emotions, my face was stoic, yet again, she didn’t take my expression seriously, she just pulled my hand.

“Jamie, you should know this is my territory, and in this territory, I and only me could be referred to as the alpha of this pack.” I take a step from her resting lazily on the pillar of the balcony, since we are already out of the ballroom.

“An alpha, you want me to call you an Alpha?” I asked my voice was filled with touches of sarcasm but she paid no attention to my words, she just nodded. “Alphas don’t need protection, they protect others but you see because you are a baby, you can’t even protect yourself that is the reason, you always need beta Dane to protect you, your dad had practically turned his beta to your guard.” Uncle Dane is the strongest warrior in their Pack, and he is the only one Alpha Daryl could trust to protect his daughter. She rolled her eyes at me, and I pinned my lips together, preventing the laughter that was rolling from my throat, Then a creepy smile curved her lips as she grinned, I know that smile, this little thing is cooking up something cunning.

“Alpha,” she called, her puppy eyes fixed on my face, I know those looks, they weren’t that of admiration but someone cooking something crooked. “Let’s see if I am the only one that needs a guard, maybe, you should dismiss Uncle Sky? Let me see you roll out an alpha command to him.” She said placing her hand on her waist. Now she got me, I ran my hand on my nape, uncle Sky has always gone everywhere with me, he was the one that trained me, and my father trusted him to protect me just as Tiffany’s father trusted Uncle Dane to protect her, although I think I could fight with my wolf just appearing a few days ago, father and mother doesn’t think I am free to do all I wanted until I turned eighteen, then I must have mastered my full energy.  

“Tiffany, leave Uncle Sky out of this.” She tittered

“That means…”

I interrupted her, “No, I am not like you, I am a true Alpha, and I could protect myself,” I grabbed Tiffany's hand pulling her with me, as we walked towards Uncle Sky. Seeing the both of us, he smiled. “Your Highness, do you…”

“Father, call for you, he said Luna needed you to fix something for her.” Uncle Sky nodded, heading into the main building, but he turned suddenly to look at us, “hey you two kids don’t go close to the border, that is off limits,” Uncle Sky said before he turned and headed into the main building, Tiffany look at me and I know she wanted to say something to annoyed me because I wasn’t able to roll out my Alpha command to dismiss Uncle Sky, instead I have used logic on him.

“Come with me, don’t you want to meet my wolf,” Her eyes beam with a lovely smile. I haven’t told her about my wolf, I was planning on surprising her with it and now she is excited to see it. “come with me, I know a good place you could shift.” She pulled me along with her, we ended up running towards the forest in the north.

“Now shift, I wanted to see it, I am dying to meet it.” Tiffany, the boss lady kept ordering me around. “Stop ordering me around, I am still your Alpha.” She scoffed, moving closer to me, in a blink, she grabbed my shirt buttons. “What the fuck are you doing?” I asked trying to stop her hands that were working on my shirt.

“Stop acting like I am your Luna who wants you to have sex with her.” My eyes bulge open hearing her use of words, where the fuck did she hear the word sex, I was battling with myself and she rolled her eyes. “Stop thinking I don’t know what the fuck is that? But not to worry, I am not taking off your wear for that, I am only doing that, so you don’t end up walking nude after shifting.” I smirked and hit her head softly while I took her hands off my shirt, slowly.

“Don’t worry, I could take off my shirt but you will have to turn around,” I said with a tight throat, after staring at me, she finally turned.

“Now that you have your wolf, are you going to also take a Luna, mommy said that when a male from the Alpha family has their wolf it wouldn’t take long before the alpha Transit their power and authority to them, and all alpha must have a Luna, a fated Luna or a chosen one, so are you picking one or have you already found your fated mate?” I wasn’t expecting Tiffany's words but I knew she needed an answer.

“You want me to pick one?” I asked, causing her to turn and look at me, her eyes bulging.
