"Soldier, kill her." The Prince once again commanded, making the soldier draw out his sword. The soldier stared at me in the eyes with no emotion. My heart is racing with nervousness. This time, I only think of my mother and my brother. I won't be able to see them once again.
The soldier pointed his sword on my face, its pointed end almost touch the tip of my nose.
"Forgive me, Earthling. The Prince has spoken and I must keep my word." My forehead knotted. Why does he have to apologize? Aren't aliens supposed to be heartless? He shouldn't have apologized. He couldn't have apologized to every single being he has killed.
He remained with his emotionless face so I can't read his mind. Even though no matter how much I wanted to know what he is thinking, I cannot unless he tells me. What I should worry right now is my own life and how I can escape from this fate.
"Your Highness!"
Suddenly, the door was slammed open, interrupting the moment. A group of soldiers went in and bowed in front of the prince. I shifted my gaze to the prince and he looked so mad.
"Your Highness, Her Majesty wanted to see you at the back." One of the soldiers reported without lifting his head up.
"Do you know what's happening here, number 4?" The Prince coldly asked. Each one of the soldiers have numbers embedded on the right chest of their armors. The numbers probably signifies their names. Who would have thought their names would be numbers? But how about this one soldier here?
I shifted my gaze on the soldier who, until now, has his sword pointed on me. His attention was on the prince so there's a chance that he might forget the sword and might even move it accidentally and hit me.
"Forgive me for interrupting, Your Highness. But Her Majesty-"
"Is that still a reason for you to barge in without my permission?" The Prince's voice is so calm but intimidating.
"My apologies, Your Highness." Number 4 stated.
"Soldier..." The Prince called.
"Yes, My Prince?" The soldier moved his sword away from me and walked towards the prince.
"You know what to do..."
I don't know but I suddenly felt uneasy the moment the prince said that. The soldier pointed his sword on number 4. Everything happened so fast and I just realized, number 4 ended up lying on the floor, lifeless.
I immediately covered my mouth in surprise. I just witnessed a crime, and I didn't do anything to stop it from happening. I was too stunned to speak, I can't even move myself. I am too afraid to move, I am too afraid to speak. I felt something fell from my eyes. Tears. I noticed I'm shaking. I felt like I'm gonna pee anytime now. What am I supposed to do now?
The other soldiers were too stunned to speak as well. I noticed them trembling and shaking but they chose to remain where they are, still with their heads bowed. I formed my hands into fists. Aliens indeed are heartless! How could they do this to their own race?
"Number 4 is gone. You should replace a new head soldier. Do you understand?" The Prince calmly stated. I can't take this. This kind of prince deserves some discipline! He needs to be taught some lesson! And he called himself the Prince? How could he just kill his fellow aliens? His reason's not even valid! Too childish! Too low! Too unacceptable!
The soldiers left the place bringing number 4's lifeless body. The Prince told them to bury him to somewhere far away. He stood up from his seat and looked to where I am. His blue eyes are annoying the hell out of me!
I wiped my tears dry and glared at him. Now, is he gonna kill me next?
"Soldier, bring the human to where the others are." He told the soldier and went outside the place first. The soldier walked towards me and dragged me out. What did they say? To where the others are? Does that mean, my fellow humans are still alive?
My eyes widened the moment we stepped outside the said place. I thought we're on their planet! This is still Earth and we were just inside a gigantic spaceship. I turned my gaze around and there I saw everyone else. They're all sitting on the ground, a single group. They're too many and there are soldiers surrounding them, with weapons in their hands. Did aliens turn humans into their hostages?
"Join them, Earthling!" The soldier who was dragging me pushed me to where the others are. The people are too many, I can't find my mother. Who knows, even Adam could be here. Where are they?
I heard weeping, crying, sobbing. The people are suffering. I stood up and turned my gaze around, everyone looked so exhausted, they really looked like hostages. My eyes widened when I noticed something else. I smell blood. I smell something dead. I noticed some bodies lying on the ground. There are... dead people?
"Lady, sit down or they'll shoot you!" An old woman sitting beside me warned. She looked so tired and pale. Dirt all over her clothing and body. I sat down. Soldiers are too many and they are surrounding us. They have guns and swords. I can't believe this.
"Humans, stand up and bow before the presence of the royal-blooded King, Queen and Prince of Planet Quadrolien!" A certain female voice spoke. I don't know where she is but I think she spoke through some sort of a medium. Everyone here immediately stood up and bowed before them. I gritted my teeth before I stood up as well and bowed. I hate to do this, but I have no other choice. For now, I should go with the flow until I finally see my family again.
I noticed everyone's lifting their heads and so I did too. The King has long hair and a beard. He looked so fierce and terrifying. His appearance enough can scare anyone. The Queen looked so serious, beautiful, but intimidating as well. I already saw the Prince and even heard his voice but seeing him now standing in the middle together with his parents, he's gotten ten times terrifying than before. These royal-blooded aliens are the reason why this is happening right now. They started this invasion. They started everything. And they will pay for all of this.
"We have started naming each one of you. Expect for a next batch of workers and soldiers!" The Queen spoke. My forehead knotted. What does she mean? We humans are expected to work for the aliens? To be their workers and soldiers? I realized something. My teeth gritted and my hands were formed into fists.
Does that mean... Number 4 was a human? He wasn't an alien, that's why it was easy for the soldier to kill him. He was named number 4 by these bunch of heartless creatures and he was killed because of a nonsense reason! I failed to protect a fellow human being who was killed in front of my very eyes.
