It wasn't long before my wedding. One that I have been looking forward to for years even though I don't know my fiancé. Well, not personally, since, as the years have gone by, we have exchanged photos of what we look like.

So, every minute that passes, makes my anxiety grow to finally see the man that through pictures has made me fall in love and so, now I am going to fulfill my dream; to be his wife. For years I followed his triumphs and failures, worked hard to live up to him and at last, I will be his wife.

"You look beautiful, my dear."

"Thank you, Mr. Mayer. I'm glad to have someone by my side." I say excited to have a warm, knowing smile on this special day.

"Even though both of your parents aren't here, you should smile, this is an amazing day where you are finally going to get to meet and be happy as lord and lady of the pack."

"I hope you see it that way. Because seeing that he arrived yesterday and hasn't come to see me, it worries me, could it be that he doesn't like me the way I like him?"

The voice telling me that I am not good enough for a big wolf like my future husband, makes me feel bad, but the man who has helped me feel accompanied on this special day, places his hand on my chin and makes me lift my face to see him.

"I've heard that seeing the fiancé before the wedding is bad luck. That's most likely why he hasn't come here. After all, I imagine he wants to have good luck in his marriage."

The butler's response lifts my spirits and I smile just as excited as before because I'm marrying my prince charming, the one the moon chose for me. My perfect man.

But, a new doubt arises and this one disturbs my peace and destroys my joy.

"What if he wishes to marry me?"

"He must wish it, since he hastened the funeral of the late alpha, to come here."

"I would have wished Mr. Baumann to be here." I murmur mournfully "I would have liked him to see me being his daughter-in-law."

"He is present in your heart, now, don't think negative thoughts or you will ruin your beautiful makeup and fix that, it will delay your amazing wedding with Mr."

"Thank you, Mr. Mayer, for giving me the encouragement I need" I whisper trying to clear my mind of bad thoughts and focus on positive things, such as: marrying my muscular, wealthy, kind, and tender husband.

Excitement sweeps over me, and I try hard not to jump for joy. I really feel I am in a fairy tale where I am the princess and he, my Helmut, is my prince with claws.

"I do it with love, my little one. Now..."

Someone knocks on the door and enters without waiting for an answer. His rough appearance and war clothes, with marks all over his body, he appears respectfully greeting both of us. To then hand me a folder that I am unaware of its contents.

"What is this?" I ask confused not knowing what he wants me to do with a folder minutes before the wedding.

The man doesn't respond. It is as if he is mute, so, the butler receives the folder and checks to make sure there is no poison in it or anything that could hurt me. After all, I will be the wife of an awesome alpha.

"It's the marriage certificate, you just need to sign it" says the man with an accent from a town far away from the capital and I dismiss my thought of him being mute. He's just rude.

Confused, I walk over to the butler and confirm that Helmut's elegant signature is there. I take a deep breath because I think it's a bad joke and remembering to be polite, I speak:

"What is the meaning of this, do you wish to make a pre-wedding joke, is it some sort of tradition or something?"

"It's not a joke, Mr. Baumann sent this to you and told me not to leave until I signed it."

"Wow, this is really going too far with a joke" I mutter indignantly.

"It's not a joke."

The seriousness of the man, made me believe it wasn't a joke and that worried me, because where was my dream wedding? Where was my husband beaming? This is nothing to what I was promised.

"But why are you giving me this if our marriage hasn't even taken place yet? We haven't even been to church," I say trying not to look whimsical, but rational. Because his request lacked that.

"He gave you a reason with this and that was: be grateful that I accepted my father's order and don't bother with nonsense of a wedding when I don't even want you as a wife."

The words wanted to enter my mind, but, reluctant to have him break what I thought of my betrothed, I scolded his envoy.

"How insolent you are! My fiancé would never say something like that to me. he is polite, kind and not..." i was about to continue with all his virtues, but, the boy smiled as if mocking me "Are you laughing now?"

"I'm sorry, but, your imagination is very good, is that how you imagine the monster?"

"Monster?" I ask getting more and more confused.

"What's the matter, don't you know your husband's alias?" the man asks smiling and I take a deep breath so as not to lose my sanity.

"I'm not going to argue with you. I want to see him. Maybe if we meet, you can explain this to me."

"Things don't work like that."

"No, it doesn't work like that" I say showing the marriage certificate "The wedding is about to start and we have to go to the church."

"There's not going to be a wedding, you understand that, ma'am"

"Look, I understand about uncle's death, but how can they see me as his wife if I don't even have a ceremony to confirm it?"

"That's just what the gentleman wants. So, sign it."

"What if I don't?" I ask annoyed and the man pulls out a gun. The kind that is capable of killing even a vampire.

Annoyed, I sign the document and hand it to him, feeling angry at the smile I have caused that rude man.

"Sir wishes not to be associated with you." He says to then leave the room.

"No, he can't treat me like that."

"He also asked me to tell you not to try to approach the main castle. Because then, I would be treated as a stranger and strangers get killed."

"But, I'm his wife!" she shouted in frustration.

"That's why he's going to allow you to use the entire castle he's in and change it as you please in decoration, but that only this castle and the garden, is what you're allowed to use as his wife."

"You must be joking."

"That was the lord's order, I recommend that you keep this palace and only go to forbidden places, when the lord allows you to."

"You can't condemn me to live locked up!" I scream on the verge of madness. For that was what my husband was dragging me to with these prohibitions; insanity.

"This will be your home, he even sent them to change the name from the sky palace to the cold palace in your honor."

God, this is really over the top. I had been viciously swindled in every sense of the word and it had led me to have a husband so miserable that he wouldn't dare tell me all this in front of my face. God, where is the kind and polite man in the pictures?

