Ambrose POV
"Ambrose, sweetheart," Sylvia was rubbing my back to comfort me, but I was feeling lost and devastated.
Ana was gone, and I had never felt so empty inside. That bastard disappeared with her right under my nose and I couldn't stop him. I felt like I was useless and it made me burn with rage.
I need to find her before Dave hurts her. Or worse, make her fall in love with him.
I've heard about Vampire's ability to charm humans and make them fall for them so they could use them as their blood servant. And after they drink the human's blood for a while, he or she could slowly whither away or go mad. I couldn't let that happen to Analyn. Analyn was mine.
"I miss her." I sighed. There was no point in hiding it anymore. Without her, I felt incomplete.
"Wherever she is, she is safe. I can feel it. And she is not as weak as you think. I bet she will escape at the first chance she gets," Sylvia said.
Her words
Hmm...why do all the vampire girls want to taste him?
Dave POVThis wasn't some kind of great love story.I didn't bring Analyn to spend the rest of our lives together because I fell in love with her.It was something different than love.It was an addiction. When I looked at her at that mall for the first time, I felt a rush of excitement. My entire body started to tingle, and I was overwhelmed by thirst. I knew it wasn't just an ordinary thirst for blood. It was meant specifically for her.I wanted to drink her blood only because I knew it would give me great ecstasy. And at the same time, I realized something else. She was no ordinary human being. Her scent was different than other human girls. She was not the first one I met who made my head spin.It happened back in the 1600s. The farmers in the village became wary of us when we killed too many people. They guarded their houses with stakes and silver bullets to keep us and werewolves away. So I decided to go
Analyn POVThere was no way I would sit around and wait for Dave to make his next move, so I decided to leave the bedroom as soon as Rosie left. I kept going in different rooms and tried to open each door and window. But they were all locked."Looking for something, Miss?" I turned around as I heard Rosie's voice."I just...I was looking for the kitchen," I mumbled.Rosie's lips curled into a small smile. "No, you weren't. You were trying to escape, weren't you?" she said.I sighed. "Gosh, no. Who wouldn't want to be a prisoner of the descendant of Count Dracula," I bit back with sarcasm?Rosie giggled. "You know, it's not that bad," she offered."What's not that bad?" I asked."Letting him drink from you. You won't feel a thing. Not even when his fangs pierce through your skin. It might sting a little at first but soon, there only be pleasure," Rosie went on."H...how do you know? Did he do that to you?
Ambrose POV"Where to?" I turned to Chloe and asked. We were sitting on my truck, getting ready to go to Dave's house. Chloe was still looking at me like I was made of chocolate, but she agreed to let me rescue Ana."He lives a little far from the city. It's more isolated, and Dave likes to be alone. I was the only one who is allowed to live with him," Chloe said.Of course, he does. Creepy bastard."I don't care about his lifestyle. Just get me there," I grumbled."Don't forget about your promise," Chloe whispered and looked at me with lusty eyes.I had made her a promise to let her drink some more of my blood even though I wasn't planning on keeping that promise.Or maybe I will keep it as it might make Analyn jealous. I grinned but then turned serious as I remembered she was alone in the house with Dave. That bastard better not have bitten her already. I would snap his fucking neck if he did.Chloe gave me t
Analyn POV I don't know what happened. I watched in horror as Rosie lunged at me with her eyes full of hatred and hunger. But something happened that prevented her from touching me. And that's where things got confusing. I let out a cry and raised my hand in an attempt to block her attack, even though I knew it was a feeble attempt. I used all of my strength to push her, half expecting to get hit. She was a vampire, so she was much stronger than me, right? Well, it turns out I was wrong. Both Rosie and I stared at each other as my little push sent her flying through the air. She let out a scream as her body slammed against the wall. I heard a sickening crunch. "Well, well, well. This is surprising," Dave commented and walked toward the little girl. What the fuck just happened. Did I just throw Rosie across the room? But I barely touched her! And that's when Ambrose barged in, and all hell broke
Ambrose POVI quickly responded to Theo and got dressed. I looked at Ana, who had a confused look on her face. "Hang tight and do not leave the room," I ordered her and left the room without explaining further. If Theo was interrupting me, this had to be a big emergency."What's the matter?""Ambr...I mean Alpha Ambrose. We have an emergency," Theo panted.Oh great. Did the monster find its way in already?"What happened?" I asked."The Bloodmoon pack had attacked our territory. They said we brutally murdered their Beta Baron," Theodore said.Baron. That name sounded familiar.Hang on...isn't that..."It's that fucker who attacked Analyn!" I exclaimed."Yes. But we haven't done anything to him yet, so why are they saying we murdered him?" Theo asked. It's true. I had Baron on my mind ever since he tried to kidnap Ana, but I hadn't had the chance to take revenge on him. I had been too busy d
Analyn POVI woke up feeling disoriented. My entire body ached, and my head throbbed. In addition, I felt sick to my stomach.Ambrose was lying next to me, still sleeping peacefully. I reached out and poked his chest. His eyes snapped open."What?" he scrunched his eyebrows in annoyance."I...um...I don't feel so good," I murmured. He sat up immediately and looked at me with concern. "What's wrong?""I feel nauseous. I want to throw up," I said.Ambrose jumped up. "Don't you dare throw up in bed. These sheets are high-quality fabric!"Ugh! Why is this his main concern?"I don't care about the stupid fabric. Please, just help me to the bathroom," I snapped.Ambrose scooped me up in his arms and carried me to the bathroom.I enjoyed him holding me close despite my current state. He sat me down in front of the toilet and stayed behind me.I took one look at the bowl and started throwing
Dave POVI was furious as I watched Analyn and Ambrose disappear into thin air. What in the world was that? How did they do that?I was a vampire and was able to move faster than many other beings, but I've never seen anyone open up a portal and vanish into thin air.It was even more shocking when that alpha did the same thing.I knew one thing for sure. Analyn was not a purebred human and Ambrose was not a purebred werewolf. They were something special and knowing that fact made me very angry."Where did they go?" Chloe cried when they were gone."It seems that they know how to open a portal," I said grimly."That's impossible! Werewolves and humans don't know how to do that. Only magical beings like...like..." Chloe searched for the right word."I don't know," I declared, but I had my suspicions. One thing for sure, I needed her. If I drank her blood and absorbed some of her life force, I would know wh
Analyn POV"What did you say?" I gasped. I couldn't believe my ears. Of course, Ambrose hadn't confessed his love for me or anything, but I felt like this was way more shocking.Ambrose was avoiding my eyes."Look at me, Ambrose. Tell me again what you just said," I insisted."I think you are my mate, Anna.""That's not possible." My voice was barely audible.Ambrose hugged me again and kissed my hair. "I know I haven't been nice to you. And I know I said you could never be my mate. But I can't explain this pull I feel towards you. Every time I look at you, my heart aches, and you are just... you are just so beautiful to me, and I can't stay away from you. There is no other way to explain this. You are my mate. You have to be." He paused after giving me his speech. This was officially better than a love confession.I shivered as I'd never heard his voice like this before. It was thick with emotion. I was speech
