Analyn POV
Power.
My body trembled as I felt a surge of heat and power coursing through my bloodstream. Bright silver lights were dancing in front of me, almost blurring my vision.
All I did was wish that it was daylight already.
My wish seemed to come to an effect as the bright light shone through the clouds and suddenly, it wasn't dark anymore.
The monster screamed as smoke came out of his body. I was doing it. I was killing him with light!
But how am I doing it? I couldn't understand it myself.
The monster screamed in pain and stomped his way into the forest. "He is getting away!" Ambrose said and proceeded to get up, but I pushed him back down.
"Stop it. Let him go. We can catch him later," I scolded him.
"But..."
"But nothing. You are hurt. Let's take care of your wound first, then you can plan another attack on him," I told him.
"He killed Jaq." His voice was thick with emotion. I let
Dave POV "Get out of the sun!" the girl screamed and dragged me away somewhere. Oh, that's right. Smoke was coming out of my body, so I suppose I should take shelter. Oh, the woes of being a vampire. That's the only thing I hate about the undead lifestyle. The sun came up every morning and became my enemy. It was my only weakness. Well, besides silver and garlic, I suppose. But at least those things would only weaken my strength and not disintegrate me! "Where are we going?" I said in amusement as the little werewolf ran while holding my hand. "There's a shed in the back alley. We can take shelter there. The sunlight can't get inside," she said. Ah, sweet darkness. I could already feel my skin peeling. I hoped the shed wasn't too far away. "We are here!" she said after we arrived in front of a large shed that looked like a mechanic's garage. She pulled the door open and pushed me in. "Good thing
Ambrose POVIt has been over a week, but there was no sign of the drider anywhere. Logan and Theo went to check the cave, but it had been empty since the night of the attack. But I knew it was far from over. The monster will be back once he is done recovering, and I will be waiting for him.I watched Analyn roll out of bed with her eyes closed as she staggered to the bathroom. I guess it was time to wake up and get ready for bed. I needed to call everyone to the dining room and have a meeting about the..."AAAAAAAAAAAAH!"I jumped up as I heard her scream at the top of her lungs. Was she being attacked?I ran to the bathroom, ready to fight whoever it was but was shocked to see her standing in front of the mirror by herself."What is it? What's wrong?" I asked frantically."What the hell is this?" Analyn said and pointed at her stomach.I furrowed my eyebrows, feeling confused. She just looked like a normal pregnant lady to me.
Analyn POVI splashed some water in my face, so I was starting to feel better. But the pregnancy thing was freaking me out. I thought I had a few more months to get used to it, but I was waddling around with this giant tummy.I woke up this morning because I felt a kick. No, not just a kick, several kicks. They were playing soccer there and it was an intense ball game. Fuck my life, truly. But I felt dizzy with happiness at the same time. I was going to be a mother! They weren't even out yet, but I already felt connected to them, and I felt tingly all over. It was like electricity. They inherited some of my and I felt it in my bones.Well, that's a scary thought. What would happen if they were way more powerful than me? I can't imagine these toddlers running around, setting things on fire. How are we supposed to control them? I hope Sylvia was an excellent nanny!I shouldn't worry about that now. For now, I need to find out who I am. I decided to c
Ambrose POV I felt bad for lying to Analyn, but I didn't want her to know that I was planning on seeing Chloe. She might get jealous or get the wrong idea. But it's not like I was going on a date with Chloe. I needed information. I needed things to go exactly the way I wanted and I didn't want Ana to get the wrong idea. I knew where to find her. According to the bar owner, Chloe visited almost every night. What a boring lifestyle she had, I scoffed. I didn't take anyone else with me in case she got suspicious. I needed everything to go smoothly. I was right. She was at the bar. She sat in the dark corner all alone. It was the perfect opportunity. "Need some company?" She turned to me and smiled when she realized I was standing in front of her. "Look what the cat dragged in. What are you doing here all by yourself? Where are your other puppies that always hang around with you?" Chloe flashed a fa
Analyn POV I looked at the address I scribbled down on the paper. It wasn't too far from where Ambrose and I lived. It was time to pay the place a little visit. I went back to the house first. I knew Ambrose didn't like it when I did things alone, so he would kill me if he knew I was visiting some random witch's house. Especially at this time of the night. So I figured I would ask for his help. I couldn't find him anywhere in the house, so I headed to their practice battleground. I saw a few guys cleaning up, but Ambrose was nowhere to be seen. "Have you guys seen Ambrose?" I asked one of the men. The blonde guy with tattoos scratched his head. "I haven't seen the Alpha since the sun went down." "Well, where is he?" I asked. I suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if Ambrose was in trouble. The blonde wolf shrugged. "Do you know where he is?" He turned to his friend and asked. His friend shook his head. "Theo
Dave POVI witnessed the whole thing from a distance. I watched Ambrose seduce my sister, my naive sister. She had always been so weak. It's a surprise she lasted this long and didn't get killed by a Vampire Hunter or something.I couldn't hear what they were saying and I couldn't get too close because I knew that alpha would sense my presence immediately. Werewolves had strong instincts and a great sense of smell. Even stronger than the vampires.I thought about stepping in and fighting the wolf off of Chloe, but I stayed back and watched them interact. I knew if I interjected, Chloe would be mad at me. She had wanted to drink his blood for a while now. And I could understand her addiction. So why not let her have some fun? I will warn her later. So I watched them from the shadows. No matter how much it annoyed me.But things got worse when Analyn stepped in and went into a jealous rage. What was shocking was the powers she possessed. He
Analyn POV This is it? I looked at the burnt building. I looked at the address on the piece of paper to make sure I was at the right place, but there was no mistake that this was the place. "Should we go in there? It looks like no one lived here for ages," I said, already feeling demotivated. "Yes. We are going in. We'll search the entire place if we have to," Ambrose said. I felt better about him being here. I was still mad at him from what I witnessed in the club, but I decided to set that aside for now. I will deal with the jerk another time. The place smelled and looked terrible. All the windows were broken. There were newspapers scattered everywhere. Paint peeled off of the walls. Ambrose started to sniff around like a dog. It was making me laugh, but I forced myself to stay serious. This was an important business, after all. "Let's start in the kitchen first," Ambrose said. We looked in some other rooms after but found no
Analyn POV"I am?" I looked at Sylvia, completely dumbfounded. "But I am not tiny or have pointy ears." I referred to the picture in the book."You aren't in your true form right now and you well...still blocked in your brain, so you can't shift yet," Sylvia said."Are you telling me that Ana can shift into that tiny thing?" Ambrose finally spoke. He kept looking back and forth between me and the picture of the fae. He picked up the book and read some more. "Faerie's have the power to make vampires fall in love. Their blood has the aphrodisiac quality that makes vampires feel like they are drunk and high." Ambrose stopped reading and looked up from the book. "No wonder Dave is so obsessed with you. He is just a crackhead who wants to get high," he said in a playful tone."You have the same blood," Sylvia said.We both gasped. "What! Don't tell me Ambrose and I are related? Eww...?" I exclaimed.Sylvia chuckled. "No, honey. I
