PART TWO

Two hundred years later...

Luther woke up from his long night of rest. He slowly rose from his lying position and stretched his arm, yawning widely.

He was now the king of the Enu realm; had been for quite some time. His father died a hundred years ago, automatically passing the mantle unto him. For some reason, before he died he was hesitant to give Luther his crown, but fate had other plans.

He slowly stood from his bed, adorned in only silk robes. He had a wild night to himself, lost in the ecstasy of his wine, and in preparation for what was to happen in the next few days;

His sacrifice.

One had to wonder about the source of his immortality. It was something be came across by luck.

It all happened when he was going on a journey across realms. Just a few weeks after killing his brother Stev, he decided to take a few weeks off to rid his mind of the image of Glovia stabbing herself. He headed straight for the Zruch realm because he had a mild interest in their use of magic

Gianna didn't know when exactly her life took a turn for the worst. Growing up in the lower level of the Enu realm, she had to fight her way through most situations, just so she could survive. Though she didn't like it, it was the only life she had ever known. Most of the people of the lower realm did jobs that were lower than animals. But in other to survive, they had no choice but to do it. A few of them had been able to make it out of the lower level to the middle level, and even some rare ones land in the upper level. Stories like that though, to the remaining people left in the lower level, were all myths. They'd rather continue at what they do than delude themselves that any of them would ever be able to make it out of that place. Gianna on the other hand held unto that hope. Though she didn't express it as much as she wished, she had always believed that one day, she would leave the lower level. She worked hard, saving whatever little she could to ensure that one day she would

Gianna's eyes widened in surprise. The last thing she expected was to be given a job in the castle of the supreme lord, and as his servant at that."My Lord," she exclaimed, speechless. "I know you are surprised, but something tells me you would do a good job." Luther declared. He watched her closely, studying her expression.Gianna couldn't help but hesitate. She didn't know why he suddenly wanted her to work for him, and even if it was for a good reason, she had no training whatsoever when it came to the castle."My Lord, I have no training to work for you. I am so beneath you to even stand next to you.""And I have decided to elevate your status." Luther cut in. Gianna simply started at him, curiosity and shock shining through her eyes. "I advise you to make up your mind quickly. I do not have time to spare."Gianna thought fast, going through all the pros and cons of this agreement. Was it fair for her not to die along with her husband? But then also, wouldn't that make his death

Weeks had passed since Gianna started working for Lord Luther. For some strange reason, she found that ever since the day he had commanded her not to step out of his room, he had become much more beautiful. That had to be impossible because one couldn’t get that handsome overnight. She remembered the rumours she heard about him while she was still in her husband's house. Lord Luther was rumoured to have been practising black magic arts. Gianna never knew that there was another form of magic called black magic, and it was understandable as the lower level of the realm lacked serious information about many things. She learnt that there was a realm outside of theirs that practised only black magic. Some people speculated that he must have gone to the realm, and perhaps must have learnt a few of their tricks which caused him to be the most powerful in his realm. The more Gianna stayed with Luther though, the more she found it hard to believe that Luther was that type of man. Yes, he could

"Go ahead then. Dress up first, then return. Let me take a good look at you before you leave."Happily, Gianna bowed her head and then walked out of the bathroom, heading straight to the small chest that Luther gave her, which held all the gifts he had bought for her. She brought out a light green gown, which matched the colour of the forest, and quickly put it on, making sure that her wings had carefully passed through the slit at the back. When she was done, she took out a small mirror and looked at herself. Smiling, she gave herself a curt nod and then returned to the bathroom. She found Luther resting his head atop the tiled floor, with the rest of his body still immersed inside the water."My Lord," she called out. "I have returned."Luther slowly opened his eyes, and then turned to look at her. He stared at her intensely, causing colour to rise to her cheeks. "My Lord, do I look okay?" Of course, she looked okay, Luther thought. She looked too okay. His possessive nature had o

