Analyn POV
I watched Ambrose. He looked like he was in a panic. He had mentioned the curse to me before, and I remembered him telling me how dangerous he became during that time.
"I...I'll go down there. There are only four hours left until it happens," he said.
"I'll come with you and help," Sylvia told him.
"I am coming too," I said.
"No!" Ambrose protested immediately.
I felt a little hurt by it. Why was he trying to reject me again? "Why can't I come? I am your wife. I am coming with you," I insisted.
Sylvia nodded. "Let her. She needs to see what has to be done during these times. I won't be around forever to take care of you, Ambrose," she said.
Ambrose sighed, relenting. "Alright, she can come. But you can't stay," he said.
I silently followed them to the cellar. Ambrose's face was grim, and so was Sylvia's. I've never seen Sylvia look so serious. It made me worried about what was to come
Will you be as stupid as Ana? xD
Analyn POV I was not prepared to see what I was about to see down there. Ambrose was crouched down on the floor on all fours. It broke my heart to see him look so vulnerable as he was drenched in sweat, panting like a dog. I stared at him in shock as I watched his eyes begin to change. His beautiful bright green eyes were changing into a different color. At first, I thought they were turning yellow, but they were glowing Amber. He had finally stopped screaming, but he was whimpering, letting me know that he was still in pain. I watched in horror as his face contorted and a long wolf's muzzle extended out in front of him. I could see his bones shifting inside his skin. It was as if there were giant ants crawling inside him.
Analyn POV I was taken aback by his harsh comment. "I am not an idiot." "Yes you are. I told you to stay upstairs, didn't I? So what the fuck were you thinking coming down here?" he said. His eyes were back to their normal state, but they were dark with anger. "I just...I wanted to be with you. You were all alone in this dark cellar and I wanted to comfort you," I said with a shaky voice. Why couldn't he understand how much I care about him? He came up to me and gripped my shoulders. "You wanted to comfort me? Are you fucking kidding me, Ana? That wasn't me last night. It was a monster who could've torn you to pieces. What if I attacked you, huh? What if I killed you?"
Ambrose POV Myheart plunged to my throat when I opened my eyes and saw her sleeping. My head was still on her lap. Whenever the blood moon rose, I woke up alone and in pain in this cold room with no memory of my transformation, but this time, it felt different. I woke up to her sweet scent and her soft breath on my face. Her lap was so soft and warm. I wanted to close my eyes and go back to sleep. I've never felt such comfort. But then I got angry. What if I had hurt her? I was nothing but a monster last night, so what if I woke up to her beautiful face torn to pieces? I couldn't live with myself then. So I lashed out at her and made her run away crying. I balled my hands into fists when I remembered her confessing to me. She said she loved me. But how could anyone love someone like me? I didn't understand. And why didn't I attack her? They say your mate would know how to tame you
Ambrose POV The drider let out a blood-curdling scream and jumped at us, but we jumped away in four different directions. ~We need to surround him so he would get confused about who to attack. So everyone stands where you are,~ I said after linking with them. All eight of his eyes moved in different directions. The drider raised his leg and brought it down at me. I bet he could sense that I was the leader of the group so he was targeting me first. Theodore jumped at the monster's leg and sank his teeth into it. The spider didn't take it too well and threw him across the room. Theodore's wolf flew off and hit the wall with a loud thud. Shit, he was too strong. I had to use more than my wolf's abilities. It was time to bring out the big guns. I roared and jumped on the creature's back. He was tall, but I could jump higher than the other wolves. The drider screeched and tried to shake me off as I bit into its disgusting s
Analyn POVMy head was in the clouds as Dave held me tightly. I felt like I was floating."Open your eyes, Ana," he said in a deep and calming voice. So I did.I gasped when I realized I really was floating. No, I was not floating. I was flying!"Wha...what..." I couldn't find the right words."You are missing out on the view. We are almost there," Dave said."Where? Are you seriously kidnapping me?" I said.My head was spinning. We were at least 5000 feet up in the air. If he drops me, I will turn into pudding. But I was back on the ground sooner than I expected, so I let out a sigh of relief. I stood in front of a mansion. Actually, it looked bigger than a mansion. It looked more like a castle. How rich was this guy?"Why did you bring me here?" I asked."This is my home. Do you like it?" Dave smirked."That's not what I asked, jerk!" I glared at him. I wanted to wipe that smug smi
Ambrose POV "Ambrose, sweetheart," Sylvia was rubbing my back to comfort me, but I was feeling lost and devastated. Ana was gone, and I had never felt so empty inside. That bastard disappeared with her right under my nose and I couldn't stop him. I felt like I was useless and it made me burn with rage. I need to find her before Dave hurts her. Or worse, make her fall in love with him. I've heard about Vampire's ability to charm humans and make them fall for them so they could use them as their blood servant. And after they drink the human's blood for a while, he or she could slowly whither away or go mad. I couldn't let that happen to Analyn. Analyn was mine. "I miss her." I sighed. There was no point in hiding it anymore. Without her, I felt incomplete. "Wherever she is, she is safe. I can feel it. And she is not as weak as you think. I bet she will escape at the first chance she gets," Sylvia said. Her words
Dave POVThis wasn't some kind of great love story.I didn't bring Analyn to spend the rest of our lives together because I fell in love with her.It was something different than love.It was an addiction. When I looked at her at that mall for the first time, I felt a rush of excitement. My entire body started to tingle, and I was overwhelmed by thirst. I knew it wasn't just an ordinary thirst for blood. It was meant specifically for her.I wanted to drink her blood only because I knew it would give me great ecstasy. And at the same time, I realized something else. She was no ordinary human being. Her scent was different than other human girls. She was not the first one I met who made my head spin.It happened back in the 1600s. The farmers in the village became wary of us when we killed too many people. They guarded their houses with stakes and silver bullets to keep us and werewolves away. So I decided to go
Analyn POVThere was no way I would sit around and wait for Dave to make his next move, so I decided to leave the bedroom as soon as Rosie left. I kept going in different rooms and tried to open each door and window. But they were all locked."Looking for something, Miss?" I turned around as I heard Rosie's voice."I just...I was looking for the kitchen," I mumbled.Rosie's lips curled into a small smile. "No, you weren't. You were trying to escape, weren't you?" she said.I sighed. "Gosh, no. Who wouldn't want to be a prisoner of the descendant of Count Dracula," I bit back with sarcasm?Rosie giggled. "You know, it's not that bad," she offered."What's not that bad?" I asked."Letting him drink from you. You won't feel a thing. Not even when his fangs pierce through your skin. It might sting a little at first but soon, there only be pleasure," Rosie went on."H...how do you know? Did he do that to you?
