Ambrose POV
After sending Ana to take a bath, I put on some pants and went to see Theodore. We needed to help me figure this out together. This was no ordinary creature, so we couldn't attack it head-on. We had to be extra careful.
"A giant spider creature?" Theo's eyes turned wide. "Are you trying to prank me? Because that doesn't sound like something real."
I shook my head in annoyance. "This is a serious matter. I have never seen anything like it. It was massive, and it was out for our blood. And I am a hundred percent positive that it killed my father."
"Shit, what do we do? How do you even kill something like that?" Theodore asked.
"We need to find out what kind of creature it is. Send someone to the record room and have them search the books left by our ancestors and see if there were any records of a creature like that. We need to understand how it acts and what kind of powers it has before planning our attack because we nee
Analyn POV Bipolar. That's what he is. One day he hates me. The other day he wanted to protect me. Why can't he make up his mind? These thoughts ran through my head as he kissed me all over my body. Seeming not to care that we were both dripping wet, he set me on the bed and hovered over me. Heat built inside me as he licked and kissed me. We had just got done making love in the tub, but he didn't care to stop, so now here we are. In the morning, I woke up feeling sad. I missed my old life with my father and my friends. I missed my old bedroom. My dad had called and texted me a few times, but it wasn't the same. "You miss your father, huh?" Sylvia said as she braided my hair. I gasped. "How did you know that?" I didn't tell her anything yet. "Call it my strong intuition. You are not a prisoner, sweetheart. You can go see him whenever you want to," she said. I knew that. Part of me held a
Analyn POV"ANA!"I flinched as Shirley screamed at my face and jumped on me to give me a hug. "I missed you!" I screamed back."I missed you too, and I'm so happy to see you, but why is there an extremely handsome man glaring at me from across the room?" Shirley asked and motioned toward Logan.Damn, I forgot Logan came with me."Um, this is Logan," I said."I am a Sentinel," he announced."I don't know what that means, but I'm Shirley," Shirley giggled and extended her hand.Logan looked at it and hesitated."I am not made of ice. You can touch me," Shirley said.Logan took her hand. His face twisted into a frown. What was his problem?"Mate," he whispered, looking straight into her eyes.Huh?"What?" Shirley was just as confused as me."Y...you are my mate," Logan said. He suddenly grabbed her face and smashed his lips on hers.Whoa! Consent, anyone?Sh
Ambrose POVI asked Theodore to research the creature, but I couldn't contain my curiosity, so I went to look myself. I was intrigued.I went inside the private library, where our ancestors kept old records of our history. Underneath the library, there was a vault, and it was where all of our secrets were stored. I was forbidden to enter the vault per my father, Alpha Marquise. But I was the Alpha now, so that means I could come in and go anywhere I pleased. Even the forbidden rooms.[Entering the forbidden room, you are a bad boy Ambrose.] my wolf suddenly commented.I rolled my eyes. "I am the new Alpha, so I can do whatever I want."[My, aren't you special?] he said.Sarcastic bastard. The vault was brightly lit. It smelled musty as no one had entered for a long time. I immediately looked at the ancient books that listed and explained different types of beasts. The kind of beasts humans thought were myths, b
Analyn POV "Look...you..." Ambrose started. "Dave," Dave corrected him. "Look, Dave. You are starting to piss me off. Why don't we settle this once and for all? Let's fight. How about I rip your heart out? Assuming that you have one," Ambrose said with a tight jaw. "You think I am afraid of a dog like you? I'm more curious to see what kind of powers you possess. Then maybe we get to decide who deserves the girl after," Dave said. He was smirking the whole time, not taking Ambrose seriously. What was happening? I never thought I'd have two guys fighting over me. Let alone a vampire and a werewolf. What kind of Hollywood bullshit is this! "Guys, this is ridiculous. Fighting over me is pointless because I'm married to Ambrose already. So just chill out, Dave. I don't even know you!" I said. As much as it intrigued me to watch a fight between a vampire and a werewolf, I knew I shouldn't let things escalate. "You do
Ambrose POV "Why are you two holding hands?" I asked after we came back to our home. Analyn's friend Shirley asked if she could stay with us a little longer, and for some reason, Logan was a little too eager to bring her back with us. So I met them back in the living room after putting some clothes on. It took me a while to get over my anger against those filthy vampires, but I was starting to feel calmer. I hated to admit it, but when Ana touched me earlier, it helped soothe my temper. I walked into the living room, and the first thing I noticed was Logan and Shirley. She was almost sitting on his lap, cuddling. What the hell was going on? I didn't even recall them meeting each other before. "Oh yea, about that. Shirley is my mate," Logan cleared his throat and said. Okay, I did not see that coming. I didn't want to be rude to the girl, so I linked with him. Logan must've lost it. He must like the girl, so he was making up th
Analyn POVI was running around inside a forest. It wasn't cold and dark as the one behind the packhouse. It was bright and cheerful. There were flowers everywhere. Beautiful, colorful flowers. I was happy."Come here, honey. I'll braid your hair," a woman's voice spoke.Sylvia? No, it didn't sound like Sylvia. This woman's voice was different. It had a softer tone to it. I found myself feeling drawn to that voice, but I couldn't see what she looked like. Then I felt her warm fingers running through my hair as she slowly braided it. I felt warmth. The kind of warmth I've never felt before."Mommy loves you," she whispered.Mommy? My mother was here? But I thought she was dead! But I didn't want to worry about that as I felt happiness overwhelm me. I was finally with my mother. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the warm and fuzzy feeling in my heart as she slowly brushed my hair. This must be what heaven felt
Ambrose POV"Where is Theo?" I asked as he was missing in action."I haven't seen him all day. He must be out there, checking the gate security. He said something about securing the premises better because of what's out there," Jaq said.I nodded. I ordered Theo to do that earlier. The monster didn't show any signs of branching out of the forest and coming into town, but it was still dangerous. He could come in and try to kill everyone once it decides that animal blood wasn't enough for him.And I still wanted revenge. An eye for an eye.Something else also had been bothering me since last night. I couldn't stop thinking about Ana. She screamed in her sleep, and I've never seen anyone be so terrified of a nightmare. Her entire body was shaking so violently that at first, I thought she was having a seizure. But then she avoided the subject as if it was some kind of big secret. I knew she lied to me. That dream meant something
Analyn POV I watched Ambrose. He looked like he was in a panic. He had mentioned the curse to me before, and I remembered him telling me how dangerous he became during that time. "I...I'll go down there. There are only four hours left until it happens," he said. "I'll come with you and help," Sylvia told him. "I am coming too," I said. "No!" Ambrose protested immediately. I felt a little hurt by it. Why was he trying to reject me again? "Why can't I come? I am your wife. I am coming with you," I insisted. Sylvia nodded. "Let her. She needs to see what has to be done during these times. I won't be around forever to take care of you, Ambrose," she said. Ambrose sighed, relenting. "Alright, she can come. But you can't stay," he said. I silently followed them to the cellar. Ambrose's face was grim, and so was Sylvia's. I've never seen Sylvia look so serious. It made me worried about what was to come