But, I'm not going to let him do this to me, I'm not going to keep quiet.

"Where in the world is that an honor!" I scream about to turn into a wolf and rip my now husband's head off.

"She should be grateful, because he wanted to banish her. Now, if not, that's more, I'm out."

"This must be a fucking joke" I say walking back and forth in the splendid dress that the eldest Baumann, had sent to create for this day.

Refusing to accept that truth, I ran towards the exit, wishing I had an explanation for all this. But it was locked. So, I climb up to the roof, lifting my dress and preparing to fight for what I was promised and not given.

"Where are you going, miss?"

"Where do you think I'm going? I'm clearly going to talk to that bastard. I can't just stand here and wait for him to walk all over me like it's nothing."

Anger overcomes me and makes climbing the stairs not tire me, even if it is the highest tower of the castle, with my makeup smeared by tears that came out on their own and the veil of my wedding dress about to fall, I spot the man drinking alcohol hugging several women.

My anger increases and my body trembles on the verge of transforming, but the butler stands in front of me.

"Miss, you must calm down..."

"He has humiliated me, clearly I can't be calm."

Fifteen years laterThe world continued its course, my pack had been consolidated thanks to Ariana's contributions. Albert, today he was returning home after fourteen years studying at the academy. Although he always saw for special dates or the anniversary of his mother's death, this time his return was different, because he saw to stay.Ariana gave orders to her people, while I had become a gardener who kept the garden where Aitana rests beautiful. Although to be honest there is little I have to do, because the islanders take turns every few hours to take care of the flowers and bring new ones in honor of the woman who fought to the end.So, I am almost all the time exercising, answering Ariana's tough questions so my brain doesn't rust and going to medical checkups at the insistence of my children. But, today, I would not be the boring man in his monotonous routine, today I would see my son. That one who had succeeded in that academy that now had t

Everyone on the island begins to show their respect for Aitana, while I watch as everything we experience here passes like a few seconds in a trailer. Remembering how I despised her and she wanted to leave here, throwing herself out of a window, makes me realize how much we have changed.Because it is in this place where she wanted to escape from, where she now wants to be forever. One by one they leave, leaving only Cleotilde's family and my closest men, those who knew our story. The night arrives and the castles are illuminated, at Aitana's request, we enter the one that was my castle, where the memories of my mistakes slap me so hard that I find it complicated to continue, however, a warm hand is placed on my hand and invites me to continue."Collect all the pain in here, I want to take it with me." Aitana says and I swallow hard."Aitana...""I am an expert in bearing pain, let me pick up all that pain clinging to those memories, I will take them with me

Six months laterWe had spent the time the doctors had given Aitana and although I wish that was the sign that they had made a mistake with the diagnosis, that was not the case. She had gotten much worse. So much that it hurt. There were times when she didn't remember who she was, others, where she didn't know how to move and at some, she would become so violent as she screamed for them to end her life. She would vomit, many times she would soil herself because she couldn't even warn them.Other times, she would wake up not knowing how to talk and with each step, her brain cancer would take over so much that we had to put the videos and photos we had taken on each walk, because many times she was suspicious even of the children.Today, for example, she did not speak, she did not move, it seemed that she was in a vegetable state, but, it was because her brain was barely functioning, being invaded by a tumor that looked like something full of spikes that were even

We had to let go and I was glad that even remembering all that we had lived and not remembering how well we had spent these months traveling, she decided to move forward. I couldn't say that I decided without knowing what I was doing, because Aitana knew it and I was glad she didn't hold a grudge."I want to leave here. I want us to resume our family trip today" Aitana says and I try to process what's going on."I understand, we will be leaving today" I say trying to get up."Although I don't remember what happened these past few months, there are pictures that give me an idea of it. Also, a few days ago, I had started to write down my thoughts of what I had experienced and although I left a general idea of what I had experienced, I know that I have enjoyed it. That we have been happy" says Aitana and I nod."We really have been. Even though we have measured time, we've spent time being happy the four of us." I murmur and she holds out her hand, which I take.

I could not understand what was going on. The woman who had been hostile when I asked her to come back, was now kissing me. I didn't understand what was going on and although I wanted to kiss her, I pulled away feeling that I was taking advantage of her confusion."Is something wrong?" asks Aitana and I stick closer to the back of my seat, to be away from her."I don't want you because of your mental confusion to feel like I'm taking advantage of you by kissing you" I say and she smiles."I'm the one who started the kiss.""But, I have my memories and I know you didn't agree to come back with me before the surgery or after you didn't have all your memories of the past like you do now." I murmur and she smiles."You are so cautious now. You don't look like the man who kissed me on our wedding day, just because I had another man's scent near me" she murmurs.I immediately, blush for having been so bold knowing I had a curse that could have killed he

  • The Alpha Billionaire's Ex-Wife   Chapter 181: Petition for Oblivion

The following dayWe had not been able to leave Amsterdam as we had planned, because Aitana was still not awake. Fortunately, the doctors said it was exhaustion that had her sleeping and not something serious.Exhausted from almost no sleep, thinking that she would wake up, I go out to have some coffee and with the computer working on the door of her room, I wait for the hours to pass. However, I have barely managed to sit up in the chair, when I hear a groan.Fearing that something bad has happened in my absence, I open the door to the room, which makes my legs weaken. The woman, who had not woken up, moans slightly as she tries to get up."I'll help you" I say running to her.Gingerly, I help her to sit up and I stand watching her, waiting for a scolding for allowing her to fall, an apology for scaring us or anything. I don't care if it's an insult, what matters to me, is that she speaks. That she tells my mind that she's alive. Because just seeing he
