"Stay there, Princess." Soldier Paulus showed me my temporary room. Standing outside while the door was open, I turned my gaze around the room and I can't deny its fascinating sight. It looks like a royalty's room!
"Why here?" I asked the Soldier. I am aware of the mission given to me by the Prince but I don't deserve this kind of treatment! Why do I have to stay in this beautiful room? I am not an alien like them! Shouldn't I be with the people outside?
"The Prince wanted you to do your best to find his future bride. By giving you this fancy room, he knows you will be motivated to do what you're told. The Prince also promised to give you a special space in Quadrolien once you've done your mission." He didn't lay his eyes on me and remained firm in facing his front. I stood beside him, watching the side of his body. I saw how his jaw clenched. The curl of his eyelashes, his jawline and his pointed nose, I can clearly see his perfection from my point of view.
He has explained what Quadrolien is. That's the name of their planet. If they were to travel from their planet to Earth, it would take million years if they were to use with just the normal speed of their spaceship. However, they were able to travel fast in a blink of an eye because of the power that the Queen possess. Each of the royal-blooded aliens have special abilities. Each possess multiple abilities, and one of the Queen's ability is to teleport things, including herself. In just a second, she can arrive to a certain place where she wanted to go. I got a little confused. If she has the power to move to a place she desire, why don't she teleport to where the Princess is?
And this is the Soldier's response.
"The royal-blooded aliens are unpredictable. No one knew how many abilities each one of them possess. No one knew how their powers work. They have limitations, but we can't deny how powerful they are. They aren't the type of aliens who talks about their abilities. They themselves can answer your questions."
I went back to the current situation and formed my hands into fists. My face went from confused to blank. I felt my entire body started to feel weaken. I was fascinated by the sight of the room, I almost got blinded by its beauty. I almost fell into their trap. I almost gave up humanity for their offer.
I turned my back on him. But just as I was about to take a step, he stopped me by grabbing my wrist.
"Where are you going? Don't you like the room?" He worriedly asked. I clicked my tongue and sharply laid my eyes on him.
"Don't make a fool out of me, alien! I'm not someone who easily gets fallen into anyone's trap!"
His forehead knotted, and confusion marks his face. Clearly he doesn't understand what I mean. But I kept a firm blank face. I have no plan of making him understand.
"What trap? Who told you-"
I didn't let him finish. "Let me go, alien!"
He was surprised, and slowly, removed his hand from its contact with my wrist.
I turned my back on him.
"I'll be staying with my fellow people. I won't let myself be comfortable here while they suffer outside. I'll still do my task, whether you offer me a fancy room or not." And I left him speechless.
I took a deep breath the moment I stood before the gigantic spaceship's door. Two soldiers were waiting for my signal on when they will be opening it for me to go outside. But I am still preparing myself for a disastrous sight. I may not be able to handle my emotions when I see my fellow humans. I hated to see them suffer.
I looked at the soldiers' numbers and they are numbers 16 and 17.
"You guys are humans just like me, aren't you?" I asked as I held my chest. I suddenly felt it tightened. The looks on their faces were unexplainable. All I can say is, they don't like where they are.
"We are not supposed to answer questions from you. Order from the royal-blooded aliens." Number 16 coldly said as he remained his eyes on his fellow soldier. They didn't even tried to look at me.
"Well, then. You guys are my fellow humans. It isn't a question. Now all you have to do is to say yes if I'm right, and no if I'm wrong." I calmly stated. The royal-blooded aliens aren't smart enough.
"We aren't supposed to tell anything about us. Order from the royal-blooded aliens." Number 17 stated. Just like number 16, he remained his eyes laid on his fellow soldier.
I felt something fell from my eyes. Oh no, am I crying again?
"Open the door." I stated and fixed my posture. The moment they opened the door, I stepped out without any other words as tears continuously fell down my cheeks. They closed it back again so I fell down on my knees, letting all my emotions out. I silently cried as I kept on holding my chest. It hurts. It hurts so much like it's already crushing my heart. Why do I have to be so vulnerable? I was never like this. I never cared about other people, I don't care about what they are doing, not even their lives! I never really cared about other humans before. But now...
I heard a sound of a gun coming from the wide area where the humans are so I immediately wiped my tears away and stood up. What in the world is happening now?