I bit my lower lip. I suddenly tasted a blood because of how hard I bit it. I wanna kill these creatures. I wanna crush them with my own hands. I wanna-
"I wanna let you meet my newly adopted toy, humans! If he is your family, too bad, not anymore. He's mine now and he will become one of us!" The Queen said. I held my chest when I saw someone familiar calmly walking towards the Queen. He stood beside her and faced all of us.
"ADAM?!!!"
"ADAM!" I called my brother's name and he looked to my direction with his eyes widened."S-sis? Sister-!" He was about to ran to where I am when the Queen stopped him by holding his garment. The Queen glared at me. "Let him go! Please!" I begged her. "So you're his sister? Pathetic." The Queen smirked and shifted her gaze on the soldiers. "Kill her!!!"My eyes widened when the Queen ordered the soldiers to kill me. Three of them went towards me with weapons in their hands. They are soldiers numbers 92, 93 and 94. I won't let them kill me. I still have things to do here. I still need to find my mother, I still need to bring Adam to somewhere safe. "ADAM!!" I ran towards him. Confusion marks the face of the royal-blooded aliens as they see me coming towards them. I don't know what's going to happen to me. They might order the soldiers to shoot me dead. But my only priority is to get to my brother. I don't care what happens next."Shoot her!!! Don't let her get near us!!" The Queen or
"Stay there, Princess." Soldier Paulus showed me my temporary room. Standing outside while the door was open, I turned my gaze around the room and I can't deny its fascinating sight. It looks like a royalty's room! "Why here?" I asked the Soldier. I am aware of the mission given to me by the Prince but I don't deserve this kind of treatment! Why do I have to stay in this beautiful room? I am not an alien like them! Shouldn't I be with the people outside? "The Prince wanted you to do your best to find his future bride. By giving you this fancy room, he knows you will be motivated to do what you're told. The Prince also promised to give you a special space in Quadrolien once you've done your mission." He didn't lay his eyes on me and remained firm in facing his front. I stood beside him, watching the side of his body. I saw how his jaw clenched. The curl of his eyelashes, his jawline and his pointed nose, I can clearly see his perfection from my point of view. He has explained what Q
I stopped when I saw Soldier Paulus waiting outside the room. He was leaning his back against a wall with his head looking down. When he noticed me, he immediately looked up and his eyes widened. He walked towards me and a smile formed on his lips. "So you really can't refuse the offer to stay in this-""Stupid. Your Prince forced me." I cut him off and passed by him. I was about to open the door when..."Princess." I can tell how serious he is just from the way he speaks my name. I didn't face him, instead, I waited for him to speak again."You are the only one the humanity can rely on." He seriously stated. I didn't understand him. Why me? Is it because I met the Princess they've been looking for?I sighed. Without facing him, I spoke. "Why didn't you take the princess when you had the chance? Why did you take me instead? You knew I was talking with Princess Aries, right?"Seconds have passed but I didn't get any response from him. Is he going to ignore me? What a disrespectful ali
The second day of our search was still no luck. We haven't found anyone yet. How can we find the princess if we can't even find a single human being who are still free from the aliens? "Sis?" My eyes widened when I heard Adam's voice. I immediately looked back to him and ran towards him. I hugged him tightly like I just saw him after 10 years. "Are you okay? Did the queen hurt you? Are you injured? Any bruises?" I scanned his body. There's a fear embedded in me and if I saw anything not normal in Adam's body, I would probably freak out or worse, lose consciousness."Sis, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Adam said so I stared in his eyes. He doesn't seem to be lying. Did he found himself comfortable with the Queen? Is she spoiling my brother?"Why are you gaining weight, Adam?" I noticed he's getting a little fat. His cheeks became chubby so I pinched them."Stop it, sis! It hurts! Of course the Queen offered me lots of food. Foods I have never tasted in my entire life! They're so de
"Are you really okay?" I worriedly asked Soldier as we continued our search. He smiled, giving me a reassurance. I just felt bad for him. He doesn't deserve to be hurt. "Aliens aren't vulnerable, Princess. You don't have to worry about me." I avoided my gaze. Even so, aliens have feelings too. They get hurt, I know that. While we continued strolling around, I heard someone crying from a distance away from us. It sounded like a kid crying. I tried to look for the kid and listened carefully so I could track where the voice is coming from."That sound, it's annoying. Can I look for it and kill it with my sword?" The Soldier draw out his sword."What the-? Hey, don't you dare do that!" I stopped him."But-""No buts, Soldier!" I cut him off and he put back his sword. I continued on following the crying sound and when I finally get closer to where it is, I got more determined to find the kid. I felt relief when I finally found her inside an abandoned building. I walked towards her and sh
Yesterday was a busy day. Who would have thought that my little brother and I would get such profit we never had before? It was tiring but it's all worth it. We can finally get much food and other things for our needs.I am in the supermarket with my little brother to buy vegetables. Mother had other things to do so it's just the two of us who'll be taking care of the household."Sis, I would love another kind of dish. Why don't we try meat?" Adam, my little brother, suggested. But I gave him a stern look and told him that a kilo of meat is expensive. So we ended up buying just vegetables and some canned goods. We were about to leave the supermarket when I heard something from the news on tv. My mind would love to leave and ignore it but my body won't cooperate. I stopped and watched the tv. I slowly opened my eyes when I felt my stomach grumbling. I looked to my side and there I saw Adam laying down beside me, still fast asleep. I can't help but feel soften as I stare at him who's so innocent. I looked around and noticed that the surrounding's getting darker. Was it already night time? I never thought I'd fall asleep for a longer time during day time. I'm not even the type to sleep during the day, that was, when I started to grow up.I rubbed my hands against my stomach. I'm hungry I wanted to look for some food to eat.
