Analyn POV
"Look...you..." Ambrose started.
"Dave," Dave corrected him.
"Look, Dave. You are starting to piss me off. Why don't we settle this once and for all? Let's fight. How about I rip your heart out? Assuming that you have one," Ambrose said with a tight jaw.
"You think I am afraid of a dog like you? I'm more curious to see what kind of powers you possess. Then maybe we get to decide who deserves the girl after," Dave said. He was smirking the whole time, not taking Ambrose seriously.
What was happening? I never thought I'd have two guys fighting over me. Let alone a vampire and a werewolf. What kind of Hollywood bullshit is this!
"Guys, this is ridiculous. Fighting over me is pointless because I'm married to Ambrose already. So just chill out, Dave. I don't even know you!" I said. As much as it intrigued me to watch a fight between a vampire and a werewolf, I knew I shouldn't let things escalate.
"You do
Ambrose POV "Why are you two holding hands?" I asked after we came back to our home. Analyn's friend Shirley asked if she could stay with us a little longer, and for some reason, Logan was a little too eager to bring her back with us. So I met them back in the living room after putting some clothes on. It took me a while to get over my anger against those filthy vampires, but I was starting to feel calmer. I hated to admit it, but when Ana touched me earlier, it helped soothe my temper. I walked into the living room, and the first thing I noticed was Logan and Shirley. She was almost sitting on his lap, cuddling. What the hell was going on? I didn't even recall them meeting each other before. "Oh yea, about that. Shirley is my mate," Logan cleared his throat and said. Okay, I did not see that coming. I didn't want to be rude to the girl, so I linked with him. Logan must've lost it. He must like the girl, so he was making up th
Analyn POVI was running around inside a forest. It wasn't cold and dark as the one behind the packhouse. It was bright and cheerful. There were flowers everywhere. Beautiful, colorful flowers. I was happy."Come here, honey. I'll braid your hair," a woman's voice spoke.Sylvia? No, it didn't sound like Sylvia. This woman's voice was different. It had a softer tone to it. I found myself feeling drawn to that voice, but I couldn't see what she looked like. Then I felt her warm fingers running through my hair as she slowly braided it. I felt warmth. The kind of warmth I've never felt before."Mommy loves you," she whispered.Mommy? My mother was here? But I thought she was dead! But I didn't want to worry about that as I felt happiness overwhelm me. I was finally with my mother. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the warm and fuzzy feeling in my heart as she slowly brushed my hair. This must be what heaven felt
Ambrose POV"Where is Theo?" I asked as he was missing in action."I haven't seen him all day. He must be out there, checking the gate security. He said something about securing the premises better because of what's out there," Jaq said.I nodded. I ordered Theo to do that earlier. The monster didn't show any signs of branching out of the forest and coming into town, but it was still dangerous. He could come in and try to kill everyone once it decides that animal blood wasn't enough for him.And I still wanted revenge. An eye for an eye.Something else also had been bothering me since last night. I couldn't stop thinking about Ana. She screamed in her sleep, and I've never seen anyone be so terrified of a nightmare. Her entire body was shaking so violently that at first, I thought she was having a seizure. But then she avoided the subject as if it was some kind of big secret. I knew she lied to me. That dream meant something
Analyn POV I watched Ambrose. He looked like he was in a panic. He had mentioned the curse to me before, and I remembered him telling me how dangerous he became during that time. "I...I'll go down there. There are only four hours left until it happens," he said. "I'll come with you and help," Sylvia told him. "I am coming too," I said. "No!" Ambrose protested immediately. I felt a little hurt by it. Why was he trying to reject me again? "Why can't I come? I am your wife. I am coming with you," I insisted. Sylvia nodded. "Let her. She needs to see what has to be done during these times. I won't be around forever to take care of you, Ambrose," she said. Ambrose sighed, relenting. "Alright, she can come. But you can't stay," he said. I silently followed them to the cellar. Ambrose's face was grim, and so was Sylvia's. I've never seen Sylvia look so serious. It made me worried about what was to come
Analyn POV I was not prepared to see what I was about to see down there. Ambrose was crouched down on the floor on all fours. It broke my heart to see him look so vulnerable as he was drenched in sweat, panting like a dog. I stared at him in shock as I watched his eyes begin to change. His beautiful bright green eyes were changing into a different color. At first, I thought they were turning yellow, but they were glowing Amber. He had finally stopped screaming, but he was whimpering, letting me know that he was still in pain. I watched in horror as his face contorted and a long wolf's muzzle extended out in front of him. I could see his bones shifting inside his skin. It was as if there were giant ants crawling inside him.
Analyn POV I was taken aback by his harsh comment. "I am not an idiot." "Yes you are. I told you to stay upstairs, didn't I? So what the fuck were you thinking coming down here?" he said. His eyes were back to their normal state, but they were dark with anger. "I just...I wanted to be with you. You were all alone in this dark cellar and I wanted to comfort you," I said with a shaky voice. Why couldn't he understand how much I care about him? He came up to me and gripped my shoulders. "You wanted to comfort me? Are you fucking kidding me, Ana? That wasn't me last night. It was a monster who could've torn you to pieces. What if I attacked you, huh? What if I killed you?"
Ambrose POV Myheart plunged to my throat when I opened my eyes and saw her sleeping. My head was still on her lap. Whenever the blood moon rose, I woke up alone and in pain in this cold room with no memory of my transformation, but this time, it felt different. I woke up to her sweet scent and her soft breath on my face. Her lap was so soft and warm. I wanted to close my eyes and go back to sleep. I've never felt such comfort. But then I got angry. What if I had hurt her? I was nothing but a monster last night, so what if I woke up to her beautiful face torn to pieces? I couldn't live with myself then. So I lashed out at her and made her run away crying. I balled my hands into fists when I remembered her confessing to me. She said she loved me. But how could anyone love someone like me? I didn't understand. And why didn't I attack her? They say your mate would know how to tame you
Ambrose POV The drider let out a blood-curdling scream and jumped at us, but we jumped away in four different directions. ~We need to surround him so he would get confused about who to attack. So everyone stands where you are,~ I said after linking with them. All eight of his eyes moved in different directions. The drider raised his leg and brought it down at me. I bet he could sense that I was the leader of the group so he was targeting me first. Theodore jumped at the monster's leg and sank his teeth into it. The spider didn't take it too well and threw him across the room. Theodore's wolf flew off and hit the wall with a loud thud. Shit, he was too strong. I had to use more than my wolf's abilities. It was time to bring out the big guns. I roared and jumped on the creature's back. He was tall, but I could jump higher than the other wolves. The drider screeched and tried to shake me off as I bit into its disgusting s