I turned my gaze around the area where most of the people are. It's kinda dark, and there are only less lights here. Darkness is dominant. But I can still see those number of people staying in the field and soldiers surrounding them.
Continuous shots were heard so I panicked. I ran to where the people are. A thought came into my mind. Are the soldiers killing the people?
The gunshots stopped when a light suddenly brightens up the area. I intentionally stopped when I noticed something different. The light appeared right above us, so big and bright. I closed my eyes and blocked it with my palm for it almost blinded me because of its amount of brightness. When the light lowers brightness, I opened my eyes slowly. I can now see everything clearly.
In front of me were people still sitting on the ground. But I noticed that there are some holding bodies like they're unconscious. I gasped when I saw blood stains on those bodies. A lot of people were dead, but majority are still alive. I turned my gaze around and the soldiers were pointing their weapons on everyone.
"What are you doing?! Drop your weapons NOW!!!" I shouted at them. But they ignored me. I ran towards one of them, who has a number 1 embedded on the right chest of his armor.
"You-" My eyes widened when he moved his weapon, pointing it directly at me. My feet stuck on the ground, my body started to tremble in fear.
"Move a step again and I'll shoot." He threatened. His eyes were blank and emotionless. He looked young, and probably the same age as me. From his stance and poise, he seemed to have been so familiar with guns. He looked calm, serious and focused.
"Number 1..." A familiar voice spoke from behind me. I can tell who he is just from his voice. I know it's him.
"Point down your weapon." The Prince commanded and number 1 immediately do what he was told.
I gritted my teeth and faced the Prince. He was showing a smirk on his face like he just finds this amusing.
"Human..." He put back on a cold and emotionless face. "What are you still doing here? You're supposed to be in your room right now."
"Concern?" I immediately threw sarcasm at him. He scoffed.
"Fool. Get back to your room now." His voice was commanding.
"I won't. I'll stay where my fellow humans are, whether you agree or not. You don't have a right to boss me around. You're just a prince in the alien race, but never in the human race." I calmly stated. Everything that comes out of my mouth were what's hidden in my heart. And I'm just letting it out, without even realizing that one wrong word may end my life.
"You're testing my patience, human." He stated. My forehead creased when he raised his hand and pointed something above us. I suddenly felt hot. Seconds later, beads of sweat started to form on my skin. I noticed I am not the only one feeling the hotness, everyone else do, even the soldiers, except for the Prince. I sharply glared at him when he puts on a smile of smugness.
"You want to see everyone suffer, including you, human?"
I heard groans and pains. I started to suffer as well because of the heat that the Prince caused. Is this one of his powers?
There's nothing I can do but to follow him. I went back inside the gigantic spaceship without even knowing the truth behind the shooting. I am afraid of what the aliens can still do.
How can I accomplish my plan in the restoration of our planet if the royal-blooded aliens possess insane power which can even possibly erase humanity in just a snap?
I stopped when I saw Soldier Paulus waiting outside the room. He was leaning his back against a wall with his head looking down. When he noticed me, he immediately looked up and his eyes widened. He walked towards me and a smile formed on his lips. "So you really can't refuse the offer to stay in this-""Stupid. Your Prince forced me." I cut him off and passed by him. I was about to open the door when..."Princess." I can tell how serious he is just from the way he speaks my name. I didn't face him, instead, I waited for him to speak again."You are the only one the humanity can rely on." He seriously stated. I didn't understand him. Why me? Is it because I met the Princess they've been looking for?I sighed. Without facing him, I spoke. "Why didn't you take the princess when you had the chance? Why did you take me instead? You knew I was talking with Princess Aries, right?"Seconds have passed but I didn't get any response from him. Is he going to ignore me? What a disrespectful ali
The second day of our search was still no luck. We haven't found anyone yet. How can we find the princess if we can't even find a single human being who are still free from the aliens? "Sis?" My eyes widened when I heard Adam's voice. I immediately looked back to him and ran towards him. I hugged him tightly like I just saw him after 10 years. "Are you okay? Did the queen hurt you? Are you injured? Any bruises?" I scanned his body. There's a fear embedded in me and if I saw anything not normal in Adam's body, I would probably freak out or worse, lose consciousness."Sis, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Adam said so I stared in his eyes. He doesn't seem to be lying. Did he found himself comfortable with the Queen? Is she spoiling my brother?"Why are you gaining weight, Adam?" I noticed he's getting a little fat. His cheeks became chubby so I pinched them."Stop it, sis! It hurts! Of course the Queen offered me lots of food. Foods I have never tasted in my entire life! They're so de