Gianna returned to prince Luther's chambers. The discussion she overhead had left her with more questions, and they had dampened her mood toward exploring the realm. If what those women discussed were true, then she would have to do something about it. It wasn't that she didn't admire Lord Luther– which she did, extremely– but that she didn't see herself in any other form of relationship with him except Master and servant. She had just lost her husband not too long ago, and thinking about any other man would almost feel like she was cheating on him.She stood in front of Lord Luther's chambers. Taking a deep breath, she pushed open the doors and walked inside. She found lord Luther laying on his bed elegantly, his head resting atop his raised arm as he slowly went through scrolls. He looked up at her as she entered, sat up, and then folded the scroll he was reading."You returned early."She bowed to him in greeting. "Thank you so much again. I had a nice time."Luther nodded his he

Gianna placed her hands over her tummy, gently caressing it. If she was pregnant, then she had a very big problem. Lord Luther must never find out. She didn't know what he would do to her if he found out that she carried a child for a man he doesn't know about. But then again, she thought, it's not as if she could hide the pregnancy forever. A time would come, and she would have no choice but to tell him the truth. She sighed, getting up from the floor. She would have to start preparing for that situation then. But as of now, she couldn't tell him anything. Gianna walked back to the chamber and went straight to her bed. She laid down on it, deep in thoughts. It was times like this that made her wish she had a female friend. She had a few she could call friends back when Micheal was still alive, but when her husband's business began to go down in ruins, so many of them didn't want to associate with her. She was exceptionally sad about that, but then, there was nothing she could do.Sh

  • The Abomination   Chapter Twenty One: Her First Friend...

Gianna resumed work the next day. She had mapped out how the decorations were to be carried out and had instructed the maids on what they should do. Luther had permitted her to walk around the castle to gain a better view of what should be done. She had woken up early that day in anticipation of the job. Not only would she be able to plan for a ball, but she would also be able to walk around the halls of the castle. Gianna had worn a purple dress that had sequin embroidered on it, and had tied her hair up into a simple hairdo. Luther took one look at her and smiled proudly, causing her to blush. Together they went to his office and immediately started their work.A few hours after mapping out the plan, Gianna went out with the maids to study the castle outline. They walked straight to the ballroom, and Gianna paused in the centre, studying the wide scape of it."My lady, what do you think?" A maid asked, coming from behind her. Gianna turned to look at her and noticed that she was t

The following weeks went by in a flash. As the day drew nearer and nearer to the time of the ball, Gianna grew more nervous. Fortunately for her, she had Ana to help her through it all.Ana was the perfect friend she had hoped for. Although they only met whenever she had to work, She still thought it better than having no friend at all. They were done with arranging the ballroom and had already prepared the dishes that would be served that day. She grew more comfortable relating with those who were meant to help her, and she looked forward to always meeting them."What are you going to wear?" Ana asked. They were both in the kitchen overseeing the cooks preparing what was needed for that day. Though the cooking wouldn't begin immediately, it was good to make sure that everything was intact before that day came. "I am not sure yet." She said, watching as a male servant carried a sack of flour into the kitchen. "When that time comes, I guess.""How can you not have a dress prepared? Di

All their attention laid on Gwen, the woman who had just rescued them from the millennial reign of a mad man."What are you doing?" Tyron boomed out of nowhere. "Bow to your new leader!"Gwen turned to look at him, frowning. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "You killed the Supreme Lord of the Enu realm. You are now the new supreme lord." He said simply, shrugging. She frowned, and just as she was about to say something, Luther's wife boomed."You can't be the new leader. Not when my sons are still alive.""Your sons are barely alive," Tyron said, snickering. "Weren't you listening while I was talking? He—" he said, pointing to Luther's corpse. "Used their blood to improve his youth. Whatever he did wasn't working for him anymore, and so he turned to his own blood. Haven't you noticed something wrong with your children? Yourself even?""No!" "This was a special day for us, why did you have to destroy it?"She swallowed, trying hard to be bold. "As I said earlier, I'd rather die than be married to you.""But I can't let that happen. And because if this foolish mistake of yours, your friends will suffer immensely."Immediately, Gwen summoned dark flames, her stance in attack mode. " I will fight you with everything I have."Luther sighed, then raised his fingers towards her. But nothing happened. Frowning, luther stared at his hands, abs Gwen stared st him, wondering what was happening. Immediately he swivels around, trying to hide himself from her, but it was too late. Gwen and Luther finally reached the throne. Though the woman didn’t say anything, Gwen could still much feel the scorching stare of Luther’s wife on her back. She gulped, trying to calm her nerves down. By the time she was done with her plan, anger might be the last thing the woman would feel. “I hold the supreme power in this land.” Luther began. “Therefore, it is only right that i officiate a powerful wedding such as this. You are lucky,” he said, this time whispering to her. “I never did this for my first wedding.” She gritted her teeth, imagining ways by which she could kill him. She didn’t want to marry him. It was the last thing on her mind. The plan she had imagined only required them to go so far, but she never knew that they would wed in front of everyone. If she wanted to defeat this man, she had to do so immediately, and fast. Luther turned around, urging Gwen to do the same. He ran his hand gently across her back, causing cold shivers to crawl up her skin. “People of th

