Luckily, I walked right at the moment Sophia smacked Konrad's face, or things would've ended in disaster.

Konrad was standing in front of Sophia, jaw clenched, face reddened. Raw anger shot through him like an electric wave. I could feel his emotions, and right now, all he was feeling was rage. He wanted to crush Sophia, and I was surprised he was holding back. I didn't think he had that kind of self-control.

But his self-control was slipping---I could feel it. I needed to do something before he lashed out at Sophia.

"Konrad...she didn't mean it," I started.

Sophia's expression changed. I could see her anger was replaced by fear. She finally came to her senses and realized what she had done.

"You are going to pay for this, little runt," Konrad said in a slow and menacing tone. His eyes were bloodshot.

"Yo...you deserve... It. You killed my family and think it's one big joke? I want to do worse things to you than just a slap," Sophia cried out.

Konrad let out a roar
