Ambrose POV
My
heart plunged to my throat when I opened my eyes and saw her sleeping. My head was still on her lap.Whenever the blood moon rose, I woke up alone and in pain in this cold room with no memory of my transformation, but this time, it felt different.
I woke up to her sweet scent and her soft breath on my face. Her lap was so soft and warm. I wanted to close my eyes and go back to sleep. I've never felt such comfort.
But then I got angry.
What if I had hurt her? I was nothing but a monster last night, so what if I woke up to her beautiful face torn to pieces? I couldn't live with myself then. So I lashed out at her and made her run away crying.
I balled my hands into fists when I remembered her confessing to me. She said she loved me. But how could anyone love someone like me? I didn't understand.
And why didn't I attack her?