It was the dim light that shone from her eyes. She knew the action she was about to take. Should she fail, that would spell a fate worse than death for her. "Gwen," Sheryl said, coming up from behind her.""I am fine." Gwen answered, sighing. She looked at Tyron through the mirror. He stood at the far corner of the room, his face etched deeply in a frown, with a thick air of misery surrounding him."This is what I have to do. The fate of the realms depends on it," she said.Tyron sighed, then furiously dragged his hands through his hair."I understand, of course I understand. But why does it have to be you?"Gwen frowned slightly, cocking her head. "What do you mean?""I do not want you anywhere near that

"I will let you all leave quietly, but that shouldn't mean you should take any drastic action.""Hey, Prince Luther, I have another request-""Do not push your luck." He boomed, staring coldly at Gwen. He then released a slow sigh. "Do not push your luck. I don't want to have to repeat my past mistakes. Understand?" He said with a forced grin.Gwen gulped, then glanced back at her friends and slowly let the shield down. She stayed in place, not moving an inch until Luther's guards parted for her. They had just rounded off their meeting when the supreme lord suddenly appeared in the garden."Well, well. Why am I not surprised?" He said, walking in. Behind him were several fully armed guards, their presence ominous.Gwen and her friends moved a step back, with Gwen standing in front of them in a protective manner.Luther chuckled. "What do you think you're doing?""I wouldn't let you harm my friends." Gwen said defensively. Luther sighed, shaking his head. "You should have thought of that before you escaped.""Why are you acting like you didn't know when I left that room. You planned all this, just to follow me.""You are smart. I have never doubted that." He said, and Gwen grimaced."Fine then." He clapped his hands. "There is only one thing to do if you want your friends to be safe."Gwen's frown deepened. Make it seem like we are in the Zruch realm or something."Gwen understood immediately what he meant. Hester and Marc had once mentioned that it's Impossible for people to be tracked once they were in the realm. Gwen stared at him in shock. “You are lying.” “I might be many things, my dear, but I will never lie to you.” he sat by the edge of her bed. “I sent him on a mission to bring the Abomination to me. That was what he was doing at first, but his plans changed when he realized you were the Abomination. I don’t blame him though. I would have done the same myself.” Gwen touched a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. He was lying. He had to be. Tyron wasn’t the type who would play her like that. But the more she thought about it, the more the idea seemed plausible. He had never mentioned who his father was, only that he was part of the elite in this realm. He had also said that his father sent him in search for something, which he later claimed to be the abomination. According to him, his “father” was determined to work with the abomination in order to bring down the supreme lord of the Enu realm. “Are you angry?” he asked with a mocking smile. “Do you feel betrayed?” Gwen swallowed, fol

Gwen couldn't sleep. She laid awake all night, afraid that Luther would enter her room. She wasn't stupid to think that just because she had locked the door, it totally prevented him from entering her room. Especially after the display he showcased the previous day. She doubted that the barrier she put around her door could stop him if he so wishes. She was brought food by maids the previous night, but she couldn't eat. For some strange reason, the maids gave off doll-like gestures, almost like they were being controlled like puppets. She wouldn't put it past Luther to actually do that. She had to up her game, and think fast. Her first plan had proven futile, which meant she had to use her second plan—her wits.It was something she detested doing because to achieve her goal, she would have to act like she had no problem being close to Luther which she absolutely did. It was morning. The sunlight seeped through her room from the half-closed windows, pouring over her bedsheets.Quickly
