Ambrose POV
"Where to?" I turned to Chloe and asked. We were sitting on my truck, getting ready to go to Dave's house. Chloe was still looking at me like I was made of chocolate, but she agreed to let me rescue Ana.
"He lives a little far from the city. It's more isolated, and Dave likes to be alone. I was the only one who is allowed to live with him," Chloe said.
Of course, he does. Creepy bastard.
"I don't care about his lifestyle. Just get me there," I grumbled.
"Don't forget about your promise," Chloe whispered and looked at me with lusty eyes.
I had made her a promise to let her drink some more of my blood even though I wasn't planning on keeping that promise.
Or maybe I will keep it as it might make Analyn jealous. I grinned but then turned serious as I remembered she was alone in the house with Dave. That bastard better not have bitten her already. I would snap his fucking neck if he did.
Chloe gave me t
Analyn POV I don't know what happened. I watched in horror as Rosie lunged at me with her eyes full of hatred and hunger. But something happened that prevented her from touching me. And that's where things got confusing. I let out a cry and raised my hand in an attempt to block her attack, even though I knew it was a feeble attempt. I used all of my strength to push her, half expecting to get hit. She was a vampire, so she was much stronger than me, right? Well, it turns out I was wrong. Both Rosie and I stared at each other as my little push sent her flying through the air. She let out a scream as her body slammed against the wall. I heard a sickening crunch. "Well, well, well. This is surprising," Dave commented and walked toward the little girl. What the fuck just happened. Did I just throw Rosie across the room? But I barely touched her! And that's when Ambrose barged in, and all hell broke
Ambrose POVI quickly responded to Theo and got dressed. I looked at Ana, who had a confused look on her face. "Hang tight and do not leave the room," I ordered her and left the room without explaining further. If Theo was interrupting me, this had to be a big emergency."What's the matter?""Ambr...I mean Alpha Ambrose. We have an emergency," Theo panted.Oh great. Did the monster find its way in already?"What happened?" I asked."The Bloodmoon pack had attacked our territory. They said we brutally murdered their Beta Baron," Theodore said.Baron. That name sounded familiar.Hang on...isn't that..."It's that fucker who attacked Analyn!" I exclaimed."Yes. But we haven't done anything to him yet, so why are they saying we murdered him?" Theo asked. It's true. I had Baron on my mind ever since he tried to kidnap Ana, but I hadn't had the chance to take revenge on him. I had been too busy d
Analyn POVI woke up feeling disoriented. My entire body ached, and my head throbbed. In addition, I felt sick to my stomach.Ambrose was lying next to me, still sleeping peacefully. I reached out and poked his chest. His eyes snapped open."What?" he scrunched his eyebrows in annoyance."I...um...I don't feel so good," I murmured. He sat up immediately and looked at me with concern. "What's wrong?""I feel nauseous. I want to throw up," I said.Ambrose jumped up. "Don't you dare throw up in bed. These sheets are high-quality fabric!"Ugh! Why is this his main concern?"I don't care about the stupid fabric. Please, just help me to the bathroom," I snapped.Ambrose scooped me up in his arms and carried me to the bathroom.I enjoyed him holding me close despite my current state. He sat me down in front of the toilet and stayed behind me.I took one look at the bowl and started throwing
Dave POVI was furious as I watched Analyn and Ambrose disappear into thin air. What in the world was that? How did they do that?I was a vampire and was able to move faster than many other beings, but I've never seen anyone open up a portal and vanish into thin air.It was even more shocking when that alpha did the same thing.I knew one thing for sure. Analyn was not a purebred human and Ambrose was not a purebred werewolf. They were something special and knowing that fact made me very angry."Where did they go?" Chloe cried when they were gone."It seems that they know how to open a portal," I said grimly."That's impossible! Werewolves and humans don't know how to do that. Only magical beings like...like..." Chloe searched for the right word."I don't know," I declared, but I had my suspicions. One thing for sure, I needed her. If I drank her blood and absorbed some of her life force, I would know wh
Analyn POV"What did you say?" I gasped. I couldn't believe my ears. Of course, Ambrose hadn't confessed his love for me or anything, but I felt like this was way more shocking.Ambrose was avoiding my eyes."Look at me, Ambrose. Tell me again what you just said," I insisted."I think you are my mate, Anna.""That's not possible." My voice was barely audible.Ambrose hugged me again and kissed my hair. "I know I haven't been nice to you. And I know I said you could never be my mate. But I can't explain this pull I feel towards you. Every time I look at you, my heart aches, and you are just... you are just so beautiful to me, and I can't stay away from you. There is no other way to explain this. You are my mate. You have to be." He paused after giving me his speech. This was officially better than a love confession.I shivered as I'd never heard his voice like this before. It was thick with emotion. I was speech
Analyn POVI was surprised to see her."Oh hey Charlotte, I just saw Ambrose not so long ago. Why didn't he come to get me himself?" I asked"Alpha Ambrose wanted me to come escort you to him instead," Charlotte said. Her eyes were sort of glazed over, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I was just happy that Ambrose wanted me. He wanted to see me again so soon.He must miss me. I felt giddy inside. Gosh, I miss him already too."Okay, take me to him," I chirped without having a second thought."Shouldn't you lie down?" Sylvia asked. Her eyes were full of worry."No, I feel better. The medicine worked instantly. You are a wizard!" I exclaimed.Sylvia chuckled. "Alright, but take it easy. You shouldn't move around too much. Tomorrow morning you'll feel as good as new, but tonight, you should rest more," she advised."I will, thank you, Sylvia," I said and followed Charlotte.Where was he waiting
Ambrose POVI had a feeling something was wrong. As if Anna was in danger. It was a heavy feeling in my chest. I should probably listen to my instinct and go check on her since I could feel how she felt.I want to see Sylvia first because that's where Ana was supposed to be."Where is Anna?" I asked Sylvia when I didn't see her."Analyn isn't with you? Didn't you ask her to come see you?" Sylvia narrowed her eyes."What are you talking about?" I demanded to know. This wasn't good. Analyn was carrying my heir. I need to keep her safe no matter what."Charlotte came over a few minutes ago and told Analyn that you asked her to join her outside," Sylvia said. Now she was starting to look concerned. "What happened? Where is she?" she asked, but I didn't answer her.A feeling of dread grew in at the pit of my stomach. Analyn was in trouble. I knew it. That girl Charlotte lied to her, and she wouldn't lie to her unless she w
Analyn POV"I need answers."I sat across from my father the following day."What is this about all of a sudden?" My dad asked."Daddy. I know you haven't been honest with me about who I am. At least, not entirely." I went straight to the point. There was no point in dancing around the subject."I don't understand what you are asking me," My father looked confused.I looked at Ambrose, who looked like he was running out of patience. He brought me here as soon as we woke up this morning because he thought things needed to come out as soon as possible before it was too late."Look, Mr Sabado. We have a problem. Analyn is starting to show that she has certain powers. The kind of powers humans does not have. So I think it's time you tell us who she really is because there is no way she's a human, Ambrose said. He stared at him intently so my dad wouldn't try to avoid his questioning. My father was taken aback by it
