Analyn POV
"What did you say?" I gasped. I couldn't believe my ears. Of course, Ambrose hadn't confessed his love for me or anything, but I felt like this was way more shocking.
Ambrose was avoiding my eyes.
"Look at me, Ambrose. Tell me again what you just said," I insisted.
"I think you are my mate, Anna."
"That's not possible." My voice was barely audible.
Ambrose hugged me again and kissed my hair. "I know I haven't been nice to you. And I know I said you could never be my mate. But I can't explain this pull I feel towards you. Every time I look at you, my heart aches, and you are just... you are just so beautiful to me, and I can't stay away from you. There is no other way to explain this. You are my mate. You have to be." He paused after giving me his speech.
This was officially better than a love confession.