"Are you really okay?" I worriedly asked Soldier as we continued our search. He smiled, giving me a reassurance. I just felt bad for him. He doesn't deserve to be hurt. "Aliens aren't vulnerable, Princess. You don't have to worry about me." I avoided my gaze. Even so, aliens have feelings too. They get hurt, I know that. While we continued strolling around, I heard someone crying from a distance away from us. It sounded like a kid crying. I tried to look for the kid and listened carefully so I could track where the voice is coming from."That sound, it's annoying. Can I look for it and kill it with my sword?" The Soldier draw out his sword."What the-? Hey, don't you dare do that!" I stopped him."But-""No buts, Soldier!" I cut him off and he put back his sword. I continued on following the crying sound and when I finally get closer to where it is, I got more determined to find the kid. I felt relief when I finally found her inside an abandoned building. I walked towards her and sh
Yesterday was a busy day. Who would have thought that my little brother and I would get such profit we never had before? It was tiring but it's all worth it. We can finally get much food and other things for our needs.I am in the supermarket with my little brother to buy vegetables. Mother had other things to do so it's just the two of us who'll be taking care of the household."Sis, I would love another kind of dish. Why don't we try meat?" Adam, my little brother, suggested. But I gave him a stern look and told him that a kilo of meat is expensive. So we ended up buying just vegetables and some canned goods. We were about to leave the supermarket when I heard something from the news on tv. My mind would love to leave and ignore it but my body won't cooperate. I stopped and watched the tv. There I saw news regarding UFO's or something they would call the unidentified flying object. This isn't just the first time that this kind of news were on headlines. Rumors were already spreadi
I slowly opened my eyes when I felt my stomach grumbling. I looked to my side and there I saw Adam laying down beside me, still fast asleep. I can't help but feel soften as I stare at him who's so innocent. Although sometimes he might be annoying, after all, he is my brother and anyone would still look at their family with love no matter how stubborn they could be. I looked around and noticed that the surrounding's getting darker. Was it already night time? I never thought I'd fall asleep for a longer time during day time. I'm not even the type to sleep during the day, that was, when I started to grow up.I rubbed my hands against my stomach. I'm hungry I wanted to look for some food to eat. Probably my brother would feel hungry too the moment he wakes up so I should prepare food for the both of us.I noticed the tears on my face were dry. It was because I kept on crying until I fell asleep. I remembered the moment earlier and how mom sacrificed herself for us. Now that I remembered i
"Soldier, kill her." The Prince once again commanded, making the soldier draw out his sword. The soldier stared at me in the eyes with no emotion. My heart is racing with nervousness. This time, I only think of my mother and my brother. I won't be able to see them once again. The soldier pointed his sword on my face, its pointed end almost touch the tip of my nose. "Forgive me, Earthling. The Prince has spoken and I must keep my word." My forehead knotted. Why does he have to apologize? Aren't aliens supposed to be heartless? He shouldn't have apologized. He couldn't have apologized to every single being he has killed. He remained with his emotionless face so I can't read his mind. Even though no matter how much I wanted to know what he is thinking, I cannot unless he tells me. What I should worry right now is my own life and how I can escape from this fate."Your Highness!"Suddenly, the door was slammed open, interrupting the moment. A group of soldiers went in and bowed in front
"ADAM!" I called my brother's name and he looked to my direction with his eyes widened."S-sis? Sister-!" He was about to ran to where I am when the Queen stopped him by holding his garment. The Queen glared at me. "Let him go! Please!" I begged her. "So you're his sister? Pathetic." The Queen smirked and shifted her gaze on the soldiers. "Kill her!!!"My eyes widened when the Queen ordered the soldiers to kill me. Three of them went towards me with weapons in their hands. They are soldiers numbers 92, 93 and 94. I won't let them kill me. I still have things to do here. I still need to find my mother, I still need to bring Adam to somewhere safe. "ADAM!!" I ran towards him. Confusion marks the face of the royal-blooded aliens as they see me coming towards them. I don't know what's going to happen to me. They might order the soldiers to shoot me dead. But my only priority is to get to my brother. I don't care what happens next."Shoot her!!! Don't let her get near us!!" The Queen or
